Shadow drank from his glass and smoked his cig. He was calm for once, he found it strange. He hadn't been calm while alone for a long time now. There was nothing strange in the air, no bad feeling or loud noise. Shadow was glad that everythign had settled down for now at least. He would take full advantage of this calm and relax a little.

"Morning Malice." he said with a smile as he reached down to scratch her head. "How are you today?" he asked. Shadow found it a little strange that Malice was acting the way she was but paid it little attention. The day seemed so calm and quiet that he didn't want to try and figure much out. He just wanted to relax and enjoy the company of whoever was around him at the time.

Shadow called for some blood. A servant quickly delivered it shortly after the call. Shadow was thinking about timing them to see how long it took them. "I think today is a nice day... well nice night. Everything seems calm and quiet. Can't you feel it? The silence, the calm?" he said with a smile. He found this sort of air very relaxing. He leaned down a bit and stroked Malice's fur. "It is good that you are well. Have you eaten yet?" he said.

"I never let my gaurd down and this is the calm before the storm. I have learned to enjoy the calm while I can. The enemy is getting close now, my scouts tell me so much but let us leave that for now and enjoy the peace while it lasts." he said in a calm tone. He hadn't been this relaxed in months, not since the new guests started to arrive. He was getting use to them constantly comming and going now. "So, you want something made for you or would you prefer to hunt for something?" he asked. He was going to make sure that Malice was well fed. he knew what would happen if she didn't feed well and often.

"Very well then. I'll have one of the servant bring you something bloody and fleshy. Might as well give you both things, you might enjoy it." he said as he moved from stroking Malice to scratching her head. "I have to ask. Are you going to stay in your transformed state all the time?" he said.

"Well I shall be back in a minute Malice. I want to go an chek on Cassidy, she has been sleeping alot these past few days. I'm a little worried." he said as he stood and walked up to his room. He went into the room and over to his bed were Cassidy lay. "Cassidy, wake up." he said with a smile as he shook her but Cassidy didn't wake up. Shadows heart stopped as he continued to shake her. "Wake up... please wake up." he pleaded as he shook her but Cassidy remained motionless. Shadow could sense that Cassidy was still alive. He could sense something else though, something in her mind. It was an evil and daemonic presance. He could only assume who or what had done this. It had to be one of the beings from the rift that lead to the realm of Chaos. Tears filled his eye as he let out sorow filled vamperic roar. He felt as if a part of him had died. He didn't know what to do now. Shadow eventualy managed to stop himself from roaring and dressed Cassidy in what clothing he could find. He carried her out of his room and into his crypt. He lay her in one of the stone tombs and warded it so that no one could bother her until he found a way to stop it. He left the crypt, sealing it behind him while wiping away his tears. he went back into the dinning room and sat there with an empty feeling in his heart. "Why?" he asked himself in a wisper.

Alice yawned slightly as she walked down the stairs, heading toward the dinning room. She stretched slightly before walking through the doors to the dinning room. "Good Evening.........." she said softly with a smile. She then took her seat, thinking about what had happened the other day. For some reason she felt like she had seen a creature like that before but every time she tried to think about it her head started to hurt. It was like her mind and heart didn't want her to remember. She slowly placed a hand on her head as it started to hurt from thinking.

Shadow was lost in his own sorrow and pain. He didn't notice anything that was happening around him. A silent tear fell down his face as he tried to come to terms with what had happened today. He felt totaly empty right now and didn't care about anything else other than finding a way to fix what had happened. It seemed that everyone Shadow loves was destined to have something bad happen to them.
