Miriam The Bat XxCleaNessxX So many great edits in such a short time!
It seems I have more than just a sunburn. This morning, I found out that I also have blisters on my nose (which look a lot like liquid-y type pimples gonk ), and they've been irritating me all day long. Does anybody have any tips on how to take care of them, or any ideas of how much longer I'll have them? They're getting on my nerves so much... gonk I recently got sun poisoning from being left on my outcrop for several hours during my field work in Maine. Buy some of that green aloe after-sun gel, clean the baked area off, and put a thick layer of the gel on whenever you feel you need it. That stuff is wonderful (I just left it next to me whenever I was doing something and kept coating my burns every time it irritated me). Also, try to keep out of the sun for a while and when you have to go out, put a thick layer of the best sunscreen you have on it. Since it was really cold in Maine at the time, I wore jeans, a hoodie, and a bandana while I did the work. Because of that, I ended up with 2nd degree burns on my ears and the back of my hands that oozed all kinds of gross things after my skin cracked and opened. I'm never making THAT mistake again and am keeping a bottle of sunscreen in my bag at all times from now on, no matter how cold it is. *Takes your advice.* Thank you so much! I have the after-sun gel, and I'm going nuts looking for it. whee
Also, whoa, that sounds really gross and bad! And to think I was complaining about the blisters. After this day, I'm so putting on sunscreen at least 4-5 times per day while I'm at work, no matter how dull, or cold it is. xp

Cardi: I felt so bad as we were leaving though, because he had a sad look on his face to see everyone go. I wanted to run up and hug him, but the officers there had guns and such... not a good idea. Come on, you can do it!
Meri: Not yet... He's still being charged.
Miri: Thanks, and that sounds PAINFUL! I've always had bad luck with the sun, but not that bad. *hugs*
*dances* Two more days till AX!

My little brother went to the beach and got sunburned on his face. he's using the aloe-gel as well. He's beginning to peel now. it looks terrible. The funny part is he went to the beach with my mom's friend and her son, and i went to the same beach with my friends at the same time. I didnt see them though. and I was a smart cookie. even though it was overcast, i put sunblock on all over. So I was spared, but not my little brother. rolleyes

Aloe gel is great - my husband got burned so badly last summer that he blistered and turned purple, and it was a life saver.
I find that fresh aloe gel straight from the plant is much better than the stuff out of the bottle, by orders of magnitude. If you have the store bought gel, store it in the dark. Being exposed to light decreases its effectiveness.

I would ship some to everyone, because its starting to take over my backyard along with the Govi back there.. But I dont think it will ship well.
