Ou Shinsa Otokomae *is forced backwards* yeah kinda...*grins* Well, as you might know, the idea of the palm strike is to unleash devastating force upon weak points of the opponent's body. A well trained human palm can level a forest. A well trained demon palm...well...I've seen those level cities. We will train your palms and if you stay dedicated you could do more damage than your claws..

*Kage enters a rather familiar stance. He shifts to one side and rests a portion of his body weight on one back foot, heel pivoted. His lead foot stands slightly bent and forward, leaving his body ready to shift weight and force at any time. One hand is reared back and tensed, the other stands half extended at face level. Both hands are with palms protruding, and fingers clenched inward like claws*

*sigh* patience, furbrain...you really must learn that some day. Now then, your attack was the basic palm thrust. Try executing that attack again with more focus and aim at chest level. Step in with your attack and put the force of your weight behind it. Have at thee!
((yet another Invincible Kage moment whee ))

*Kage, in his current stance, moves his extended hand in a circular fashion before bringing it down to grab Shin's wrist in mid strike, pulling the arm down and locking it. Kage pauses very briefly to see if Shin would notice a slight opening in his movement, and a chance to use his other arm*

*Shin does not bat an eye as he moves his feet perpendicular to Kages so as not to be thrown. With right arm in kage's clutches, he spins tightly to the right, aiming a strike near Kage's rib cage with his left palm*

*Kage smiles inwardly as he notices Shin's movement. He is forced to drop the hold on Shin's arm to bring his own hand over and block the follow-up attack swiftly. Kage shifts his stance to his other side and steps backward defensively* good, good. Timing your attack with the movement of your body helps insure that weight is shifted and transferred. Remember that power comes from the center and flows outward. Try one more time.

*Without waiting to size Kage up, Shin whilrs swiftly, landing in the same type of position facing Kage, left palm flying wiht a step forward towards the master's core*

*Kage watches intently on Shin's movement. He reads the fighter's muscle patterns and waits for the strike. As Shin motions for the palm thrust, Kage snaps out his extended hand, hitting Shin on the temple with the back of his hand, knuckles exposed due to the claw formation. The attack is so swift and stunning that it causes Shin to stagger and stop his attack short. Kage then hops forward and shifts weight to his side again, switching stance and thrusting his left palm out in a 45 degree angle upward. He strikes hard and true right between Shin's eyes, blurring the fighter's vision and knocking him backwards to the ground*

*he pauses and smiles at Shin* A little 3 in 1 step right there. You have mastered the idea of the basic lunging palm thrust. *kage nods lightly before continuing* A good surprise counter move as I demonstrated is known as reverse talon. It is based on the principle that with your fingers crooked and tensed inward, the knuckles are exposed. It is not foul play to use this for a blinding advantage or stunning attack to catch your opponent off guard. The follow-up move you felt was a variation of the basic palm thrust known as the skyward palm thrust. Obviously you want to arc your palm strikes when aiming for the face.

Ou Shinsa Otokomae Right o... but what about the mountains ridge ? Ahh you mean ridge hand? Also known as knife edge, open hand, etc. Like the ridge of a mountain range your attacks must be sharp, and precise... At least...I hope that's what you mean sweatdrop
