It's funny how only those two little sentences from Sanyu immediately made him deliriously happy. Something warm was exploding inside his chest; it was a firecracker, zooming off to the heavens and catching fire up there, hovering above the world. And he could see himself, like an out of body experience. His eyes were large and looked happier than they had ever been. His mouth was slightly open, the corners curled into a smile like the dog-ears of a well loved book. His heart palpitations were so obvious that even up here he could see his whole body shuddering from them.
He was back in his body again, and how wonderful it was to be in that place too! A secret, just with Sanyu. Something they could share. Emil had never had a secret before. Had he even had a possession before? No, that's right, he did have his scarf, that was definitely a possession. But no, he had never had a gift! He had shared food that hadn't been his to begin with, but that hardly counted.
And also, they had a star of all things! The sky may very well have more of them than he could count, but down on the earth they were precious, rare things indeed.
He gave a little nod, hoping that he had kept some of that in his heart and that it wasn't an entirely embarrassing or obvious display of emotion.
"We had better walk back now," said Emil, calming himself. "It's late, and I'm sure we're all tired. We can meet the others."

To Masao is looked as if one of the gods had flown out of the sky and whispered the secret of the universe into Emil’s ear. He watched with a small smile of amusement and waited for the other Kuniku to come down from seventh heaven.
“Yes, let’s go. Do we have a place to stay yet?” He asked, rising to his feet. Of course, he would be quite happy with a bush to sleep under, but he expected that the others might prefer something a little more solid to keep out the cold winds that blew from the sea.
Masao started moving. First they would need to pick up the others and then they could find somewhere suitable to hole up.

((I love that picture so much, Razz! Utter cuteness. Sorry this'll be short.))
Sanyu pondered Emil's funny expression for a moment, then smiled back at him just as cheerfully as she hoped he was. She hummed a bit and peered at Sorano. He was fluttering down the beach a ways before turning around, impatiently wanting them to get a move on.
"We should," sahe replied to both Masao and Emil's comments. "I hope we'll be able to find where we left them in the darkness. Though we do have a cresent moon to see by. And Sorano can probably spot them, too!"
She ran ahead of the two males, trailing close under the little blue bird.

"Hey, wait up Ha- I mean Sanyu!" called Emil as he watched her take off running down the beach with her tail twitching behind her and her pink tresses bouncing. He began to bound after her. With every thud of his paw, he could feel sand flying back. He had forgotten how tired he was; his muscles gave little groans of annoyance.
Forgetting to address Masao, the one who had asked where they could stay in the first place, Emil called ahead to Sanyu.
"I think there were some nice trees we could kip under back where we left Sovann and Tithe."

Sorano was indeed happy to lead the way. He twittered and darted along, making sure to go slow enough for the Kuniku to keep up. Ah, ground creatures were so slow and cumbersome.
Masao followed at a sedate pace; letting the two others run ahead of him. He was really going to enjoy a good sleep tonight. All the traveling had made him tired and hungry, though he could deal with the food issue in the morning.
When Sorano began to dive towards the area where Tithe and Sovann were, Masao sped up, trotting alongside Emil and Sanyu.

"It seems we do." Feeling a little hurt for his previous question to the white faced kuniku being ignored, he merely repeated himself. 'He probably didn't hear me' "Hello! Yes, me and Tithe were friends when we were just pups. It seems so long ago now... Anyways, my name is Shimoyake. And you are?" He lifted his nose suddenly- still listening to his companions even though it didn't seem so. There were more kuniku's approaching, assumingly [[isn't a word]] the others Tithe had spoken of.
((meh, not the best, but I'm a little rusty for here))

Emil was fast and had plenty of stamina, so he began to sprint to get back sooner. The scenery whipped past him and he found that he had arrived back at the place they had left the others. He locked his legs and skidded to a halt.
There was Sovann with the same bleached face, and Tithe looking like seafoam itself. But there was someone else there; someone blue and brown with rather punk hair and eyes that burned red like a hearth. He had never seen anyone that made him feel this intimidated before. All the girls he knew were sweet, Sovann was like a brother, and he could totally take that wimp Masao any day. But he knew nothing about him. No guarantee that he wasn't a rabble rouser or a grump or violent or haughty or anything. Not one to mince words, Emil blurted out "Who are you?"

Tithe gazed outwards at the quickly approaching kuniku, and smiled at Shimo's comment about their childhood. No reply was needed.
Seeing Emil catch up, Tithe was almost shocked at his expression, Emil just seemed totally baffled by the new blue male. Surely..he wasn't intimidated? Tith began to ponder this with a slight frown on her delicate face. And laughed quite loudly at Emil's outburst of a polite self-introduction.
Oh, everything seemed so grand. And all these new friends just made it all the more fascinating.
