This is why I don't go in the ADT, or in the ED. Wasted too much time trying to convince the idiots and only got ad hom and stupidity thrown back. I'm severely tempted to go in there and whack at them, but it does no good. Logic just bounces off of them. They make weaker and weaker arguments then when you notify them of it they scurry off into some little hole to never return. It's maddening - why can't they just accept that their arguments and basis are crumbling under them and just...concede?

I think they need another new Slogan, those Pro-Lifers.

The more I read these arguments the more I feel like this is some crack-pot scheme from Hitler-Incarnate who wants to kill as many women as possible as quick as possible.

Lady Adriata I don't think you're damaged goods. I don't think that anybody who's had bad things happen to them and ******** them up a little is damaged goods, especially if they're moving on with their life and at least trying to be productive. Bad, scarring things happen to everyone-- some sooner than others, some worse than others.. but almost nobody lives a life in a perfect, thornless bed of rose petals. Humans are all FLAWED, yes-- but these experiences, even the negative ones we're forced to endure, have shaped many of us into the compassionate and thoughtful women we are today. We could have taken our abusive and damaging pasts to be bitter-- "IF I had to suffer then EVERYONE has to suffer!" but instead all of us who have choose the alternative route. "I had to suffer but I hope to God that no one else will." Have we been scarred by bad experiences? Yes. Have some of us had our opinions and outlooks shaped by our experiences? Yes. But that's not a bad thing just because the experiences were bad-- a lot of time, being able to use a bad experience as reference and to defend someone ELSE is the silver lining in a dark cloud like abuse.
Certainly I don't mean to imply that my life is all bad or something. I like life (and I mean a lot), and as much as I hate what happened to me, I am also firmly of the belief that not everything that came of my abuse was bad. I have greater insight into some things (like abuse, suicide, depression, and anxiety) than most people do because I went through them.

Some of it is as stupid as that part in The Birdcage where Nathan Lane's character says the doctors are just doing their job, and that if you're going to kill anybody "Kill the mothers!"
Albert: [discussing abortion] Oh, I know what you're going to say. "If you kill the mother, the fetus dies too." But the fetus is going to be aborted anyway, so why not let it go down with the ship?

Ick what about this guy in the ADT who's so anti-choice it's not even funny the way he's all for forced sterilization and forcing people NOT to reproduce?
And then he wants us to admit that he's SUPERIOR? I'm not going to waste my time on an anti-religion bigot like him. He basically said those of who are religious on the Pro-Choice side are a rarity among Faith-heads. Yes because my opinion about being Pro-Choice doesn't count even though I go against his argument that "RELIGIOUS PEOPLE R AGAINST ABORTION ALWAYZ LOL" because I am religious.
I don't have a psuedo-intellectual insult to call him so I'll just consider him a dumb a**.
