"I guess that works as well as anything else."
Luana left her soda on one of the tables and started checking the next shelf, now and again taking a book down for a closer look.
K. She hadn't seen him in a while. For a fleeting moment she wondered how he was.
On the first shelf she searched she found only one book that looked like it would do her any good, so she set it on the table next to her drink and continued to search.
"Any luck yet, Captain?"

"This place is in serious need of organization," she muttered as she finished another shelf. "If there is one thing about this place that really is random, this is it."
As she moved between the shelves she faded out, and the book that was in her hands at the time fell open on the floor.
**Exit Luana**

**Enter Maggie from Main, 792**
*Maggie walks over from the hallway to one of the study tables, resting her sewing work down on top of it, then crosses to the shelves. She slowly reads over the spines, looking for something to help her practice either her Brink power or her reading or both . .. but then something else catches her eye. She reaches up to pull the book down, gazing thoughtfully at the cover, and then carries it over to the table to try reading it*

**Enter Luana from Main Room 792**
Luana came to a halt at the entrance to the library when she saw Maggie at one of the reading tables.
Okay, Lu, she thought to herself. She hasn't proven herself to be any kind of threat yet, so you can calm down. She took a deep breath. Now just go in and be friendly.
She walked in with a smile on her face. "Hello, Maggie."

"Oh, I'm fine. How are you doing?" Luana stood across the table from Maggie. "And what are you reading?"

I am well, I thank ye ... *she pauses, glancing down at the book in front of her. She hasn't even gotten past the first page. She shakes her head slightly and then slides it over toward Luana. Garden Medicine . . . it looks like a book on herbal remedies.* I thought I might try te read it, but I'mna able te very well, yet. *she admits, sheepishly* I ought te have picked out something simpler.

Luana looked the book over. "Simpler? Are you just learning how to read?"
She temporarily pushed the water clock to a back burner in her mind and sat down across from Maggie.

"Bard," she thought for a second. "I've seen him a couple of times." The last time had been her first meeting with Tavin, just after Bard's mother passed away. She wondered how he was, but decided not to ask.
She handed the book back to Maggie. "You seem to learn a lot of things here. Didn't you say something the other day about learning how to bring things into this place, or something like that?"

*Maggie nods again, then closes the book and sets it aside for now* Aye, that, Tavin taught me. He's taught different abilities te different people, so that we might ... *her expression grows troubled for a moment* Well .. I can bring things in so long as I can form a clear picture of them in my mind.

"So that you might what?" Luana leaned in a little and folded her hands on the table. "If you don't mind me asking, that is," she quickly added.
