Memo let out Raye, his Typhlosion, to view Chispa. They were partners and friends after all.
"Ok girl...let's give it all we've got."
Chispa's own little tuft of hair at the base of her head rose a bit along with her tail as she sparked up.
"You guy's have the first move."

"Wait, so this is a contest battle?" Nick asked, eyeing Lily jump around cheerfully.

"Yeah." Rex answered Nick's question. "So be creative." Rex thought of a combo. These battles were not his strong suit. "Okay, Pansage, use Leech Seed all over the battlefield, then use Grass Knot to hide them!" Pansage sent out small seeds that were grabbed in mid-air by long pieces of grass, then hidden within the grass. "Not much, but it'll do for now."

"Well then... Lily? Uhh... Sweet Kiss and Charm?" Nick blinked. He had no idea how to go on with a contest battle.
The little Pichu leaped into the air and blew a kiss towards Memo's Pokemon, then shortly afterwards posing in rather endearing positions. Lily might not have been the best choice to do battle, but she was still mighty strong.

Memo's opponents used rather good combo moves and he was a bit taken back.
"Wow..."
He watched as the field was covered in traps and a Sweet Kiss was hurdling towards Chispa!
"Quick, Chispa! Use Happy Thunder!"
The Pichu's little fists were now crackling with energy as a Thunder Punch cloaked them. She intercepted the Sweet Kiss in front of her nullifying the Charm that was aimed at her. She then tickled the big heart with electric energy and made it pop into many small hearts!
"Now scatter them!"
Staying in the same spot Chispa then bashed away at the hearts making them fall to the ground where they activated some of the Leech Seeds and took them out.

"Pansage! Hit the small hearts with a Seed Bomb!" Pansage threw several explosive seeds. The seeds hit some of the hearts, the two attacks collided to conjure up pink explosions.

"Lily, Volt Tackle!" Nick ordered.
The Pichu started dashing through the hearts before electricity crackled through her body and she became pure electric energy, absorbing the hearts in to create a pink ball of electricity. Lily then hurled herself at Chispa, trying to land a hit on her.

"Hehe. Bad move."
Memo and Chispa watched as Pansage countered and Lily came in for a devastating attack, but what Nick and Lily forgot was that the area was still infested with Leech seed traps that would've surely ensnared the Pichu.
"Chispa use your acrobatics to get across the field and near Pansage!"
She struck the ground with her electrified fists and made pieces of earth break off! Once they were in the air she jumped on them with blinding speed to make her way to the monkey successfully going in for the attack while dodging!
"You two have to work together! Hehe!"

"Pansage, grab Chispa with a Vine Whip!" He needed to get Chispa stopped in it's tracks. "Nick, watch out for the Leech Seed!" But he knew it was too late.

Several of the seeds had exploded around Lily, but she shrugged off the pain without a problem. "Alright, Lily. Let's even the field. Pain Split!" Nick ordered. This was one of her unique moves that no other Pichu knew how to use. It confused Nick as to how she knew it, but he wasn't one to argue with a good thing.
Chispa would suddenly find itself loosing health while Lily was reinvigorated.

As Chispa watched vines shoot out at her in mid air she let her electrified fists spark up as she spun! She had latched onto the vines and began reeling in the little monkey with her super spin that was juiced up from her precise shocks to her own body!
"Chispa!"
As she spun with the vines she winced a bit and slowed down feeling a pain all around her!
"Launch Pansage into Lily! Now!"
The spiining mouse let the vines loose and if all went as planned the opponents would crash into each other.
"Pichu!"
Chispa let out a battle cry as she landed in the spot where Pansage once stood.

Pansage flailed into the air as it flew towards Lily. "Ergh...." Rex grunted. "Throw another Seed Bomb at Chispa!" He was getting desperate. "Nick, we need a plan!"

"Intercept!"
Her fists were still crackling with energy as she yelled out again and raised her hands. As the bomb came in she punched at them to send it back. She aimed it to when it exploded it would force both pokemon into an area that may have still had Leech Seeds.

Pansage fell into a large patch of Leech Seed, instantly being ensnared. "Pansage!" Rex gasped. He knew he only had one hope. "Pansage! Absorb some sunlight!"
