Jericho walked around a little more before finding a comfortable place to sit down where there was decent light. He sat down and opened up the guitar theory book to the page where he left off and began to read. This page taught the reader the A, D, and G Major scales. “This would be much easyer to learn if I actually had a guitar.” Jericho said to himself. Non the less Jericho began practicing on the air guitar learning the scales forwards and backwards. These scales were pretty easy and he quickly memorized the tablature, however playing it on an actual guitar might prove to be much harder.

Jericho turned the page and looked it over. “More scales that I have to image playing, awesome.” Jericho let out a sigh as he read the tablature for the C, F, Bb, and Eb Major scales. Her put his hands out as if he was player a guitar and practiced the finger movement and strumming patterns. He pretended to play each scale forward and backwards over and over again until the fingering felt natural to him. Its a lot like memorizing the hand seals. He thought to himself as he slowly turned the page.

The next page was a group of cords. This would prove to be hard to practice without a guitar since it is hard to get the fingering without being able to rest your palm of the neck and practice the reaches. Non the less Jericho attempted in the air. He learned the A, D, and G chords. The G chord seemed the hardest to practice because the reach was pretty far. Jericho smiled because he had at least memorized where his fingers were suppose to go, being able to actually perform this reach would probably be harder then it seemed.

Jericho turned the page and began to read. This page was all about hammer ons and pull offs. A hammer on is when you pluck a string, then with out plucking again hit or “Hammer on” a higher fret, changing the pitch without a second pluck. A pull off is the same thing but in reverse. Instead of hitting a higher note, you let go or “Pull off” of the higher note causing the lower note to sound without plucking a second time. Jericho read this and smiled, it seemed easy enough to him, but how knows if he could actually do it.

The next page was an exercise that was suppose to show you how to do hammer ons and pull offs, however without a guitar this was very difficult. Jericho was attempting to practice but he had no way of knowing if he was doing it right. He moved his fingers the way the book told him to but he doubted he was doing it right, so he set down the book and pulled a string out of his sash. He grabbed a small but think stick that was sitting next to him and attached it at both sides. At least now he would be able to hear if he was doing it correctly.

Jericho picked up the stick with the string attached to it and plucked it, it made a very low sound. He pushed down on the string then plucked again, the sound was still very low and one could barely hear it, but it was a slight bit higher. He plucked the string again then pushed down on it quickly, performing the hammer on. He smiled then pushed down on the string again and pushed down lower on the string making the sound a little lower. “There.” He said with a smile, at least he know how it worked.

Jericho turned to the last page and read it, this section was all about sliding and bends. A slide is when you pluck a note then slide your finger up or down the string gradually making the pitch higher or lower. A bend is when you pluck a string then bend the string by pushing it up or down, also making the pitch higher. After that there was a slight outro thanking you for reading this book and it wishes you the best on all of your guitar adventures. Jericho closed the book and pushed himself to his feat and yawned. “What should I do next.” He said to himself.

Rhiko winced at the sharp but tiny pain, his eyes slowly opened, then squinted to block out the masive flow of light from the high risen sun. Again the sharp pain hit his ear and he turned his head, coming face to face with a very brave, rather surprizing dove. It stared him in the face, unfearfull, and illuminated beautifully by a stray beam of light braking through the canopy above. It took off after a few moments, and Rhiko only stood watching it take off in flight. "A dove? That's unusual... don't see those around here... that's rare..."
Rhiko stared out at the grove, sighing, and streaching, as he reached for the scroll, his stumach growled and he droped it back down on the ground, reaching into his bag and pulled out some prepared rice balls that his mom put together for him before he left for training. "Jeez mom... you treat me like such a kid."

Rhiko, with a full stumach, went to work on his reading. It was very in depth for such early mourning, but he could handle it since he had such a long sleep. It was about 10AM so he had slept a good 9 hours. He quickly sped through a couple sections, not having to stop for anything.
It was almost 12 and he had completed most of the scroll. It wouldn't be long before he would be done, and begin working on the jutsu through practice... his least favorite section, but he always learned better when working hands on. So he continued working, with his mind set on finishing up quickly.

Rhiko continued working dilegently, reading unhalted, using the diagrams as guidelines, and speeding along quite well. It wasn't long till he could see the end of the text. He couldn't wait to be done, and move on to the next step. "Almost there, almost there, almost there..." He anticipated taking all he had collected through his reading and puting it to work.
The last few sections, were meer paragraphs, and he quickly began reading them, finding it a bit chalenging, but he was still able to understand them after some extra thought.

Rhiko struggled through the last few paragraphs, rubbing his head, wanting earnestly to finnish. He re-read the last paragraph, and found it mdae no sence. It seemed scambled and wierd. In fact, everything seemed like this. he looked around, confused and out of place. The tree branches above him were now below him, and the ground was above, "What the hell?"
The boulders of the grove were floating around like baloons. "A Genjutsu?!" His eyes drifted down to the text, at the end was a final message, one that wasn't there before, and below it a seal. GOOD LUCK! He slanted his view, and scratched his head, you got to be kidding... what... no warning? Jeez, I feel bad for anyone woh made the mistake of skipping to the end of the scroll! Jeez... well, now's my chance to learn... gotta fix this!"

Rhiko attempted to concentrate in the warped environment, his sence of balance was completely off, he felt like he was upside down, just like the illusion. "I knew genjutsu were convincing, but not this convincing... jeez... how am I suposed to practice in these conditions?!"
He held his hands together in front of him, trying to get the chakra flow to slow down. As it slowed, he quickly attempted to sever the flow. it did, but it went back to normal flow quickly. The genjutsu flickered, then came back to full strength. "Damn... almost had it... I'm on the right track... just got to keep practicing."

Rhiko's strugles were becoming apparent, his head was hurting and he felt dizzy, stupid genjutsu is getting worse... he consentrated, and atempted to spread out his chakra. But the genjutsu only made it harder to pull off. Most of the chakra ended up in his head, because of the false sence of gravity.
Rhiko pressed on, and spread his chakra out again, cuting it off, and releasing the genjutsu for a short time. It wasn't long enough though, and the genjutsu manifested again, throwing him back into the topsy turvy world. Damn it!

Rhiko pressed on, trying his best, not to let the Genjutsu get to him, his paience was wearing thin, and a bit of a temper was flaring up. Come on! I wish I could have practiced a bit with my chakra before I got hit by this... Damn... this is so hard!
Rhiko shifted the chakra around, and prepared, he cut off the flow again, and looked around, all seemed good, so he let the chakra flow continue. In a mater of seconds, it came back, and he released a shout of anger, wishing baddly to just reach down and rip up the scroll in an attempt to destroy and disperce the genjutsu.

The genjutsu was getting more and more severe, rhiko was feeling sick from the constant setting of backwards gravity. He tried desperately, to collect himself, and pull off the genjutsu Ki, but found he could not. He closed his eyes, and blocked out the sight that made him sick.
He stabalized himself, and retried the ki, it worked, then went back to the Genjutsu... Crap! What is the problem?! I can't get it! Every time I succeed, I get caught again! What am I supposed to do?!

Rhiko was feeling the lasting affects of the genjutsu, and couldn't help but rock back and forith, groaning as it affected his sence of up and down, left and right, and even forwards and back. He couldn't open his eyes, he knew if he did he'd likely loose the nice brekfast his mom made for him. This continued for several minutes, and he was still unable to pull himself together. Soon, he had almost lost contiousness, and the blood seemed to rush to his head, dispite his knowledge that in reality, he was still siting in place.

Jericho tied his book up in his sash and yawned. So what next? He felt he had to do something in between the reading or else his mind would probably explode. He looked up at the sun, then at the trees that surrounded him. They were all relatively close and had rather large branches. Jericho smiled as an idea came to his head. He quickly ran over to one of the trees and scurried up it. He balanced out onto one of the branches and looked around to see where he would jump to from there.

Jericho spotted a thick branch a few feet away from the branch he was one. He braced himself and looked down to the ground. “The first steps always the hardest.” He said to himself. Jericho held onto the branch with both hands then suddenly let go and pushed off with his right foot and leapt into the air. He grabbed a hold of the branch with his hands and pulled himself up onto it. He let out a sigh of relief and wiped the sweat from his forehead. “This is pretty dangerous.”

Jericho looked around from the tree branch he was standing on and saw another decent looking branch to jump to. He steadied himself then pounced at the branch, which was about five feet away. Her just reached it and grabbed a hold of it. However his momentum was too great and he flew off of the branch and accidentally did a back flip in midair. He fell abut fifteen feet and landed hard on his chest knocking the wind out of him instantly. Jericho hunched over and grabbed his chest as he gasped for air.

Jericho Stayed hunched over for about five minutes. After that he slowly pushed himself to his feet and looked up at the trees. He walked over to the closest one and climbed up it branch by branch until he reached the middle of the tree. He walked over to the edge of one of the branches and looked over to the next tree and saw a branch pretty close. He took half a step back then jumped forward. He landed on top of the branch but quickly lost balance and fell to the ground back first. He collided hard with the ground and his eyes rolled back in his head. He was unconscious for a few minutes but quickly snapped out of it.

Jericho pushed himself to his feet and rubbed his back. “Man am I going to be sore tomorrow…..or in five minutes.” He said to himself as he looked up at the closest tree. He climbed half way up it and found a good solid branch to walk out on. He slowly walked out to the edge of it and looked over at the next branch he was going to jump to. He took a few deep breaths trying to get in the right mindset for doing this then suddenly jumped across. He landed very gracefully and in perfect balance. He let out another sigh of relief as he began to look around for the next branch.
