"Oh? You don't?" Marik walked closer to Yuugi, reaching out a finger to touch the smaller boy's face. He trailed his index finger slowly up Yuugi's chin to his cheek, following the line of blood that had found its way down. With a smirk, he lifted the now bloody finger up to what light there was so that he could see it, his head cocking slightly to one side as he examined it. It was as if he found it to be interesting.
"I haven't killed you yet, despite the many opportunities and tempations.... wasn't that civil?" He momentarily broke eye-contact with the blood to look back down at Yuugi, expression now questioning. "You're still in one piece, and so are they. I've actually been on my best behavior today... why, I think I might even deserve a prize..." Slowly, very slowly, and with both eyes still on Yuugi, Marik raised his finger up to his mouth and brought his tongue out to lick off the blood. At the taste of it, his eyes seemed to light up, and if you listened you could practically hear him purr. "Mmm, what do you think... Yuugi?" His tone was low, pleasured. He came closer, bending over a little to place his face directly in front of Yuugi's, making sure that their gazes locked. Still, he saw no threat from the other two in the room. "Will you be the one to give me what I want after all, pet? Something shiny, something gold?" He chuckled darkly, eyelids lowering over darkened eyes. "Something new, something old..."
"Y-Yuu..." Jou was watching Yuugi fearfully, still kneeling at Bakura's side. He hadn't gotten any response from the thief yet, and it was worrying him; and now there was Yuugi, stuck between a rock and a hard place. Or, to be more specific, a wall and a psychopath. Oh, and the worst part?
Jou couldn't do anything to help either of them, and he knew it. It was a horrible feeling.

Yuugi took a step back away from Marik as he walked closer. "Why would I give them to you?" he asked almost daringly. He still acted as though he were still restrained by the shadows around his wrists, his eyes narrowing ever so slightly. His eyes turned towards the two on the floor for a second before looking back at Marik.

Still shaking, Bakura's chest started to heave heavily and a single tear drop splashed onto the floor. Suddenly the theif sprung up from his spot on the floor and let out a rather bloodthirsty yell as he charged at Marik.
((Short but tis all I could think of, please forgive me ;-; ))

"Because I have your's and your friends' lives in my hands. Like delicate butterflies you are, all of you... oh, but especially you." Again he reached out to trail a finger down Yuugi's cheek, not for the blood now but just because he could. That, and he liked to see the boy tremble when he got too close. True, Yuugi was acting tough now, but Marik felt that that annoying habit could be broken easily enough, given enough time. "Skin that bruises so easily... wings so easily broken..."
Then suddenly, a sound that shouldn't have been there. Someone was charging at him again. He barely had the time to turn and lift up a hand in his defense, again projecting a sheild. His protection had been made quickly, however, and the fact that Bakura also had some dominion over shadow magicks (along with a Sennen Item) had eluded Marik for that brief instant. Bakura might or might not have been able to get through to him.
It felt to Jou that time had stopped when he had seen the single tear fall down into the carpet, disapearring quickly among the threads. He had never... not once to date seen Bakura shed a tear. Had what Marik had done really been that horrible? He could see why Bakura would be burning with anger, but...
"A-ah, Bakura...!" He nearly fell back when Bakura got up and charged, his eyes wide and confused. What was going on...!?

Bakura continued to scream out as he began to conjour shadows and pounded and did anything and almost everything possible to try break through Marik's barrier. He had an insane and bloodthirsty glint to his eyes that were screaming out revenge; Bakura was after revenge.

Marik's sheild had been too hastily constructed. It broke under the barrage of Bakura's magic, leaving him open and at the bloodthirsty thief's mercy. His eyes were wide, not panicked but very unpleasantly shocked. Damn it! Bakura had been down! He had made a possibly fatal flaw in counting the ex-tomb theif to be down and out. All he had time to do was step back and grab his shadow-made dagger from his belt, ready to fight.

"I'll make you pay for what you did to me on the blimp you sick b*****d!" Came Bakura's scream as he prepared to strike. The small, very small bit of logic and rational thinking that remained in him at this point in time hoped that Marik wouldn't find a way to stop him. The rest of Bakura just wanted Marik dead, dead for what he'd done and even for what he'd said to Jounouchi. The sickness of Marik's words were still with him; he was just trying to fight the feeling off until he'd hopefulyl been able to get rid of the dark spirit.

Marik's eyes narrowed, and a bit of a laugh came spilling out from between his lips. "The blimp... Battle City Finals, yes? I remember it oh so well, Bakura... do you?" He swiftly moved to one side, out of the way of Bakura's attack. The blade shone warningly in the dark, glinting like the dangerous thing that it was.
Like Marik's eyes.
"So sad that you must hold a grudge over that..." he glanced over to one side then, stopping mid-dodge. He was looking straight at Jounouchi.
Jou, while watching Bakura fearfully from the sidelines, decided to take some action. He wasn't about to lose Yuugi or Bakura! "Damn it... be careful Bakura," he whispered, starting to creep over in Yuugi's direction. If he got his friend loose, Yuugi could run... and if Yuugi ran, then he would be safe, and Jou could worry about taking down the enemy. The one that was looking straight at him with a sadistic looking smirk. Oh gods... this couldn't end well.

Bakura continued to try and hit him, rage was starting to take over Bakura compltly now. "Shut up! Just shut up for b*****d! How would you know what the hell it feels like to be the victim in any type of senario?!"

Marik simply dodged and blocked, smirking devilishly. "Oh, I do know. Think hot knives and bare backs, tomb robber. Underground, where no one can hear you scream but the ones instigating your pain." His expression actually changed for a split second. Something softer, something... almost sad... and as quickly as it had come, it was gone. "But those days are over, dear Bakura... for me. However, I can't say the same for you or your pet..." He made his move then.
Jou barely saw Marik change course in his direction. There was just a rustle of fabric and a shifting of shadows before the entire situation had changed. Marik was standing behind him, an arm around his waist, and the shadow-crafted blade held up at his throat. He could feel its presence there, barely denting the skin. And it was cold, so cold... he couldn't help but shiver. The thing felt like ice.
"Not another step." Marik held Jou back tightly against his front, almost like a living shield. He was smirking in a very pleased, self-assured way, showing that he was sure he had an obvious advantage. "Not unless... of course, I can keep this pretty pet... would you mind, Bakura?"

Bakura stopped and stared in horror. "Jounouchi..." was the small almost whisper that escaped his lips. Bakura started to feel sick again and flinched a hand wanting to move towards his stomach but he stopped it. Hopefulyl marik didn''t notice when his hand had instinctivly wanted to go to try to cope with the pain. "H-he''s not my pet damn it! And yes I do mind! I mind very much! So just let him go!" bakura yelled out at Marik.

"Mmm... I was hoping for that, Bakura-kun." He practically purred out the name, still gloating through his looks alone. "Now that I have your attention... what do you say to a little discussion, hm? A trade?" His head came forward to rest on Jounouchi's shoulder, the blade still as stone against the skin of the boy's neck. "You see, I have a little something I need to be done for me. The pharoh's vessel has proved to be worthless, as amusing as he is... and so, I must turn to you. My dear old friend." The grin that followed was just wide enough to show off his 'fangs', which glinted but like his blade and his eyes. All sharp, ruthless, and extremely dangerous. "Now... would you be willing to make a comprimise? Your services for your pup?"
Jou's entire body stiffened in annoyance and anger at that last line. Pup!? If he hadn't had a knife, Marik would have been so dead by then! (According to one tempermental blonde.) The coldness seeping into his skin from the knife though was enough to keep him quiet, even as his eyes narrowed and a bead of sweat dripped down the side of his face.

Bakura's eyes darted from Jounouchi to Marik and then back to Jounouchi. He didn't know what to do. He wanted to refuse, he didn't want to help Marik in the least but he also didn't want him to hurt Jounouchi.
Bakura hung his head a bit "A-alright...I-i'll do whatever you say...j-just let Jounouchi go." Bakura spoke, white knucled fists at his sides.

"B-Bakura, you don't even know he's gonna-" Jou was cut off by the feeling of the blade make a nice, quick sweep over the spot where his shoulders met his neck. It wasn't a deep wound- shallow, actually, a warning blow, but man, it stung! Jou hissed out in discomfort as the now slightly bloodied weapon found its previous place next to his jugular again.
"That's enough out of you, pup," the Egyptian purred, eyes languidly looking up from the pooling blood to Bakura's face. "I'm glad that we have an accord, my little thief... and I do suggest we do this quickly. I have been waiting for this a long time... a very, very long time." Marik's head lowered after he spoke, down to the wound. His lips barely touched the blood as he smirked up at the ex-tomb robber across from him, his expression taunting. "There is a desk in the room two doors down from you. It's down on the ground. Ignore the face of where it is, and open the drawer's lock, retrieving one- and I do mean one item from within it. Those objects do not belong to you, no matter how you may argue the matter. Just bring me the Rod, simple as that. I'll come for the rest later, but for now... that will do." And with that, Marik moved his head down a little more and licked carefully at the rising blood from Jou's shoulder, gaining a small pained whimper from the boy in the process. He may not have been showing it, but Jou was scared. Marik could taste it.

Bakura shook in his spot and then hesitantly started to head for the room. He went and quickly fetched the rod so as to have him not hurt Jounouchi again. Bakura was already livid that Marik had given him that one little cut. he walked back up to Marik and held the rod out to him, head still hung slightly so that his eyes were covered by his bangs. "Here, now let him go" Bakura spoke through clenched teeth.
