"That's a new one," Jack laughed and gently toppled Jacoba onto her back, tickling her. "Wisp. How'd you have a kid who talks twee?" he asked his friend.

"She does it on purpose," Beatrix said, with no real bite behind the words. "Mainly to annoy. Wisp. What kind of name is Wisp?" (The small girl gurgled.) "It sounds like a remnant of the early nineteen-sixties."

"Do I look as though I'm wearing bellbottoms and discussing world peace?" Exasperated as she looked, it didn't quite meet the voice. "Wisp is a dreadful name. Dreadful. It sounds like a character in a - if this name sticks, Jacoba, you are grounded until you are thirty," she threatened.
"Wisp!" said Jace, satisfied.

Jack laughed and reached out for the little blonde in Bea's arms. "You can always give her a proper name an' use Wisp affectionately," he pointed out. "It's better than what your girl here wanted t' call her."

Beatrix already had a sinking feeling that even if she were to find an incredibly appropriate, classic, teasing-unfriendly name for her newest little girl, Wisp would stick anyway. Wisp. Wisp it was. The unfortunately-named Wisp just giggled and held out her arms to Jack; she looked as though she were the type of baby to be a grotesquely cute snuggler, and proved it by doing such. Beatrix sat next to Jace, who would not have snuggled had her life depended upon it.
"You're right," she said, "unfortunately."

"When am I not?" Disgustingly satisfied with her answer, Jack chucked Wisp under the chin and settled back. "Now, then... When are you going to come over for dinner?" Thus things settled back to normal despite the new face and the balance was restored.
