"Aye," Dark responds to Maddy and looks down at the little girl. "Ye best be ready 'fer a confrontation there lass." Dark then follows the group into the jungle.
"Aye Captain Daddy!" The pirate girl responds and follows her father quickly.

The jungle got thicker and thicker as they ventured deeper and deeper (and it was already thick around the edge to begin with). Maddy was trying to follow the footsteps, but the thick underbrush made them difficult to keep track of and soon they disappeared altogether. Regardless, they pressed on. They'd find something eventually.
After a few moments, a rustling could be heard coming from all around them. Maddy stopped in her tracks and made sure Matthias was safe behind her, as he had no Pokemon to protect himself yet.
Wild Pokemon jumped out of the bushes. All of them were either Electric- or Ghost-type.
"Everyone! Fight one of each type, and capture one if you want! Unless you got a White Flute..."
With that, she whipped out a Pokeball and a battle ensued.

*A Lampent and a Mareep appear*
Me: Double you say. Jellicent, Sandile go! Surf and dig Mareep!
*Sandile goes underground as a great wave of water hits the two opposing Pokemon, with Lampent taking great damage*
*Lampent tries a Wil-O-Wisp on Sandile, but Sandile is already under ground while Mareep Sparks Jellicent for good damage*
Me: Again.
*Sandile comes up and hits Mareep hard, but affected by STATIC electricity, while Jellicent sends a wave that KOs Mareep, and severely hurts Lampent and Sandile*
*Lampent sends a great ectoplasmic ball at Jellicent, who barely holds on*
Me: Ultra Ball, go!
Wiggle...
Wiggle...
Wiggle...
DING!
Me: Only I can prevent forest fires.

"'Ere ya 're lass, a Pokemon 'ta protect yerself wif." Dark says and tosses Alarice a Pokeball.
"Oh wow, really Dadd- I mean Captain Daddy?!"
"Aye lass. I figure ye be more than old enough ta learn th' ins 'n outs 'o tha Pokemon battles. Now have at ye'!"
Alarice nods and turns to a wild Electibuzz. She then throws the Pokeball and a Scrafty appears. The Scrafty scoffs at the wild Electabuzz.
The Electabuzz then attacks with Thunderpunch. Scrafty is hit but shakes it off thanks to the level difference.
"Oh... Oh no, Daddy what do I do?!" Alarice begins to panic a bit.
"Settle down lass an' remember what I taught ya. Ryu there is 'a fightin' and dark type. Ya should be able ta at least guess some 'o 'is moves." Dark crosses his arms and watches with confidence.
"Uhh... Ryu High-Jump Kick!" Alarice shouts.
"Hmmm that's a wee bit risky..."
Ryu swaggers about before leaping into the air and landing a powerful jump kick right into Electabuzz's face, ko'ing it almost instantly.
"Yaaaayyy!!" Alarice jumps with glee.
The trees split a bit and a Golurk emerges from the darkness.
"'Oy lass! Golurk be a ghost type and th' gho-"
"I know Daddy, ghosts are weak to dark! Ryu use Crunch!"
Ryu leaps towards the Golurk and bites down hard with it's teeth, emitting a sound that resembles the attack name. The wild Pokemon roars in pain and collapses.
"Alright, that's my girl!" Dark shouts and breaks character due to his happiness. He quickly wraps his arms around his daughter and hugs her tight.
"I'm proud of you Alarice." Dark smiles and looks at his Pokemon.n"and good job as always Ryu. Y'a never let me down."
The Pokemon nods confidently and rubs his knuckles against his chest boastfully.

"Awright!" Arekku called, holding up his Vibrava's Pokeball, "Kimmy! You ready?" He asked the Pokemon, who nodded as a Banette zoomed at the two, "Alright, Kimmy, Faint Attack!" The Dark Type attack smacked the Banette in the face, knocking it off balance, but the foe recovered quickly, gathering up a blob of evil thoughts and Ghost Type energy and blasted it into Kimmy's back, causing her to lose a large chunk of health. "Kimmy! Are you alright?" The Aquan called to his Pokemon, she nodded, turning quickly back to the Banette and used a powerful Dragon Pulse, knocking it back to pass thought a few trees, "Alright, Kimmy, back off for now." He ordered, grabbing one of his last Pokeballs, a Shiny Ball, and tossing it to catch the Pokemon. It hit the ground with a flash of color changing properties and began wobbling.

.......Ding! The Banette had been caught! Arekku found his way over to the Pokeball as it teleported away and went over to make sure Kimmy was alright. As soon as he found that she was fine he caught up with the rest of the group. Of course, he had his White Flute with him, but he noticed that the rest of the Pokemon in the area seemed to scatter away from him.

Maddy sent out Su, her Tyranitar, against a Gengar. She handed Matthias her TADS; it had a list of Su's known moves on its screen.
"Ok, Matthias. I know you've been reading up on it. I want you to use that move list to beat that Gengar."
"Yes, Mom!"
Matthias looked down at the move list.
"Su, use Crunch!" He commanded.
Gengar flew forward fast as lightning and hit Su with an unavoidable Shadow Punch. Gengar's fist came into contact with Su's rock-hard chest, but didn't faze her one bit. She knelt over and quickly chomped down on Gengar's arm with a surprising amount of pressure. Gengar cried out with pain.
Matthias scanned the screen for the next move.
"Use Dark Pulse!"
Gengar let loose a series of hypnotic waves, attempting to put Su to sleep before she initiated her attack. The Hypnosis failed, and Su countered by barraging Gengar with pulses of dark energy. The Gengar fainted.
Su turned towards her next opponent, a Raichu.
"That's an easy one! Earthquake!"
A strong current of electricity burst from Raichu's body and connected with Su, but she merely shook off the blow. She slammed her left foot hard into the ground, causing a ground-shattering Earthquake that KO'd her final opponent.
Maddy returned Su and clapped her son on the shoulder.
"Good job, Matthias."
She smiled at him and waited for the others to finish up.

As Arekku was about to catch up completely, a sudden change in atmosphere seemed to shock him, "IGYaaaaakjdhfazsdf!!" He cried, falling to the ground, "You little-!" He turned to glare, but couldn't seem to find where he'd been shocked from. "Eh...? I don't even see- GRAFDSDFCX!" Arekku fell over, hearing a Pokemon's laugh. He looked down near his feet to see the Trap Pokemon, a Stunfisk. Enraged, he held up his White Flute and played a short but catchy tune, "Smarty pants... Alright, let's go Manny!" He called his Piloswine out, "Manny, Icicle Crash!" He called, watching as the Stunfisk let loose another Thunderbolt which bounced off Manny ineffectively allowing her to rush forward and let loose a barrage of Icicles. This attack was just enough to put it down enough for an Ultra Ball to catch it, so Arekku thought, he quickly tossed the ball to enclose around the Pokemon.

.......Ding! The Stunfisk had been caught, Arekku smirked at the funny looking Pokemon who had been teleported away into his PC box.

As everyone began to finish up their battles, Maddy pressed onward through the thick jungle. It was getting very dark in the jungle, as the sun had set a while ago and the canopy was too thick in most places for the moonlight to seep though. She conjured up a ball of flame. The flame was white because, unlike her usual flames, it consisted of holy magic. It wasn't very strong, as demons weren't very good at grasping the art of holy magic, but it was bright enough to illuminate the area so they weren't tripping all over the place and getting separated. She held the flame close, as to prevent a forest fire from starting, but not too close, as the holy magic would begin to harm her.

Ren looked at a pair of Rotom that charged at him, and he called out a second pokemon, his Axew.
"Luna, Axew, use Rock Tomb" Ren ordered and the Rotoms both used discharge as rocks rose around them like a tomb, trying to hurt them by smooshing them a bit. The rocks struck the rotoms hard at first, but their discharges soon blew them apart, and hit axew and lunatone. Lunatone shook it off pretty easily, but Axew fainted and Ren returned it to it's pokeball.
"Nincada and Larvesta, come out" Ren called, and the bug pokemon emerged from their pokeballs "Nincada, final gambit. Larvesta, Psychic. Lunatone, Rockslide"
Nincada and Larvesta struck one of the rotom, making it faint, and lunatone hit the other hard stunning it. Ren threw a pokeball at the stunned rotom, sucking it into the pokeball, and after a few moments it was caught. He walked over and picked up the pokeball.
Nincada's attack made it faint as well, so he recalled it to it's pokeball.

Dark and Alarice follow behind Maddy. Dark seems a bit distracted while Alarice seems extremely eager to have another battle.

"Skorupi, Snowy, Milo" Kasumi called her Skorupi, Snover, and Feebas from their pokeballs as a chinchou and a rotom came after her
Kasumi was beside a stream, so her feebas appeared in it with the chinchou. Kasumi jumped into the stream with water up to her ankles between feebas and chinchou as rotom and chinchou used discharge.
Kasumi used her ability to protect herself from the discharges, and to protect the feebas behind her. Skorupi, Snowy, and Solrock were hit by the electrical attacks but remained alright. Kasumi made the temperature rise and the sun seemed much brighter. Her Solrock and snover were in a spot where the sun broke through too, which was perfect.
"Solrock, Snowy, Solar Beam on Rotom, Milo, Skorupi, icebeam on chinchou." Kasumi ordered as the feebas swam in between her legs and the four attacks were unleashed. The solar beams hit the rotom, stunning it, and the icebeams struck chinchou, stunning it. She threw a pokeball at the chinchou and after a few moments it was caught. She recalled her pokemon to their balls, except Solrock, and went to pick up Chinchou's pokeball.

Maddy shrugged.
"It's useful for me to learn all branches of magic, enough though that particular one is the most dangerous to me."
After a few more minutes of wandering through the maze of trees and various other plants, they stumbled out into a clearing. The area here was completely rid of trees and the moonlight provided enough light for them to see, so Maddy allowed her fireball to fade away into nothingness. In the middle of the area was a group of people digging at something with shovels. Each person wore a bandana tied around the upper part of their arm. These bandanas were yellow, with a plain black rectangle on them. One man stood out from the group, and he was dressed up as a pirate.
"Well... Uh..."
Suddenly the whole group looked over at Team Aqua, and without saying anything they sent out their Pokemon and rushed them. It seemed they all had Electric- and Ghost-type Pokemon. The man dressed like a pirate vanished.
"Everyone, fight at least one of those men! It seems they each carry 2-3 Electric- and/or Ghost-type Pokemon!"
