Luminatus
Gaia ID: Luminatus
Character Name: Ezekiel (Greg Chopp)
Age: 29
Organization: Insurgence
Class: Transhumanist
Bio: Ezekiel isn't really his name. He changed it before he turned 10. His mother was part of the board, and his father was the first to join the insurgents. It's funny but his father and mother were perfectly fine untill they started putting chips into people arms.

Nothing made sense to Greg during his first couple years of insurgencey. His father never spoke of his mother but he knew she was looking for them. Well one day she did...

It was brutal, and she just sat and watched. When he stopped twitching she turned and left, the guards continued to search out and kill any insurgents that were still hiding, but Greg was able to escape.

He found other orphans and rejects and began to form an organisation, a group of pirates. They called themselves the White hand, liberating people from the clutches of the Illuminati and the new world order.

He recently left his home of Ontario to come rally a resistance movment in the states. And where better than New York. His skill with a gun is unparaleled and his tactics are best matched by that of high ranking generals.

He knows no one in New York and without a chip he can't go anywhere, so he spends his time in a hidout near grand central station, hiden amongst the tracks.

He's taken as many precautions as possible to avoid being found as his absence is surely noticed by now in Guelph, his home town. They will be looking for him, unfortunately they don't know where he's gone. but it will soon be time to resurface and gather the resistance under the banner of the White hand.

Appearance: Avi (without Gwee whee )

Update:

Quote:
Sniper Rifle
Atk: +100, accuracy becomes 80%
Cost: 3500 Uno
Effect: You can only use it from far far away. Once a shot is made, you can shoot again after 2 turns (posts)

I have to make sure that the sniper rifle is not abused.

Its also sold out. 1 sniper per team should be enough.

Just trying to sort out the Battle aspect of the RP for myself. Stop me at any of the points if I'm wrong.

-When you attack, the base values are dictated by the Character Class.
-But when you're attacking with a weapon, you add the attack value of the weapon to your base attack and the accuracy value to your base accuracy.
-On top of that, given your Character Class, you gain additional bonuses depending on whether or not you're using a long or short ranged weapon. Also, certain accessories add to your accuracy with long ranged weapons.
-In this way, it is possible for certain Character Classes to attain accuracies meeting or even exceeding 100%. (?)

Yep. Like how fighters have 35 base atk

Quote:
-But when you're attacking with a weapon, you add the attack value of the weapon to your base attack and the accuracy value to your base accuracy.

If it says "+" before the number for either stat (atk, acc), then you ADD the value to your base attack or accuracy. If there is no "+" sign, you replace the value.

Yes...

Such as the scope, except it can't be used with the sniper rifle.

We'll make 90% the maximum accuracy.

Okay. That puts me at ease. It seemed a little broken for characters to just be able to grab a broadsword and hit... every time.

Yeah, thats why I'm trying to regulate and solve every problem with the RP before we begin. Which is why there can only be two snipers in the whole thing and you can only snipe every 2 turns.

((I've got to be honest, this is my first time using an actual battle system....))

Shirli leaned across the dusty counter in the dingy shop she was in. It took her a few weeks, but she had finally found a reliable place to buy equipment without her chip. Looks like things were definitely looking up.

"You again?" a gruff clerk greeted her.

Shirli smiled. Pointing as she went along, she said, "A shotgun, yea - that one right there, five additional shells and a Broadsword."

"Four-thousand Unos. You got that much on you, kid?" he answered as he laid the goods on the counter.

With that, she held the money up to the bit of light coming into the shop, and then handed it over to him.

The salesclerk hesitated, then laughed roughly. "Who am I to question good business?"

As he was opening the register, Shirli took the weapons and even began loading the shotgun with a trembling hand. If this was what it took to bring revolution across a corrupted world.. then goddamn, so be it.

The cashier handed Shirli her change. She saw him watch her, with such a strange mix of determination and fear in her eyes as she handled the weapon, but appreciated it when he didn't say anything.

With that, Shirli bade goodbye and walked to the exit where she would have to hit an alley almost immediately.

((Alright.. so with that purchase, and the prayer wheel I mentioned earlier, my stats would look a little like this:

HP: 300/300
SP: 220/220
Atk: 20+80, 40%+20% (Shotgun Equipped)
Weapon:
Long Range: Shotgun (+80, +20%)
Short Range: Broadsword (+50, +30%)
Ammo: 10 shotgun shells
Acssry: Prayer Wheel Pendant (SP+20)
Location: W 114th St. (Across the street from Columbian University, very close to Broadway)
Unos: 11,000

yes? bit new at this, so correct me if I'm wrong. sweatdrop ))

It was a warm brisk summer morning and to day was the day that Natanyel was going to go sparing with his fellow insurgent. His alarm rang as it fell a pon 6 A.M. When it rang A giant hand appeared from under the covers and he lightly smacked the top of the clock. He pulled off the top of his covers and he sat up right staring at the sunrise. He brought his hand to the top of his head and rubbed it a bit as he stood up and stretched out hi body letting out a great big yaun. He then dropped to the floor falling perpendicular with is bead and cought him self before he hit the ground and did fifty military stiled push ups. After doing his pushups he had gone to the bathroom to take a shower. As he was doing so he had terrible flash backs of the day the illuminatie shot his father. He could still here the ring of the shot, the cry of his mother, and the last moment when he held his father in his hands and swore vengeance to him. He then walked out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist and changed in to his usual color, black.

He walked out of his appartement and to his garage in the back. He hopped on his fathers old Harley Davidson and drove off to the ammo depot. When he got their he threw a duffle bag on the counter. Then the tall big cashier turns around and with a low southern voice he says: "what can i do ya for?" "I need you to put in this duffle bag 1 wheather 10 9mm hand gun, 1 shot gun, 1 katana, body armor, 1 first aid kit, and 2 boxes of 9mm ammo and 2 boxes of shotgun shells." As Natanyel orderd the cashier carefully set everything in the duffle bag, he then rang up the price and said that will be 8,700 unos. He payed the man and then threw the duffle bag over his shoulder as he walked out of the store.

When he walked out he hopped back on to the Harley and drove to the docks in Lower Manhattan where he would meet his team mate to dispatch on a boat to the Island.

I'm liking it so far. But remember that this is an OOC/practice thread and not the real RP.

So you might want to practice fighting with say that one hippi guy or someone else.

We'll start the real thread once we have enough people in all groups...

James swore under his breath as he remembered that he forgot to buy ammo for his new gun. He pulls over the AIA owned car, takes a quick look down the lighted street and performs a u-turn. This time he was going inside the AIA's weapon cache. Talking to that cured speaker box was the most annoying thing in Hell.

When he arrives at the AIA weapon cache, he slowly pulls his car into a small building. The reflective silver walls revealed to James that there was a scratch on the passenger side. James let out a frustrated sigh and exits the car, "'Bout due for another pay cut anyway." He walks out of the small building and over to the black and silver box. He pressed some keys on it and the box awarded him a ticket. He takes the ticket and watches the car slowly sink into the ground to the real garage.

After a short walk to the much larger building, air conditioning, white walls and the weird smell of floor polish greets James. A single black stripe runs along the wall where the ceiling and wall meet. A thick, gray door lies before him and the automatic glass doors close behind him. To his left is a room with thick, bullet-proof glass which contains a 40 year-old man working with some equipment. The man looks up from his work and notices James.

"Hey, James. Long time no see. Thought you were cheating on me with that speaker box," the man spoke to the microphone in front of him. The speakers above James echoed the man's cheerful tone.

"Nah, not yet, Victor," James replied in a bored manner as he started to fill out the paperwork for some new equipment, "By the way, you should fire that speaker guy."

The man named Victor laughed at James's joke before asking, "Oh? Why's that?"

James slid the clipboard through the small slit in the glass, "He didn't ask for I.D."

Victor takes the clipboard with a face of disappointment, "Oh. Well, it is his first day and all." He looks over the papers and types something in the computer beside him. "That'll be 6000 U"

Money already in hand, James hands Victor the cash, "Give him another position then. With Insurgents running around, we can't take any risks."

Victor gives an agreeable nod, "I'll see what I can do." A man emerges through the gray door, handing James several packs of .50 caliber sniper rifle ammo. James gives a gruff "thanks" and relieves the man of the miniature killers.

"Take it easy, buddy!" Victor calls out to James.

"Yeah, you too," James leaves the large building and is once again acquainted with the warm night air. He makes his way to the small building and feeds his ticket to the small box. The car slowly emerges from below, with two scratch marks on the side. A more frustrated sigh was all he could do as he entered the vehicle. It was going to be a long ride back to Headquarters.

Haha. Don't worry. I'm not going to make a page long description every time he buys ammo. I'm just a little anxious to start role playing. sweatdrop Anyways, he bought four packs of ammo. So that brings his stats up to:

Name: James "Chill" Flint
HP: 1100/1100
SP: 30/30
Atk: Sniper Rifle 160, 80%
Secondary: Katana 120, 80%
Ammo: 4/4, 20 total
Acssry: Body Armor
Unos: 1,500
Location: AIA Headquarters

I think waiting two turns with a sniper rifle nerfs it pretty bad. If James shoots one turn and wait two turns, out of those three turns, he'll only do 53.3 damage. sweatdrop Even if he waits one turn, that's a straight 80 damage per turn while the shotgun and katana deliver 80 plus base attack each turn. I think making characters wait a turn to reload would be enough. The sniper has the shortest clip size anyway.

EDIT: Made a mistake on the sniper rifle's clip size. sweatdrop

Gaia ID: Terrorking02
Character Name: Clint
Age: 22
Organization: Insurgence
Class: Cyborg
Bio: Clint has always been a bit old-fashioned. Born in the south he was raised on a ranch by his foster parants in a reasonably uneventful life with little media at all to brainwash him exept for some old comic books.

When he came to new york after graduating high school, he started up a shop called the Demons Tear, which sold guns. Because of some recent liscensing problems though, soon after arrival he had problems getting stock.

Then he happened upon some members of something called the insurgence, which was willing to supply him with whatever spare weaponry they found and didn't need, or brought him broken guns to repair. His buisness thrived. Then he met up with a rather unconventional member of the insurgence, an artificial intelligence program called Eevee.

Eevee became a firewall programmer, and created a Verichip compatable one that sucessfully blocked out all non-local interface, meaning anyone who had it installed could not be accessed or monitered remotely. It was a colossal releif for him, as he was afraid that the Illuminati Men would shut him down soon for conspiring with the insurgency. He had to spread it to as many insurgents and Anarchic Elders as possible he knew, but not without a price. They'd have to come through his shop and prove that they'd accomplished something worthwhile to the Anarchist cause. Meanwhile, while Eevee was busy with self-upgrading anti-government firewall algorithms, Clint was tinkering with his Junk yard supply of guns, creating customized versions for himself, and maybe something to sell if the customer is willing to pay a high enough price...

So far he had created an "Enhanced" gunpowder for his two revolvers, which made a lot of noise, produced a lot of smoke, and dramatically lowered his accuracy in exchange for power and range. He also modified a shotgun to accept reuseable shells that he could fill with... just about anything: Sand, rocks, glass shards, used shrapnel, etc... It got rid of an ammo factor but reduced it's range to something pitiful.

Clint anxiously awaits orders from one of the elders because he wishes to put his unique weapons to better use than decoration.
Appearance: He's dressed in Jeans, a plain white T-shirt, a brown suade jacket, a matching cowboy hat, and wears a silver skull pendant around his neck. He's got your average build, is certainly no shorty though by any means, and has become addicted to cigarettes, so he always has one in his mouth. A scruffy sort of beard lays on the lower regions of his face (like any other beard). It has the look to it that he does shave it, but not often enough, and he's due for another session with the barber. He wears cowboy boots with spurs on them (yes he does quite stand out in a crowd), and has a very relaxed attitude to himself, but a seemingly rash and reckless attitude at other times hides an underlying all-buisness thought process.

Base Stats
HP: 1000/1000
SP: 20/20
Atk: 180, 50% (Revolver equipped, Modified Shotgun Equipped)
Weapon: Revolvers, Modified Shotgun
Ammo: Modified Custom Bullets
Acssry: None
Unos: 10,000 (buisness is slowing...)

Items for sale in shop: (To purchase simply provide proof of anarchist loyalty and you might recieve a discount or even a freebie!)

Ranged Weapons:
Revolver:
Atk: +50 (accuracy becomes 50%, only accepts custom ammo)
Ammo: /6
Cost: 2000 unos

Close Range Weapons:
Modified Shotgun:
Atk: +50
Ammo: Not needed
Cost: 2000 unos

Ammo:
Custom ammo:
Amount: 6 shots
Cost: 200 unos

Seeing as how this is an OOC/ practice thread I thought it the perfect opportunity to ask about the rule bending as stated above. If you do not approve, of course I will be be forced to modify in order to comply with the rules.
