a lot of people don't deserve black belts but, do you honestly think that the school would reject them of one, when they're paying money for it?

That is exactly the point of the thread. Too many "blackbelts" bought it, not earnt it

thats why i like my art ^_^ its a non-profit organisation, so no one benefits financially from you grading, you just pay for the cost of the belt, the certificate, and for mailing your results to Japan to have them processed. I know several people who have failed black belt gradings.

When you say "non-profit" what do you mean? The instructors dont get paid? They have other jobs? You dont pay for training?
So how much does it cost for your gradings?

I mean that the instructors dont get paid, they have other jobs or are retired. You pay for training but only enough to cover the rent of where you are. If there ends up being excess money it goes into the club account to buy new equipment, send people to japan, sponsor training camps etc. The cost of gradings varies, but the money goes towards getting the grading sheets sent from japan, sending them back, getting your new ID card with your new grade on it, printing the certificates, sending the certificates back, buying the new belt, having the belt enbroidered with your name and the name of the art. It can be a little expensive because sending small packages backwards and forwards from new zealand and japan >.<
