*Azrael landed in a crouch with a dull thud, he looked around, his eyes trying to adjust.*
No problem, see ya soon
*Closing his eyes and feeling for his bearings Azrael darted off in Ice's direction, winding his way through the catacombs at high speed*

*The catacombs... ALL levels... were filled with nasties. Aeons worth of 'pets' Ice had grown tired of fand released to wander far below the barren wastes above, preying on whomsoever got dropped down there... and each other.
Ice walls gave way to bone and obsidian in various directions, the remains of many very disturbing beasts to be found all over the place.
For Iden, assuming his night vision was workig, the first thing he would be met with was the calcified remains of what was probably once a protodrake. Two eyes gleamed from within the skull, watching Iden curiously as he entered the large chamber its bones inhabited*

*For Az, the walls swiftly became narrower, thin passages that wound meanderingly ahead, the walls jagged and much less intentional than previously, indicating SOMETHING had carved them. Carved them with tooth and claw.
Probably the same comething that had DECIMATED what was possibly one of Ice's wendigo's in the firts room HE came to.
Blood, flesh, white fur and meat littered the floor,but there were no bones...
Above, something skittered dryly*

Bones, and eyes. At first the eyes did not catch his attention. But that was a short lived fact. Bones were never a good sign in such a place, and Iden was wary.
The dual firearms fell to his sides once more, as the blade was taken into both hands. Whatever was waiting, he was ready for it as he walked forwards. He couldn't afford to stop, not when Az was alone up ahead.

*A sly smirk spread across Azraels face and he drew his white Zanpaktou, coming to stand in the centre of the room. He adopted a typical stance, his sword held before him in both hands, and closed his eyes, feeling for movement*

*the voice was booming, but the skull did not move. No, but the eyes did. They walked out of the skull. Two felines, rotten and rancid, that circled Iden as he camein with his blade*
Nor I... Nor I... what is it doing down here do you think? Walking corpse, corpse that moves... a bone for me, a bone for you...
Hush little sister. It has purpose. It is armed. a toy form above that wishes death. Shall we let it on its way?

*For Az, movement came right in front of his face.
And at his sides.
And from behind.
And all around, really.
Long thin tendrils of living bone drippd down fro the ceiling, reach, grabbing, seeking to take hold of him and drag him above to where a maw made entirely of sharpened bone awaited, a fleshy cavern that assumably contained a stomach beyond*

*Azrael kicked in his celerity for extra speed and flash stepped away from the tendrils, identifying the maw above. With targets all around him there was a simple solution*
Chire!
*The blade of his zanpaktou disintegrated into petals that danced around him. They whirled outwards as if an expanding whirlwind, with him as the centre. The petals could easily cut bone and they whirled their way upwards through the tentacles, aiming to swarm into the mouth of the creature, breaking through it's teeth/face to do so if neccessary. On the ground Az kept moving, flash stepping around the room to avoid lashes from the remaining tendrils if they continued.*

My purpose lies elsewhere, my blade hungry for retaliation. I will suffer no obstruction.
Iden's expression remained fixed. He was walking forwards, aware of the felines, but not lashing out against them. His words were spoken clearly to be heard, and to see what it was that would be seen.

*The mouth shrieked, tandrils whiplashing around the room, continuing to move and crawl even as they were severed. As the mouth was penetrated, its insides chewed to bits, the tendrils became as dust, chokingly thick in the air, dangerous if inhaled, for they woudl swell within the alveoli of the lungs and prevent breathing. It was not a worry for Cainites, and Az's progress deeper into the catacombs would not be hindered further by this beast at least.
Further down the halls, in the next 'room' he would come to find a less obvious trap awaiting him. The room LOOKED empty. It SMELLED empty. There were just many many bones all over the floor, most of the big ones cut in half or smaller. Yet nothing lived here. The secret? Thin, haemox lined wires bisected the room, unseen, razor sharp, enough to cut into anything fleeing form the bone vine in the previous room*

*the two cats didnt seem hostile, and they moved in closer circles around Iden*

Make it pay for our hunger.... yes yes... make the master hurt. For allll of us....
*Yep, they were accepting. They came closer with intent to brush against Iden and rub around his legs lik ethe house cats they resembled. Only... if they did, he;d find juices form their rotten bodies wearing like acid through his clothing and it wouldnt stop once it got to his skin*

Iden was still maintaining pace. He didn't think much of it, though when the creatures tried to touch him, he gently lowered the haft of his blade, to prevent the contact. It was Ice's domain...he trusted nothing, obviously friendly or not.

*Benihime's blade reforming Azrael sheathed her and smirked, walking calmly toward the next room. He stopped in the entranceway and looked at the shredded remains all about the floor*
Interesting...
*With Iden gone he needn't fear exposing his brother so he casually removed his bandana, examining the room with his transparent eye.*
VERY interesting...
*He chuckled softly, wondering how many people had blundered straight in here to escape from the previous room. He slowly drew Isoda and with a firm vertical slice let loose an air blade of Kagu's energy that severed all the wires ahead, allowing him to carry on through, and then out of, the room.

*The next room Az came across was almost identical, in every way. Save for a couple of spiders overhead.
this time though, if he was foolish enough to treat it the same, he;d come to find the wires were part of an immense spider, coated in metallic armour that was practically invisible against teh metallic shade of the room itself. Should the wires be damaged this time.. he would find himself swarmed with broodlings, and attacked by the massive mandibles of the room sized spider as it woke and came for him*

*In Iden's case, the two mangy cats, denied the chance to brush against their target, attacked. They leapt for his back as he waled past, both dripping and oozing acidic internal fluids, not caring if they cut each other open as they threw themselves at the younger DeSeer, claws sharp enough to cut through any armour less than sheet metal*

His hands gripped the haft of the blade, turning the spear into something akin to a baseball bat. With his lightning reflexes, he was more than capable of slapping them from the air.
I warned you, I would suffer no obstruction.
It was the last warning. Az was still ahead, alone. Iden needed to keep moving. So after the swing, he turned once again, walking forwards.

*Keeping his bandana off had been a good idea, the spider was so visible to him it may as well have been neon pink in colour. He didn't care to wait and see if it had seen him, he aimed Isoda straight at its head.
However, aware of the numerous smaller spiders in the room Azrael removed one of a collection of small vials from his coat, and tossed it to the floor. Staring at the small puddle of methanol he focused his energies on the room around him. clenching his teeth under the slight strain of the task he used his alchemy to transmute all of the water in the air molecules into methanol.
Then, he fired his shot from Isoda, aiming at the spiders brain. The shot of flaming energy would cause the room to FILL with Kagu's demonic blaze, as the very air itself caught fire. Az himself caught fire of course, but simply laughed aloud, the sensation being nothing more to him than a warm breeze.*
