Her pause didn't give much away, in fact it gave him nothing to work with except possibilities of what people normally do during times of silence; think, recuperate, focus, stuff like that. However, once the voice came back without tears, Ruuvan had to compose himself to clarify who he was looking for. "Maximos of Aria?" He went by another name once, most people had heard of him, but never had a chance to put a face to the name since those who did know the Destroyer normally died, "The Destroyer?"

::Awwww, Ruuvan was sweet. Here was this obviously distraught random girl, and he was bringing sunshine and laughter to her day. He probably didnt mean to, but she did carry a hefty amount of laughter on her voice when she responded.::
You know, you've come a long long way away knock on the wrong door. Thats pretty funny Mister. Now really, what do you want? Do you have an appointment to see the Doctor?

Laughing? Someone was laughing at his serious question because they thought it was a joke?
With a heavy sigh he rested his head on the door, thinking for a moment on his situation; she didn't know Maximos, it was now evident she was a receptionist of sorts for this Doctor... perhaps he knew where Maximos was? "Ah, you got me!" Playing up to the joke, Ruuvan put on a lighter tone and continued the conversation through the door, "I do... is he in?" Moment of truth.

Crap!
Well that through him a loop, not that he was expecting to be let straight in, but she had asked the question soon after he replied leaving little time to formulate a fake name, but maybe he had an appointment and didn't know it... it was a long shot. "Ruuvan Lassenger." He proceeded to spell out the surname, some speck of hope in his head that the name would pass, but the majority said no.

::The rustling of papers came to a stop.::
Yes! Mr. Lassenger, your name is right here on the list.
::She seemed so totally serious. One could hear the sounds of machines churning inside the tower, as if she was opening the door. Or perhaps just prepping the patient for pick up.::
It says here that your dying. Is that right Mr. Lassenger?

Churning metal was never a good sound, especially when the tower looked like it had security measures that could take out a giant and the receptionist had gone from breakdown to serious in one step. As far as dying went, either there really was an appointment or that churning was going to be the cause of said ailment. "No, I'm just here to see the doctor!" He backed away from the door slowly, his hands instinctively moving to the swords as he waited to see what that noise was.

::Something about the size of the tower said that swords in this place were tantamount to toothpicks against an elephant. The receptionist sounded puzzled as she responded.::
Really? Well unfortunately Mr. Lassenger, you have to be dying in order to get an appointment with the Doctor. But as you seem so eager to make one...
::BOOM. There was an explosion of extraordinary magnitude. Something akin to a 10 ton wieght hitting the ground about 6ft behind Ruuvan. But things that wiegh so much usually are very large, whatever struck the ground was very small. Despite the amount of sand it kicked up, it looked humanoid beneath it all.
A set of bright violet eyes peered out of the snow cloud. The violet glow traced invisible lines along the figures bald head, and down its arms and legs.::
...we can help you meet the requirements.

Should've said yes...
Given the volume of the explosion that went of behind him, especially with the ground shaking beneath his feet, one would've expected to be confronted with a giant as they turned around and thus would look up. Ruuvan did that and saw nothing but the black cloud, his gaze quickly falling to stare back at the two purple eyes peering through the snow. For something that looked to be no taller than a regular human it sure had a lot of power in it, either magic or pure physical strength, but this wasn't going to be easy.
Ruuvan grimaced slightly as the woman finished off her sentence, the whole situation and corny one-liner grating at his sense of enthusiasm for it all. However, after an instant spent on reflection and analyses, both the Decker blades came out and he waited for the thing to approach and fulfil the Doctor's criteria.

:: Approach, was not as fitting a word as "charged". Its feet dug into the ground and it burst forward. A bit of a graviton boost being expelled from behind it, in order to propell it forward and assist it in delivering a whopping right hook toward the center of Ruuvans chest.
The "thing" was humanoid. It stood exactly 6ft tall, wearing a jet black track suit, and looking as cold and void as this entirely place did.::

Well it wasn't slow, that's for sure. In fact, there seemed to be something else aiding this beings ability. Still, this was no time to be contemplating how it was happening, it was a time to act and make sure not to get your chest destroyed in the process. So, as he closed in to deliver the chest-shattering right hook, Ruuvan darted to his right quickly and out of his path, leaving nothing but the thick metal door in the way of his charge. Not like that would stop it, but Ruu's chest was now safe for the time being.
Once to the side, he allowed the being to pass slightly before spinning on the ball of his left foot and bringing the far blade around aiming to slash into the back of his opponent.

::With a loud thud, and a thunderous crunch M4X's fist slammed into the door, burrying itself about a foot in the metal. Obviously, this provided enough of an hinderance that Ruuvans blades were allowed to slash across its back.
Ruuvan was probably used to the feeling of metal slicing through flesh, as such he would easily recognize its absence.
He would feel the skin give slightly, and then feel the tension of metal grinding against metal. The blades would come back, coated in a blue gunk. And after wretching his arm free of the door, the android would stomp across the thin distance between the fighters and swing a right cross, while some sort of violet glow seemed to be forming in the palm of his left hand.::

The absence of a glorious flesh-rendering slash and opponent defeatage was confusing to say the least, but Ruu figured it wouldn't be this easy to get into the tower and get some answers. With a moment's break once the blade finished its slash and the android pulled his fist from the door, Ruuvan took a moment to look at the blue liquid on his blade and could see these miniature robot-type things eating away at his sword.
Double crap!
Trying to do it as quickly as possible, Ruu drew the flat of the blade across his right thigh and repeated it for the other side, thus removing the little cretins. Of course, once this was done, he was left with little time to react to the oncoming attack, but being an Elf meant you were s**t-quick, agile and dextrous to boot. Of course, when you can see that your opponent is charging up some ball of energy in his other hand, you know that stopping the primary attack isn't going to be the end of it; a technique Maximos had used many times before, a technique that had caused Ruu the loss of his eye.
Since physical objects, unless enchanted, were otherwise useless against magic, Ruuvan was left with little choice but to throw one of his swords into the snow a few feet behind him and start bringing his own ball of light energy into the palm of his hand. As far as the incoming punch went, Ruuvan swung the sword up and around, turning it so the flat of the blade would collide with the fist from an angle and knock it out of the way. In case this parry didn't work, given the fact this robot was strong, Ruuvan lowered his head and took a step back.

::It was a sucess, the sword connected with a ding and the fist was shoved off to the side. Immediately the android thrust his hand forward and released the "energy ball" it was holding.
It was all but masked as the android was running, but at close range one could see that the flakes of snow which harmlessly fell during the battle were being drawn into the energy ball M4X held. That realization would prove useless as the Graviton Ball was released, the ball simply expanded outwards releasing a shockwave of force at Ruuvan.
Scientifically, the ball had created a small controlled gravitational well, like pulling back on a rubber band. And when it was released gravity shot forward, like releasing the rubber band, and Ruu who was directly in front of the droid, would find himself in the path of the rubber band.
Strangely, M4X's eyes were locked on Ruuvan's hand.::
X System active...processing...
::A crosshair in the machines HUD display focused on the light ball in Ruuvans hand in cue with the read out.::
Photon acceration caused by an infusion of arcana. Replicatable.
::The words were never spoken, as they were visibly only to M4X. But they were typed none the less.::

There were many things that ball could've been; a shadow bomb similar to one Maximos used, a plain old 'hadoken' styled ball or a condensed ball of gravity now turned into a shockwave that was coming directly towards him. Since the android had control over said force, it would've been useless to put up a reflective barrier and send it his way, so something else had to be done.
Just as he matched the process of forming a ball of energy, Ruu matched the movement of bringing up his arm and using the power that had been charged. Instead of erupted out in a shockwave pattern and destroying both forms of energy at the collision point, Ruu's ball sucked part of itself into to form a dome shape and then stretched over the entirety of his front, the shockwave moving around it causing an echo noise inside his cocoon and he used the force pressing against him to slide backwards towards his second sword. It acted much like a pillar to running water; the shockwave ran around the shield and continued on behind him. With the immediate threat gone and the android reading his every move, the shield faded and Ruuvan grabbed his sword from the ground.
In a switch of roles, Ruu strode towards his opponent and thrust the left blade towards his chest in a simple stab.
