Bleh, I just take pride in that I know all the workings of all my technology. It's all mapped out, so I know what it's capable of.
I'm not a fan of directed energy weapons. Since most of them rely on lasers in some form or another.

Raven Yun Err... What the hell is this place? What tournament? I'm confused. Ravey-poo! heart heart heart heart heart It's me, Gelly! ^_^ You missed the boat for FFA and O/M brackets though. Not like it matters, the same damn crew is signing up for the other brackets too. OMFG GEL! :O I did? Damn. Ah well. I'll just go with whatever bracket Clash throws me in. Hehe. Extra small popcorn. Its more like popcorn so small you can't even see it, let alone eat it, considering its Ertai's wang.

I need to write up my massive, oversized gauss projector. A sniper rifle that would put down a small navy vessel.

You know, I thought Ertai's Planar attacks were rather unique, he described them so well. But this does not put aside the fact that he's an a** bag.

You can't even duel with Ertai unless you've taken Theoretical Horsecrap 101 in the School of Total Bull. >O

And I think Astrophysics, and one of these astronomy; astrology, things.

Nihilistic_Impact I've never met the standard D&D wizard who is strong magically but weak physically. Nascen and Sey. That's all I've ever seen, only Nascen was a counter-mage not mage, and Sey's more of a cleric minus the combat capabilities. So, if you don't count them because of those facts, yeah, none. And now I must backread.

They're not unique at all, it's just that while most people just perform the attack and post the beginning and results, he writes five paragraphs of half-understood theoretical physics then devotes four or five words to the results.

That's because you don't see what he's making in his posts, all you see is theoretical bull s**t, which really isn't I believe. Whether it is or isn't, His posts are detailed in such a way that it sounds, and appears believable, and that's what I like a believable attack. Just because you're below the rest of the human race doesn't mean you can blast some attack when you pull some gad damn mountain out of your a**..... Mind the spell errors, I don't feel like putting it through word.

That's not it at all. I post only things directly affecting an opponent, things likely to directly affect an opponent, and anything else I feel my opponent should know. I don't trouble people with deep mechanics unless it's necessary, it kills the mood on both sides and takes all the fun out of it, as well as cluttering posts with useless fluff and killing the style and the flow alike. Additionally, the larger someone's average post, the greater the chance of them making spelling and grammar mistakes. I recall once seeing someone who described his character right down to little pieces of metal on the belt - only he consistently spelled "millimeters" wrong while doing so.
The problem with Ertai's post is that the vast majority of opponents don't care which scientific theorem he's pumping his energy through nor do they care which alternate plane he's doing it on. And then they have a hard time finding the parts of Ertai's post that actually affect them. When I use Gel's pocket dimension, I only describe it enough to make clear that it's not a standard voidal dimension and people can't pull that void magic s**t on it, as well as stating what the enemy character would see and feel - I don't describe all the stuff in it or the behind-the-scenes s**t.
And, no, shoving the spent casings of pure energy into a pocket dimension to recycle them into infinite energy which he then pulls through three universes for the purpose of lighting a candle doesn't usually contribute to making a post believable.

And, no, shoving the spent casings of pure energy into a pocket dimension to recycle them into infinite energy which he then pulls through three universes for the purpose of lighting a candle doesn't usually contribute to making a post believable. That's because you're too lazy to read his post and figure out what is affecting the character in which he intends to affect, if you paid attention what he's writing instead of floating off into never land about how you're going to kick his a** then maybe you'll be able to understand what he is saying. There is a difference in opinion; A detailed post does contribute to the believable idea of what he is doing. I mean if he just swiped his or in a horizontal fashion it wouldn't make much sense if a black hole suddenly appeared without some explanation of how he did it so quickly. To maintain his belief that he is above all of us he has to be more detailed in what he does. Another thing you're wrong in, being detailed does not mean you're going to make more grammar mistakes because that depends on the person who writes it, just because you make grammar mistakes and that one douche bag you were talking about makes mistakes doesn't mean that other people do. Who gives a s**t if he thinks he's all big and mighty it doesn't make a lick of difference when you finally fight him yourself, so stop bitchin' and role play, it doesn't matter, and it never did.

John isn't minor, ha. Just let him get started.
Now to check if Tacitus has posted yet. Again. I want to see how he reacts to big ol' tornado descending from the heavens.
