"I could ask the same." Sol spoke up, walking into the area himself. Amaranth and Ceramew kept nearby. "Myself, I tend to take equal parts working and lax."

Sub's explanation put him at ease, and that Eve thought he was okay was even better. "That's a load off my mind," he said. "I rather wonder if that was a private warehouse we raided. I just can't see the need for so many rocks in one place, and that guard was very unprofessional for falling for Eve's ruse. Maybe a rent-a-cop? At any rate, I wouldn't doubt there were cameras around to catch at least some of us."

A loud resounding crash echoed throughout the base followed by a small explosion. Swearing could be heard along with some manual tools at work. Another loud crash echoed, this time without an explosion. Rushing into tge room, Reno could be seen wearing a mechanic's outfit with burn marks on it and soot on his face and hands. "I may 'ave just wasted a ton of the fireworks and some metal, but I 'ave created a betta 'overboard." Throwing his invention out to float above the ground, one could see twin firework rockets mounted to the sides of the hoverboard, held together by duct tape and shoddy welding. "It may possibly kill me until I learn ta weld but regardless, I now 'ave turbo on this thing."

RC chuckles. "It nice to catch one before the next wave of crazy hits." he says.

"Is that even safe?" Eve asked, glancing up at Sol, "Letting Ceramew hold one, considering what these things can do? I mean, Art got sick just after a few seconds....."

"She's held it on occasion since the events that happened. As for the non-tainted bit, I'm not so certain. As we've seen, one can become used to the meteorite. Though residual chi's a factor, it may only be a dampening at best." Sol said. "Don't think I haven't been keeping an eye out for any oddities, especially after the other meteorites we've recovered."

Needless to say, Ceramew kinda froze. "That's the thing, I dun really know for sure. But I haven't felt too odd yet, so it hasn't bothered me too much."

Hearing Eve's last comment, Reno quirked an eyebrow. "I could be a subject to it if we need ta check." he offered, knowing he truly wouldn't do anything to her.

"Don't tempt me," Eve said, giving Sol a quick wink before turning her attention to Reno, "Actually, I've already got my test subject...sort've. Ship's already admitted to having been a little distracted by me. And I'm sure with a little work I could do the same to Sol over here." Clearly, the girl was highly confident in her skills.



"You know, you really shouldn't tease your daughter like that, Turkey-butt," Night said, appearing behind Sol and throwing her arms over his shoulders, "Or should I say, Grandpa Turkey."
