Malaryush Peppermint Elf Malaryush Peppermint Elf I'm assuming everyone got an invitation to try out the beta of Gaia Towns and that's why it's so damn laggy. stare I didn't get one as Fomite, so I switched over here and had one. I imagine it'll be too laggy for me to use, but I'll give it a go. surprised I was able to get in without any real problems. It was pretty slow, but what isn't slow with dial-up? I was able to move around for a little bit, but then I wasn't. I took a handful of screenshots before I got bored and closed it, anyway. I'll see if I can upload them somewhere.

It's not really all that exciting so far. There are no other people to interact with, just NPCs that skitter to and fro, occasionally spewing out emoticons. I played with the animated emoticons for a minute or so, then I was pretty much finished. sweatdrop Once there are other people there to chat with, I imagine it could be pretty fun. Removed the screenshots after I saw Stream's post. sweatdrop Somehow, I missed that.

Peppermint Elf Musuu There's a theory that if you donated last month you can get an invite. Debunked. Several people that got in didn't donate for the last two or three months. There does seem to be a tendency for people with early start dates, high post counts, and regular donation habits to get it.

I heard people can get in even though they weren't invited by a leaked URL.

Although it seems like they might have included that in the PM instead of putting it in the forum, since they indicate the forum as a place to go to report bugs or discuss the Towns -- which one probably wouldn't do until after one had already checked the Towns out. sweatdrop
