Pen snatched the device away from Luc with a sort of a scowl. "Really? do want us to get stuck in this time? I don't know about you but I don't thinking breaking it will help anything."

Once the screams faded out and they had found a place far enough away from the chaos KD sat on the ground her face in her hands... why here? why this memory? They are all going to think I'm some kind of monster. She heard Pen yell at Luciano and looked up, "Yes, please... people think elves are 'of the devil' here... we need to find a way out."

"Well so far we know its not voice activated and it does hone in on the past of the person who is holding it." With scrutiny Pen rolled the device in her hands to see if it was damaged in anyway. Her eyes darted to KD however and a wave of worriness over took her. She hadn't known KD for that long but she sure had things in her past she didn't want people to see.
"That sure was some show, KD. Were you always...in those types of...situations?"

Luciano shouted at Pen, "Well, I didn't hear you come up with a good solution!!" He grunted, then made sure nobody was coming before he grabbed the device back and said, "I'm going to find a way out for us!"

"Not after that..." KD looked toward where the orange light of fire was burning, "...happened. I was much more powerful before then, but causing that much energy caused some... issues. I lost some of my power and some of my brain, for lack of a better word. I was in a worse mess right after that, I had to relearn how to talk, and how to use magic... I am still struggling today, but have gotten better... for the most part." Tears began to weld up in her eyes, "I really did not want to hurt anyone, but I had no choice..."

Luciano inspected the device just a bit more, meanwhile Michelle walked over to KD and hugged her. Luciano scratched his head a bit, then he said, "********- Someone PLEASE figure out how to work this thing?" Luciano banged on it a little bit more, then scratched his head.

Pen and grabbed it from Luc again more enraged that he was banging it around. "I said don't hurt it Luc! Your going to get us.." before Pen could finish the now familiar blue light over took them again. They were back in Durem again but still dizzy Pen didn't know where just yet.
"Are we home?"

After the blue light faded, Luciano found himself standing up, and he was also busy. Michelle disconnected from KD and slowly stood up, "If we are home. . . I should probably call my parents. . ." Luciano shook his head as he looked around, ". . . Something feels different, though. . I don't know what it is just yet. . ."

Pen looked down to see that she and Luc were both still holding the device. She looked rather worried as she also felt like this wasn't exactly home.
"I wonder what happens when both of us are holding the device."
Jade had fallen right behind Pen this time and also noticed the different air about the place. "Hey, who is that?" He pointed over to a couple of elves one with a lengthy ponytail.

Luciano gasped and motioned for everyone to get down. Luciano then said to the group, "Everyone stay here, I'll go take a look. . ." Luciano drew one his modified revolvers and snuck up for a closer look. Once he was closer, he realized that it was him and Pen from a way long time ago.  Luciano froze in his spot, he stared at his past self; The way he stood, and his cocky grin. . He remembered that he used to be a very serious Journalist. Without a care in the world. . Luciano clenched his jaw as he stared at himself, then felt his own face just to feel scar tissue that his former nemesis gave him. . . Luciano missed being able to look at himself in the mirror and not resent what he saw. He was jealous of his past self.

Pen darted for cover the minute she recognized herself.  Instead of her signature twin tails, a poorly brushed pony tail that ran down her skinny neck hung in its place. The clothing she wore was worn out and too big in places that covered her aching body. Worst of all, she was still wearing that darn apron from that hideous bar she work.She looked nothing like she did now. The attitude wasn't something she was all to proud of: way too over the top grouchy. Oh how she hated life back then and only that one scar was there which would later become an permanent X on her cheek. This was a tough time, where she was unsure where she was going and didn't trust a soul. Before her tats, before her bladed knuckles; when she was only a skirt that drunk men yelled at. She pitied that elf.

Luciano looked over at Pen then looked back over to his past self and Pen's past self. He stared at himself for a long time, then he said, ". . . Well. . I've changed a lot since then."

(One post tonight guys, sorry but I'm really beat.)
"Yeah," was all Pen could say for she was fixed on their younger selves. It was a little funny seeing how much they changed not only in appearance but in personality.
The Pen now walking towards a young Luc had the world taken from her. No future and no ties of family. All she had to look forward too was the prospect that she may get out of this situation, to live instead of living. Though acting like she had this chip on her shoulder it was all a poor act.
She was scared, unsure of both others and herself. The city was a different than what she was used too and with no where to turn she didn't trust a soul.
"So are you this Luciano character I'm supposedly to meet?" The younger Pen spoke as if this was all an annoyance to her and that she rather be somewhere else.

Luciano sat there and listening to his younger self talk to Pen's younger self, "Yeah, I am- I used to be a Marine; I was honourably discharged, and now I'm a Journalist!" Luciano watched his younger self hold out his right hand to try and shake Pen's, "Since we're going to be working together, I'd like for us to be good friends!"
Luciano folded his arms and looked down at Pen for a moment; They became more than friends. They became a family.
Meanwhile Michelle sat in the group's hiding place watching the scene in front of them. She just smiled and kept looking on.

After the whole fiasco of the last time warp, Nari was relieved to sit and quietly observe what looked to be a younger Pen and Luciano with the group. The landing wasn't so bad here, either. She landed on her butt this time. She looked back and forth at her present teammates and their past selves to compare them. 'Huh. They seem quite different. Less scars, different hair, and their attitudes from the looks of it.'
