Do I not sleep here? Oh please don't tell me I sleep with that oversexed figure skater girl. I wish Hart was here. He's the only nice guy at this freaking school.

"Finally, Mary was useful for something."
Hartley and Evan walk into the boy's dorm room commons. Evan cocks an eyebrow at Powell.
"Ye weren't kiddin' 'bout him bein' all jacked, Piper."
"Told you so. He says he's from another dimension. Otherdimensional Chris, this is Evan McCullough. He's familiar with dimension hopping."
"Aye."
"And he's Scottish."
"Aye ag'in."
"So if you don't have a damn clue what he's saying, that's the excuse."
"Y'mind we get down t'business? I've things t'do. 'S about time fer the cheerleading squad t' head t' the showers."
Hartley rolled his eyes.
"Not something ye'd appreciate, ya wee fairy, but some of us fellows need to get our entertainment somewheres."
"The point is, Evan here has access to different dimensions. So maybe he can help you find your way home."
"Fer a price, a'course."

"Ya wanna know what happened t'the last guy t'make a Highlander joke at me, ya Mick-"
"Easy, Evan."
Hartley held Evan back as the Scot sneered at Powell.
"Remember what we discussed."
Evan calmed down and looked Powell over with a smirk.
"I cannae guarantee anythin', but at least fer th' first step, there ain't no real risk."
Evan held up a pocket mirror.
"Cos all y'gottae do is look."

Chris Powell:
*slowly stands up*
Were you about to threaten me, little boy? I've seen things that would make you pee your Pampers!
*snatches the mirror from Evan and looks*
Hart...you're cool. I dunno bout your friend tho.

"Right. Cool."
Hartley didn't mention to Chris how, if this worked, Hero High Chris was going to owe his biggest rival a HUGE favor. Which Hart looked forward to, even as he packed down the strangest twinge of guilt.
Evan rolled his eyes and took back the mirror.
"I said LOOK, I didnnae say TOUCH, y'daft knob. Y'don't have th' knack."
He turned the small glass to and fro, and as he did, the scene on it shifted like a TV changing channels.
"If somethin' looks familiar, say when."

Theo Altman "Babe, you make it sound like I forced you to abort your baby or something. I didn't even know that was going on. I came in, see you stuck in a ..thing, and I scooped you up to take you off to help me with math. Should I eavesdrop before I approach you or something?" Teddy crosses his arms over his chest, arching an eyebrow incredulously. Billy sighs.
"Teddy, Cassie was right there before you brought me back to the dorms, asking me for help. You carted me off after she asked. I...I'm not asked for help very often."
He shrugs and stuffs his hands in his pockets, looking pitiful.
"I usually screw my spells up. I'm a nerd, hell even you called me that. It was just nice being asked to help like that. I wanted to help."
He shrugs.
"Oh well. Too late now."

The scene on the mirror froze and Evan turned it so he and Hartley could have a look inside.
"Tha's your dimension? A book store?"
"Am I in there? Let me see."
Hartley turned the glass to himself, but didn't see anything he recognized.
"Well, beggars cannae be choosers, I s'pose."
Evan put the mirror in his pocket. Hartley gave him a quizzical look.
"What, so that's it?"
"Patience, Piper. Ya think a big lug like him's gonna fit in a pocket mirror? Nae, if this Alice wants t' go through th' Looking Glass, we're gonna have to get one t'size. An' I have the perfect one in mind..."
Evan pulls a brochure for the Midvale Fine Arts Museum out of his pocket and unrolled it to an Elizabethan Exhibit. In the middle of the room was a giant floor-length mirror.
"So ye wannae go home, eh? Then we need tae get that."

"Really? Interesting...never been to a movie theater built in such an unusual manner...hmmm, I might just go on curiousity alone...but if you want to go there to, we can go..."
His glasses completely fogged over once the subject of making out was even broached in such a rather awkward way, in a half example, half offer sort of way. And indeed, it brought the conversation to a rather abrupt halt.
"W-well, I...er...I..."
Thankfully the subject was shoved aside and replaced with the topical choice of movie genre and what to see. He nodded, adjusting his glasses while rubbing them clear with a thumb, chuckling at her crack about her life.
"I'm sure you have enough material that could make a studio a lot of money...but then, anyone at this school probably could too..."
He put his glasses back on, smiling lightly at her.
"Yes...To The Bat Cave!...That felt oddly familiar, saying it like that..."
He hefted his backpack again as he walked beside her, heading back towards town, heading for the aforementioned movie theater...whether they'll see a movie they'll actually sit down and focus on? Chances don't seem very likely...

The bookstore is IN my dimension. Sheesh.
*looks at the exhibit*
I don't have much cash. How much does it cost to go to the museum?

"Well, you can be my hero and help me with math?" Teddy wraps his arms around Billy from behind, following the path of his own arms into his pockets. He pulled his hands out and wrapped his own around them, fingers interlocking as he held him tight. "I'm sorry babe...I didn't know. Plus, we'll have plenty of time to be heroes in the future." He kissed Billy's cheek and slowly swayed back and forth with him in his arms.

"Ye daft knave. We ain't gonna do this in the museum. We're gonna bring the mirror here."
Evan grinned, revealing a truly stereotypical set of Scottish teeth.
"Yeah, there's no way that the museum guards are going to listen to us walk up and ask if we can just borrow their million-dollar mirror for a little bit so you can go back to your home dimension."
Hartley nodded, and held back a smile.
"So, we'll have to do this a different way."
