Valery allowed Bec to guide her to the SIV teleporter, and she quickly vanished through.

Nick stepped through the telporter right after Valery, appearing at the peak of Twist Mountain seconds later.
"Alright, guys here's the mission. We need to do a little population control with the ice types, or Twist Mountain will be too overflown with ice before winter even starts. Knock out at least three of them and you're welcome to catch one or two, if you have a White Flute. Enjoy!" Nick grinned, taking a seat in the snow for a while, taking in the scenery.

Valery was afraid, the air around her was freezing and she had never been on a mountain before. She trembled in both fear and cold as she tried getting around. The blind girl absolutely refused to ask for help as she sniffed for a Pokemon's scent. Becquerel made sure to keep her away from cliffs, but felt useless in his master's plight against the cold.

Noticing Valery's shivering, Nick stood up and approached her with Zero in tow. "Are you alright, Val?" He felt guilty asking her, since she seemed very independent. Before the girl could answer, he reached into his bag and pulled out his towel, then wrapped it around her neck softly as a towel. "I... Yeah." He bit his lip, hoping not to get caned in the gut.

Valery was so distracted trying to smell out a Pokemon, she didn't notice Nick coming up behind her. The notion was sweet of him, and it helped with her shivering. Very grateful over Nick's action, Valery smiled and muttered a "Thank you." As she resumed her smelling. "You know, I was not expecting such a level of care between the members. Basic stuff, yes, but giving me your own scarf? Thats sweet. It borders on cute, actually." She teased him.

"First day and you're already flirting with me?" Nick smiled. The girl couldn't even see and she was livelier than most people in Aqua. "Wherever you came from, you must have had no men, to be flirting with me... Psh." Nick started to laugh.
"Croco?" Zero asked, staring at the blind girl before him.

Christian, who does not hear well in the snow, could not understand anything there were saying. He walked up to the other two and noticed that Valery was cold and Nick was helping. He said," Here, maybe some fire will help all of us. Flam, let's go!"
A Combusken appeared and started using Flamethrower into the sky. Christian knew that Flam won't get cold fast, as there was actually a living flame inside of its body.
He said," If you get tired, feel free to rest."

I fall out of a SIV portal and back into the kitchen. Nick and Valery are no where to be found. I pull out my TADs and send a message to Nick, asking of his whereabouts.

Valery chuckled; she had found a target. "Excuse me, I do believe you made the first gesture. And the nerve of you, to hit on a blind girl. Can't flirt with anyone who can see?" She continued to tease Nick before starting to walk away with Becquerel steering her through the dangerous cliffs. Within moments, she vanished into the snowfall.

"... That girl is crazy." Nick turned to Christian and warmed up against the fire. "She'll be fine, I know she will..." He said to himself. Suddenly, his TADS began to vibrate. He opened it and sent a response to DJ.
Twist Mountain on a training mission. Christian, Valery, and I are here, but she ran off into the snow. She'll be fine.

Christian gave a silent laugh to himself. Even though he hadn't heard the beginning of this, it was amusing. He remembered the days when past Aquans would flirt then fight. I guess nothings changed, he thought.
"Don't worry," Christian said." She has her Pokemon with her."

"I know... But that's exactly what I'm afraid of. She can smell and hear her way around, but she still needs her Poochyena to keep her away from cliffs..." Nick noted, rubbing his hands together for heat. "And on top of that, she only has two Pokemon... Good thing its mostly just Cubchoos running arou- Oh my God. We need to get to her right now." Nick suddenly realized what a terrible mistake it was to let Val go alone. He stood up and readied his Poke Balls.

"Okay?" said Christian quizzically. "Flam, thank you for warming us up. You may stop now."
The fiery Pokemon ceased blowing flames in the air and was returned to its Pokeball for a rest.
Not knowing what Nick realized, he got ready as well.

"Christian, where there are Cubchoos, there are Beartics..." Nick blinked, horrified. "She is NOT ready for one of those, specially one angry mama bear that just saw a stranger beat up her cubs..." He spat out.
