Arekku entered the main room, wondering where Savage, his Pansage, had gotten off to this time, "Sava- Er! New member?" The brunette tilted his head seeing the girl swinging her cane wildly, "Hello~!" He called, waving, unaware of about the girl's blindness.

"I just need to get used to its smell... And so does Becquerel." Valery turned to face Maddy. Her little Poochyena barked, it was a little alarmed at Maddy's form. "Hush, you. Don't be rude." She tapped Bec with her cane. Although she could smell that the girl before was not 'normal', Val did not yet know what her condition was.
Valery turned to the source of the friendly welcome and smiled. "Why hello to you too." She decided it was time to let go of Bec's leash. On her knees, Val unhooked his leash and quickly stashed it. The freed Poochyena roamed the area, smelling everything and trying to get acquainted with its new surroundings. "Catching that Blitzle was quite the mission, Miss Maddy. Little Bec here isn't big on battling." Val noted before turning back to her.

"Haha, I figured it would be a nice easy challenge for your first mission. And having a variety of types in your party just makes things easier." Maddy explained, watching Valery's Poochyena wander around the room.
"So how are you liking it here so far?" She asked, conjuring up a small purple fireball and playing with it by passing it between her hands.
"By the way... Hello, Arekku." She finally remembered to greet the boy who had just come in.

"Ah, yes you're right... By the way, the bike you gave me was a very nice gesture but I really cannot use it. The TADS is also of very little use to me. I mean, just look at my mission report..." Valery reached into her pocket and pulled out her TADS. "Ah! Maddy! I didn't see you up there, that form of yours is getting to be a common sight around here. I suppose I should have known this lovely lady wasn't talking to herself." He chuckled when a loud bang came from the kitchen, "That'd be Savage!! Be back in a minute!" He yelled running off after the Pokemon.

"Hmmm... Maybe we can get Ginji to tweak your TADS a little so it's more useful to you. Don't worry about the fire, it's just me." She said, watching as Arekku ran off to the kitchen.

"Who is Ginji?" Valery asked, sniffing at the TADS. It smelled like plastic, something Bec would no doubt enjoy chewing on if it was never upgraded to her needs. The fire near her was making her a bit nervous, for it was fire that had blinded her many years ago. A Pansear had accidentally blinded her when she was visiting the Striation Cafe with her parents. Sensing her discomfort, Bec ran his master's aid and began barking at Maddy.

"Ginji is the co-leader of the team. He's good with electronics stuff." Maddy told Valery.
Sensing her discomfort, she closed her hand on the ball of fire and it disappeared in a wisp of black smoke. She took out her TADS to check the time.
"I gotta be somewhere. Hopefully I'll see you later on tonight! Bye!" With that, Maddy disappeared.

Another bunch of loud bangs signaled that the Pansage was running away now, and as if to confirm it, "Hey! Wait!!" Arekku's distant voice could be heard calling out.
"Glint Psychic!" He yelled, tossing his Froslass' Pokeball, the Pokemon came out and halted the Pansage's path of destruction, holding him still in the air. The man sighed, "Dude, really? It's just a vitamin. Now, either open your mouth or I'll have Glint do it..." The Pansage unwillingly opened his mouth into which Arekku tossed the small pill. "Yeah, I don't trust your mouth around my fingers, I still have nightmares about last time."
After a few moments he returned the Pansage and walked back with Glint floating closely behind him. "So, she left then? Eh, you get used to it." He shrugged, approaching the girl with a smile, "Hello, I'm Arekku Negi, and you are?" He stuck his hand out to shake, still not even sensing there was something different about the girl.

Val's hands were curled around her cane, which was firmly planted on the floor. "Valery Sinclair." She replied without moving her arms. Her sunglasses were a little low on her nose now, revealing their dead, empty stare. Breaking the stillness of her arms, Valery pushed them back up her nose to cover her eyes completely again. "Pleasure to meet you!" The girl grinned as Becquerel sniffed at Arekku's feet.

"No no~! The pleasure is mine!" He giggled again, noticing the blank stare. He couldn't help but stare for a moment, "Uhm... Say, I, er, don't mean to offend you, but, er, well, may I ask you a question?" He asked, suddenly very nervous about asking her if she was truly blind.

Valery raised an eyebrow. His scent was a little sweatier, indicating he was nervous. "What is it?" She asked, her hands still fixated on the cane. "If you're going to ask me out, I'm flattered but no." Val decided to tease him, chuckling under hear breath.
The Poochyena was slightly alarmed at the ghost trying to touch it, but realized it meant no harm within seconds. He sniffed at the Froslass and barked happily as it felt the cold air she expelled.

Arekku's face went a priceless shade of bright red, "I-I- Oh you~!" The brunette launched into a fit of laughter for a few seconds, causing him to ease up a lot. "Ahaa-haa, oh.. Hehe, no, that wasn't my question at all. I was wondering if you were, ah, blind.." He asked, slowly waving his hand back and forth, wondering if he'd get a reaction. "I hope you're not offended! I've just never met a blind person, yanno?"
Glint made a quick little spin, releasing a thin blast of chilled air which contained small glitter specks that caught in the light and showed brilliantly.

"Yes, I am blind. I think it's pretty obvious, what with my sunglasses, cane, seeing-eye Poochyena, harness, and leash..." Valery frowned a little. She was not offended, just a little confused as to how someone who could see could not detect she couldn't. Even a blind person could detect another blind person... "Don't treat me any different. After all, I managed to catch the Pokemon requested and find my way here." She added, leaning on her cane now.
Poochyena panted happily, tying to eat all of the falling crystals as it ran around in puppy-like glee.

"Er, I'm sorry, As I said, I've never actually seen a blind person, I've only heard of someone being blind, and I know what it means. It think it's really awesome you're here at Team Aqua~!" He chuckled and looked over to see the happy Pokemon. "Quite the little energy ball you got there." He said, talking about the Poochyena, trying to change the subject, noticing the her getting irritated.
"Lass!" Glint called out in enjoyment, watching the cute little scene unfold.
