"It is...I can show you a little if you like." Annalynna pulled a small pebble out of her pocket, holding it in her open palm for Arashi to see. She closed her eyes, turning her inner thoughts to the stone in her hand. Slowly, the shape began to change, taking theshape of a finely filigreed egg. Pictured in the delicate filigree were detailed carvings of sculptured caverns. When she was finished, she opened her eyes, pressing the dainty stonework into the other girls hand with a smile.

Oh wow, Arashi breathed, studying the stone in her hand. It's so beautiful, she said with a bright smile, looking at the delicate work in her hand. I bet you miss it a lot, huh? How did you end up in the Underground?

Thank you 'Lynna blushed. I do miss it a little. Everything..the colors....She eyed her new friend apologetically, everything is so bright here.

It is very colorful, there are so many different kinds of people, and so many different things to see... Arashi said, smiling to Annalynna. Does it hurt your eyes? Can you ever visit your home again?

The colors do hurt, not too much now though. She pulled a square of fabric from her face, invisible until pulled from her skin. This helps with the worst of it, She explained, draping it over her eyes once more. I can go home...I think, if I can remember exactly how I got here.

What exactly is that? Arashi asked, her eyes wide as she saw the thing that the girl pulled from her skin. Does it help minimize the brightness? she asked.

'Lynna pulled it from her eyes again, carefully keeping her eyes lowered to the table as she handed it to the other girl to see. It's a veil of magic, she explained quietly. Basically, it fades the colors so that my eyes can focus.

Arashi studied the fine fabric closely, noting the magic she sensed from it, magic that was foreign to her. She nodded and smiled to 'Lynna before gesturing for her to put it back on. Your people sure are different than mine, I think it's enchanting though, she said with a polite smile, bowing her head to the girl.

'Lynna replaced the veil over her eyes, releasing a soft sigh as she opened her eyes once more, smiling her gratitude back at the other girl. Tell me more about your people she suggested softly.

Sure, Arashi said with a small laugh. There's not much to tell. We're just like normal humans, with powers, though, she said with a smile. Though, when it comes to my family, our powers are farely uncommon, as my mother is a goddess, and most of us have different fathers who have their own powers, so pretty much everyone is unique, and we all have our best elements, Arashi explained with a nod, giggling softly. Oh, no... she said, her tone dropping. I'm so sorry, I have to go! I hope we can meet up again, she said before disappearing.

Cas slipped into the large, quiet building out of the rain, looking thuroughly unhappy. His long hair was soaked, and he looked exhausted, and very well like he would be sick soon. He sighed, gazing around the large entrance passage.
This place would do nicely, he decided. It was time to settle down again. It would be big enough that they wouldn't notice a very quiet, very polite tenant.
He groaned, softly, hoisting his pack up onto his shoulder and sloshing, carefully, deeper into the library to find a public restroom, where he could change clothes and hang the ones he was weaing out ot dry.

Kimiko meandered through the works, pondering which book to pick up. "Hmmm...." She started talking to herself quietly, trying to decide which book. "Hmm... this one is entirely too thin... urgh I don't want a picture book... what about... no, no, no I don't like that author...." She sighed heavily as she left yet another section, and headed towards the card catalogue. "Well, it looks like I'll have to hunt the old fashioned way," she commented as she started looking through for a book she would want. "Ho ho! What's this? They have the complete works of Poe????? Alright!" She memorized the call numbers, and started her new search.

Cass had let his clothes dry out and packed them back into his bag, having dressed again in an extra set. Now, he was draped across a chair in a far corner of the fiction section. It was the perfect spot, just under a nice window where the sun could come through on him, keep him warm and light his reading all at once.
He sighed, pleasantly, settling into the chair and opening his book of the moment, Archangel by Sharon Shinn.

Kimiko got back to the fiction section, and started looking through the books, trying to find the one she was after. "C565.... Where is it?" She bit her lip, and stomped her foot a little harder then she meant to. 'It's not here! Oh this isn't fair! she shook her hand at the ceiling, furious. "Well... you'll have to do then...." She sighed as she picked up Classic tales of terror: stories of suspense. "I just hope you can amuse me," she vented as she headed for a seat she saw. She paused as she came to the end of the book shelf, and saw there was another person there. Hoping that he didn't mind if she joined that little seating area, she sat down in an overstuffed chair, sighing happily to be off her feet, and smoothing her dress out before she started to read.

Cass looked up, eyes wide in surprise at the sudden appearance of a girl. He swallowed, heavily, face bright with a blush at the very sight of her.
But, as she did say anything to him, he remembered his manners and tucked back into his book, quickly, blushing even harder for staring.
