Poor baby Jasper and Izzy had to goto the vet today and get meds. Jasper had to get a shot and he screamed... He cried when they were taking his temp too. Poor little guy is running a fever.

My mom just talked to me today
and asked "If the little kitten you want
is injured and infected, and has a chance
of dying, do you still want him?"
It made me sad...that she would even ask.
I mean, I would rather make it happy then
let it die in a kennel at the shelter, or with
some b***h that would let her dog eat it,
or to let them euthanize it.

Right now Jasper is sleeping. I gotta pull an all nighter and keep an eye on him... gotta call the vet first thing tomorrow morning if he's not doing any better. I hope the meds kick in and bring his fever down.
If I had the choice on weather to take the kitty or not I would probably do the same thing as you. I would rather him finish off life in a loving caring home. Also being outta the kennel and with a loving family can sometimes help an animal pull through all kinds of stuff. I had a ferret that was dropped off at the pet store with adrenal disease. She had lost her hair and wasn't expected to live more than maybe a month. I took her in and cared for her. All her fur grew back and her adrenal disease went into remission for a few years. The vet as no idea why. Ferrets don't go into remission from adrenal disease, the vet was amazed by her lol.

I am glad someone supports the idea.
All my friends keep saying that it sounds
cruel to take it in and then have that all taken
away.
But I mean...if it were me, all alone...and not well
cared for ((because I know what the animals are
treated like in the shelter))...I would want decent meals,
a nice soft bed, a place to potty that I would not have to
share with 5 other cats, love....I mean, a chance to live.

I am going to. Me and mom are getting its
own little box for my room, a cute little
kitty castle and a box line with soft blankets,
but deep enough it can't get out in the middle of the night.

My two ferrets run through out my room. I have a cage around my bed so they can't get stuck in any part of the bed. I taped over all the electrical sockets and put a sheet of plexi glass over my book case so they couldn't get in there. When I just had Izzy I didn't cage off my bed because she would sleep with me. She normally slept with Dipstick in a pile so I had to let her sleep on me.
