Personally, I hope I don't fight Ertai in the earlier match-ups. Not so much because I'm fearful of losing against him or anything, but because it'd ruin how I'm managing things with my character in this tournament [thus far.]
Neh. Anywho, I think Magic could be explained with Science in a roleplay - but it.. depends on the roleplay. I remember one roleplay that had a individual post [3rd or 4th from the first] with tons of paragraphs, with an extremely well written and interesting take on how magic is created, syphoned through one's body, and expelled into an actual, physical form. And it's toll on the caster's body. Not to mention, how it plays into a caster's cells - and how they almost renew during the casting process, but then deteriorate afterwards to a small extent.
That was ages ago, though. ;.; Damned odd, but a nice read. Anywho, SHYLAAAAWN.. JEEENKIIINSSSS!

That's the point, people trying to dress up magic in scientific jargon aren't being scientific because no matter how many pseudointellectual words they use it is magic, not science.
