Water began to rise from the lake but soon it came crashing down. But of course he wasn't going to be able to perform a new jutsu on his first attempt. So he tried again but he got the same result. The water just splashing all over him. Drenching his clothes and the ground where he stood. He wondered what he might be doing wrong. He thought that he might not be exerting enough chakra but he also thought that he just wasn't controlling it well enough. He would have to try each method.

Wrath wanted to reach jonin rank within a year and to do that he need to master as many jutsu as he could, as well as improve the rest of his skills. Wrath stopped for a brief moment and stepped into the water of the lake but he didn't go out far. Only far enough to submerge his ankles. But once he was in the water he took a deep breath and then exhaled it so he could try again.

He focused his chakra and made a few hand sign as fast as he could. The water in front of him started to lift up into the air but only made it to chest hight. Learning the shark bullet was a difficult task but he aimed to do it. He was determined to show everyone that he was top dog in the village. When the ripples in the lake settled, Wrath removed his hakama and tossed in back onto dry land. So now he stood there in a pair of white boxers that had be soaked in lake water just like the rest of him.

Finally Wrath continued to try and figure out his jutsu. He focused his chakra, repeated the hand signs, and then released it. Still he came up with the same exact result. There must have been something he was missing but he wasn't sure what it could possibly be. He tied using up more chakra and yeah the stream of water rose higher but it still fell back into the lake. And he was already concentrating hard as it was.

Even though it was taking time, he kept at it. He focused his chakra and continued to try performing the jutsu. And Wrath would keep trying even if he passed out from over exerting his chakra. The next few weeks were going to be hell on his chakra network because Wrath had a few more jutsu he wanted to learn that his uncles showed him.

Trying to learn this juts was taking a toll on him like it would if he was actually performing the real thing. It was viscous. He felt that he only had a few more attempts in him until he would burn out for the day. He focused his chakra and then tried the jutsu again. Even though the water rose higher than before it still came crashing down, creating a big splash.

His performance was somewhat frustrating but he was make slight progress. So he wasn't angry or in a bad mood, just annoyed. But so on he pushed himself. Pushing his chakra past its limit so he could get more of a result than a small splash. If he was going to fail the jutsu he wanted it to be a t least a big splash to show that he was close to mastering it.

Wrath focused his chakra and made a few more hand signs, then released the jutsu. The water lifted into the air over his head and stayed there for a moment but then feel back down. The waves of the water pushed against him but he was able to keep his ground. He rested for a moment to catch his breath and when he was breathing close enough top normal he started again.

Wrath was finally low on chakra and he was good for one more attempt, then that was it. He focused what chkra he had left and made the necessary hand signs. And after releasing his chakra a boom of water shot straight up into the air and then came raining down. It wasn't exactly what he wanted but it was close. He had force that time but now he needed to give it direction. That would be where he was really going to struggle.

Wrath had then fallen back onto the shore of the island, feeling tired as hell. He was exuasted and all he wanted to do now was rest. He laid where he was for a moment then rolled farther up the island to keep away from crocs.

After Elruda had been reading for some time, she began to wonder what her teacher was doing. It wasn't polite to spy but the young Hyuuga knew at least she would be able to do so without Wrath directly knowing. Well, a shinobi of his caliber would feel as if someone was watching but...that wasn't important.
She activated her bloodlimit and the walls of the library fell transparent. It always amused her how Hyuugas could see through walls. Soon, she could see the outside of the temple. It took her a little bit of time to scout around the temple before she finally spotted Wrath due to tall-tale signs of chakra.
From how the water of the lake rose after he made a few hand seals, she realized he was trying to perform a suiton jutsu. By seeing how hard he was trying to master the jutsu, right then Elruda decided Wrath was someone more than deservant of her respect. Though Elruda knew Hyuugas were always a taijutsu type shionibi, she couldn't help but imagine what it would be like to perform such jutsus. Katon, Fuuton, Suiton, and Doton...
To her eyes, the suiton ninjutsu was beautiful...entrancing...

Wrath had fallen asleep after his last few attempts of the suiton jutsu. However he awoke later that evening. He sat up an grunted from fatigue and slowly started to get up. Once he was standing he walked back to the lake's shore and dipped his head into the water, then shaking his hair out after bringing his head back up. He was going to keep trying at the shark bullet jutsu until he got it.

Wrath focused his chakra and made the required hand signs. The water rose like it had before but there was still no direction to it. He thought long hand hard of how he could get it to do what it was supposed to do. Yet nothing came to mind.

Wrath built up his chakra again, made a few hand signs, and then tried to arch the water when it shot up. However he was unable to do so. Becoming frustrated Wrath rapidly made the hand signs and attempted the jutsu again but the results were the same.

Learning the shark bullet was a difficult task but he aimed to do it. He was determined to show everyone that he was top dog in the village. He had more control over the jutsu now. He wasn't getting soaked from the water anymore.
