Miangel Inucoli our first bari last year owned his own and it had black laquer on it too. it was probably the coolest thing i've ever seen ^__^ I wanted a black tenor so bad, but I just got a standard gold/silver one. Oh well. It works fine, and it's new so it's still pretty spiffy. 3nodding My pro tenor will be black lacquer... you'll see.

rachellemybelle dude... I didn't think it was a question... BARRITONE SAXOMOPHONE all the way, low Eb between the legs... I mean... YA!!! You know the legendary "Brown Noise" frequency is a really low and flat Eb? That might not be a good idea then... ^ ^ But that's concert pitch. Anyway, my friend tells me he can feel a rumble if he plays a low C on his alto down there.

hey so i have a question for you guys. i've been teaching my mom how to play alto sax. so far i've taught her a 1 octave C scale starting on middle C and going up. for some reason she can't get the D to speak and i can't figure out why! it's not a commonly messed up note or anything, or at least i've never heard of people having problems. her embouchure looks fine. in fact it looks better than mine and i've been playing for 5 years ^__^* any of you guys have an idea?

Been playing Alto sax for... hmm... about 4 years I think. Got into the jazz band in 7th grade and still in it in 10th. Can play tenor, soprano, and barry, but I dont own them -sigh-. Going to buy them though, along with flute, trumpet, harmonica, and bagpipes.
