@Aly: Trade ya talents. I can't sound like a fluent speaker, don't work with spanish-only employees..it all works against me and she wants me to sound perfect.

No dinero. No tengo dinero. Mi tia vive en Washington, y quiro que ir a Sakura-Con. ~Prefieres El avion?~
You wanted to learn spanish..supposedly this is how you learn. I do think my teacher forgot there's different methods of teaching however, and most of us are inclined to watch squirrels rather then attempt to translate bits and pieces of sentences.

Oh, ya veo; bendito [I bet you don't know that word xD], pobre X. ~Si, yo uso "avión," pero gracias por enseñarme "aviador." biggrin ~
*gasps* I love squirrels! One summer, after the gym, I'd go to the park and hang out with the squirrels. Then one day, my Pilates instructor told us, "People who watch squirrels suffer from depression." Or something like that and I stopped hanging out with squirrels. sweatdrop

Some students usually just sit at desks and chatter like squirrels while she's trying to teach. The more homework assigned, the more chatter she heard. -.-

Such disrespect those students show. *waves index finger* If I get bored in class, I just start scribbling in the back of my notebook.

You know in Mexico, they call all the Spanish speaking in America "le reconquista"? If you dont know what i mean, think back to history class when you learned about the 1840's (if you did)

So, every non-Hispanic/Latino/Spaniard American that speaks Spanish is a "reconquista" in Mexican terms? Am I understanding this correctly? :]

reconquista or reconquest, the Spanish and Mexicans see it as they were the first to find the new world they have the right to it.However the last piece of Mexican land in the Americas was lost in the 1840's in the Mexican American war. The Spanish see, that,as we are teaching there language that they are reconquering the Americas."Screw you Handy Mandy and Dora you wont get the best of me!(I think)"
