Yeah, I was also surprised when there was no specifics on the number of orks you can fit into a trukk, yet it tells you how many you can fit into a battlewagon.

Interesting Ork idea my friends and I came up with today: Looted Drop Pods. Sure, they're not on the list of lootable vehicles, but they are in the Space Marine Codex, and they're not skimmers. It's a nice way to get Ork Dreadz and Killa Kans into combat. More amusingly, what happens when you 'fix' thier immobilized status with Grot Riggers? How about throwing Turbo-boostas and Red Paint on them? A Boarding plank? Stikkbomb Chuckas?

Could also do it with the VDR pretty easily, and it would require the same level of "opponent approval."

Heck, you could even arm it and let it stay on the board after dropping.

I think that means you can't use them.

If you could use anything, I'd have a looted Carnifex, and have it with a Slava behind it, crackin' that whip.

All I've got to say is that Gork is meaner than Mork.

Ah yes, the classic Gorkamorka saying goes like this: Gorkas are brutally cunning, and Morkas are cunningly brutal.

Actualy, it says you can use anything as long as your opponet gives consent. If they say its alright to use, you can do it.

Maybe so, but all legality issues aside, think about it logically.

What kind of Ork is going to want to hoist a massive pod into whatever aerial vehicle they may have, stuff other Orks into it, and let it plummet to the planetside, just to jump out of a potentially faulty door and do what they would have done in the first place, that being run towards the baddies?

It's the same as any other vehicle. Gets them to battle faster! Plus, I bet it's a real fun ride down, and it probably makes a big bang when it crashes down. What Ork wouldn't want one?

hey how about this idea: Ork Demolition Derby!

make a custom set of rules to build and customize a truck, load it with weapons and boyz, an get to smash en!

you need a really good set of custom rules for it though. And mabey a way to loot other destroyed truks or an XP system.

You don't hoist it up. That's where it starts! You've got thousands of orks floating around on a derelict - how are they gonna get to the surface?

DROP 'EM!

And another thing is that ork wouldn't hoist it up, they would most likely force gretchen to do it for them.
