When Clint said that Loki didn't need magic to cause chaos the god gave a surprised almost appalled look. "Me? Cause chaos where ever did you get that idea?" Loki questioned still playing innocent. At least he was until Fenrir spoke up accusing the Archer of playing pranks as well. At that point the god gave a triumphant mischievous look at the Archer. "Ideas I am sure that you and tony gave him with your pranks against each other." Loki argued. He didn't say that Fenrir couldn't have gotten it from him because he had been gone for so many months. Looking to Thor as the man laughed Loki grinned. "Of course I'm sure his uncle had some part in it as well."

Clint frowned at Loki, but couldn’t argue too much. Fenrir may have picked up a thing or two from him, but Clint was still convinced it was partially genetic. Loki’s tendency for masterminding pranks and jokes had to have been passed down to make Fenrir as interested in this. Thor paused in his laughter as Loki’s attention turned towards him. “I did nothing of the sort brother!” he proclaimed. Of course Thor almost always found pranks humorous, even when they were on him. Volstagg leaned forward, looking at Fenrir. "One day, when you visit Asgard again, I will show you where your mother played pranks on your uncle.” He promised with a conspiratorial grin. As one of Thor’s oldest friends, the man had been witness to many of the pranks done by the brothers.

Loki smirked when Clint couldn't argue that fenri probably picked some things up when the Archer and tony had their own pranking wars. When Thor protested Loki's tease that he had had some hand in Fenrir's learning of pranks the god merely raised an eyebrow in mock disbelief. It was when Volstagg spoke up promising Fenrir that the next time he visited Asgard that he would show Fenrir where Loki had played pranks on Thor that had the dark haired god giving pause. Asgard seemed such a distant thing with his ban until Thanos has been vanquished from his mind, he felt the pang of loss at that thought but burried it down. Just because he couldn't go to Asgard didn't mean his son couldn't. "Perhaps if you ask your uncle very nicely and he agrees not to leave you alone on Asgard you can go up with him the next time he goes. Then you can see what Volstagg is talking about. And see your brother and grandmother." Loki chimed in with a smile at his son.

Fenrir was smiling at Volstagg’s offer, seeming to be considering a question. But when Loki spoke about sending him alone, the boy instantly hunched in on himself. “I can wait.” He said firmly, a small hint of fear tinging his voice, though he was clearly trying to hide it. He wanted to go to Asgard, to see it again, but he didn’t want to go without Loki. Didn’t want to be separated from him again, even if Thor was around to keep an eye on him. He couldn’t remember his time imprisoned, but he remembered vaguely the fear when he was first pulled away from Loki. The lonliness. And then with Loki having disappeared here, even though he’d been with Tony and the Avengers, Fenrir wasn’t interested in separating from his mother like that any time soon.

Loki grew concerned almsot immediately when Fenrir almost denied the offer to go to Asgard and hunched in on himself. He was even more concerned when the boy had bits of fear tinging his voice. Without any hesitation Loki pulled Fenrir into his lap and held him close. "What is it that frightens you my son?" Loki questioned softly as he pet the boys hair to soothe him. He didn't recall Asgard being overly cruel to the boy even as a wolf during their time there. And Fenrir almost never turned down seeing his siblings or grandmother.

Fenrir didn't fight Loki as the god shifted him, just leaning against Loki when he was settled. Keeping his eyes lowered, he didn't look at anyone as he was questioned. After a pause, he slowly spoke up. "I don't want to be taken away again." He admitted. "No one can get me here." The other Asgardians shifted uncomfortably at the admission, Thor even managing a look of guilt and anger, but they remained silent. "When people get taken away here, everyone fights to get them back. Like when those people took you. They couldn't keep me....I don't want to be alone again."

Loki felt even more worried when Fenrir merely rested against him with his eyes downcast and not looking to anyone. When the boy admitted that he didn't want to be taken away again Loki felt his guilt whell up to new heights. He had let his son down so much and it was never more clear than in that moment. "Fenrir, no one will ever take you away again. On Asgard it was by Odin's orders due to a false prophecy, your grandmother rules now and after he your uncle will rule. Neither of them would ever take you away from me or your family. Plus everyone here loves you, if you were ever taken away it wouldn't matter what realm you were on, we would all fight till we had you back. You know I would destroy whoever took you from me again and I have no doubt Tony would level whole realms." Loki promised his son looking around the room for confirmation. "You'll never be alone again, even if you want to." he continued to promise.

Fenrir hid his face against Loki’s chest as the god spoke, hand clutching his tunic loosely. The reassurance offered from Loki, had many of the others nodding in agreement. They would fight for Fenrir and keep him safe, even on Asgard. Thor leaned forward slightly, looking at Fenrir seriously. “I will never send you away Fenrir, nor will I allow anyone else to try such things.” He promised. Fenrir looked around at everyone then, judging their reactions and responses silently. Finding some comfort in what he saw, he relaxed slowly in Loki’s arms. “I believe you.” He said quietly, speaking to everyone. Scratching his nose, he shifted uncomfortably, resting his head against Loki again. “I still think I can wait until you can come with me though.” He added, less fear in his words this time. Even if he believed Loki and the others in their willingness to protect him, he still wanted the reassurance of Loki’s prescence.

Loki pet and tried to soothe his son when the boy hid while he talked. When Thor spoke promising that he would never send Fenrir away or allow anyone else to look smiled at his brother in thanks. It relieved him to hear it as much as he was sure it was a relief to Fenrir. Fenrir finally relaxing and stating that he believed everyone had Loki hugging the boy again. "You know it could be a very long time before I am allowed back to Asgard." Loki reminded his son when the boy said he would wait for his mother to come with him.

Fenrir gave a small nod to the question. “I know…but that’s okay. I’ll stay with you.” He responded slowly. “This is home now. And if they want, grandmother and Sleipnir can come visit us here. Like Hela and Jormungandr.” He said lightly. Thor sighed, across the table, leaning back in his chair with a look of disappointment, though he didn’t speak up. It was sad to see his brother and nephew seeming to move beyond Asgard and push it aside. He understood of course, but he still wish they weren’t having to do such things.

Loki nodded when Fenrir said that he understood that it could be a long time before Loki returned to Asgard and that he would stay with his mother. "If that is what you wish, and yes your siblings and grandmother can come visit us. Plus we have the bowl to talk to her." Loki stated. He too felt a bit disappointed that Fenrir would give up going to visit his siblings and grandmother until Loki was able but he wasn't going to make his son do anything he didn't want to. His son was right however, home was where they were now. Asgard would probably never be home again, there was the small chance it could be but that wouldn't be for a long time if it did happen. Hugging his son tightly once more he put him back in his seat. "Finish your dinner."

Fenrir stayed cuddled close until Loki began to shift with the clear intention of moving him. Settling in his seat again, he began to carefully eat once more, not seeming to notice or mind the lingering looks of the rest of the people at the table. Steve cleared his throat then, shaking his head. “So I have to ask Loki,” he started, clearly intent on changing the subject and moving on. “Have you and Tony discussed names at all? Curious to know who the newest members of the family will be.” He sent a glance towards Clint and Natasha with a slightly put out look. “Since these two are so set on keeping everything a secret for as long as possible, I can’t ask them.”

Loki returned to eating his meal too until Steve said he had something to ask him. Looking up to the blond with a curious look he tilted his head in an indication to go ahead and ask. At the question of names the god smiled gently. The gentle smile turned to a fuller one when Steve continued to say that he wanted to know who the newest members of the family would be. It was still a wonderful thing to hear that he and his children were part of a family. He chuckled at Clint and Natasha's secrecy over their child since he at least knew the gender now. "We did start to discuss names but we've only gotten the middle names so far. Kenna for the girl and Yinsen for the boy, but we still need first names." Loki confessed. "Though I am sure we won't be able to talk about those until Tony is done with his project. Though they will take his last name." he continued.

Bruce looked over quickly at the mention of Yinsen, blinking at the god in surprise, but not saying anything. He wasn’t sure how quickly the others would pick up on that name, and if they didn’t know, it wasn’t his place to explain. Steve leaned forward slightly, smiling at the information. "Kenna and Yinsen….interesting name choices. Have you looked at any more? Carol and Charles are good names.” He said quickly, earning a groan and muttered comment about 'old names' from Sam and an eyeroll form Bucky as the assassin leaned further back in his seat, neither man seeming to be amused by Steve sudden choice of topic. Thor seemed to pick up on the idea quickly however, nodding. “Good names, but Astrid and Hakon are good Asgardian names. Strong names for strong children.” He rumbled, making Steve frown slightly, nose wrinkling.

Natasha like Bruce looked up at the name Yinsen surprised by the fact that it would be the middle name of one of Loki and Tony's children. She wondered if Tony had suggested it or if Loki had either way though it made her smile gently to know that Tony was in some form honoring the man that had helped change his life. Loki blinked at the name suggestions given to him by both Steve and Thor. He wasn't sure how he felt about Hakon or Carol and while Astrid was nice it didn't feel right to him. "I don't think I'll name the boy Charles I think it would be quite confusing with the Proffesor around." Loki offered to Steve. "Besides I think I am going to wait for Tony to talk about finishing the names of the babies. Afterall its the first time..." Loki cut his speech off. He had been going to say that it was the first time a father had been around or wanted to name their children. Then he remember Fenrir was right beside him and didn't want to spoil the boy's memories of his father. "I just hope Tony finishes his project before the babies decide to come with Bruce's new estimates." Loki stated thought that merely reminded him of how much there was to do to prepare for the babies.
