Lena gave Kayura a smile. The armors had created such pain in thier lives....but in reality? She didn't wish them gone.....She began to speak out, "They've caused us all great pain..I won't lie. You see the scars on all of us....but...I don't wish for the existence that you describe...where we cease to exist? Things change....if history itself changed? Would that mean..I would never have met my friends? Sure..it's possible I'd still be with my family today....but would that maen I would never have met Ryo or Dani? Rowen and the others? What about Kayura.....and yes, even Kale and Sehkmet...no matter how pissed I am at them right now."

She shook her head, then loked determined, "Your selfishness would deny us all the associations we would have had up to his point...the growth, our lives....I can't accept that. I don't wish that."

Batrias winced, holding his chest. He started to think. Kayura had dealt him a serious blow, and Sage had defeated him before...could it mean that he didn't have the One Armor? Was that possible? If it was, then where did his armor come from?

"What you accept or don't accept has nothing to do with what must be done," Batrias said. "Now, submit yourself, and save the world. Or, preserve yourself and damn it. Either way, it would seem a cruel fate awaits you."

Lena blinked, unbelieving of this. If she were taken down...at least like this, then her friends would no longer be in trouble.But...she didn't want it...not like this. Not where she died and left them behind. She closed her eyes, then opened them, glaring, "Your confused....aren't you?"

She grinned, watching him, "Confused...and hoping I'd go along with it...Sorry. But I'm disinclined to aquiess to your demands...I have dreams and a future too. I'm fighting to save those, not destroy them." She shrugged, "Besides, my mamma never raised me to be a quitter. I won't do it now."

"I am not confused," Batrias said, "But-"

"Shut up already!" Kayura shouted, punching Batrias in the face. Then, she spoke to Lena. "It's time we showed these 'warlords' what saving the world really means!"

Lena gave Kayura a smile, glad that someone was still where they needed to be, "Indeed.....Let's do it."

She flicked a Shukusen open in one hand, a set of prayer beads in the other, "How do you think we should take down the traitors?"

INside, however, she was counting down her bravado. After all...the dark power was still a part of her armor. She could only bet on staying in control for so long.

"SILENCE!" Tusuki's voice shook the walls and foundations of the building.

She herself was armed now, with a sword looking far too big for her slender frame to manage.

"I don't much care about this Blacksmith and I really don't care, Batrias, if by letting him fail or suceed if you will see the light of another day. I have one agenda, and one alone. The Wildcats destroyed my life, my home, my family. Then the Ronins killed my father and I was left with nothing. Even my best friend betrayed me. I will have my vengence and I will do all in my power to do so. If that means killing this Blacksmith with you, so be it, if it means killing everyting in my path, I will do it."

Lena turned, looking up to face the angry woman. Her eyes narrowed a bit, listening to what she had to say. Her eyes switched to what was around her, listening to her in a rapt sense of awe. This couldn't have been good.....They got her mad, "You're father...?"

She thought back on what she knew of armor history, and blinked, "Oh...you mean Talpa..."

Her voice was soft, she herself able to see the dark spirits as they seemed to surge with Tusuki's anger.

"Yeah, i will be finfe." She mumbled and shook her head. 'Something is not right though...why was Lena taken away from us?' She thought as she clenched her hands.

In her dreams, she remembered darkness surrounding her and others screaming for help. Could this actually be happening? Could the evil that laid within the darkness slowly take over the world without the others knowing it? Bitting her lower lip, Kanita looked up at the sky. "I am going. I know the darkness inside out and I know what it's like being on the side of evil. If Lena is there, I can help." She stated in a low whisper.

This was going to be hard for her. Rarely has she ever tapped into her element of darkness and now was the time. But it has consummed her before and she knows what evil was like. Sighing heavily, the girl quickly walked towards the woods, there, she hoped that her powers can actaully help her out in the time of need.

"This one does not concern you, Tusuki," Kayura declared, ready to spring at Batrias, her eyes on Lena. "She has nothing to do with you. If you let her go, then we have nothing more to quarrel over."

Sehkmet shrugged, his hands going palms-up. "That's not going to happen, you know." He pointed his Sword of Venom at Kayura. "But if you really want to go through with this, then I will have to oppose you."

"A Mexican Standoff, is it..." Kale said to himself.

Sighing to herself, Kanita want into a clam like state. "I hope that this works." She whispered, closing her eyes; The young girl had placed her helment back onto her head anc tried to feel for Lena.

Not knowing on what will lay ahead of her, the girl continued to try. Finally, she had a hold of her energy power. but something was wrong, something was not right with her. Bitting her lower lip, Kanita had allowed the darkness to take control of her body. For a ying yang fighter, she had always feared this part and now, now was the time for her to actually try it just this once.

Within a blink of an eye, the girl had made it to Lena. As she had opened them, something had actually gotten a hold of her. Could this be fear? Or was it something else? Whatever it was, the girl had stayed within the darkness. Hoping that it could conceal her until the time was right.

"Lets do this...." Lena nodded, standing up tall once more. Her eyes were dark, she felt that sinister feeling again....getting harder and harder to control, to push back. She opened her eyes, looking at Kayura in a moment of false confidence, "Shall we? I can paralyze them if you like...Sehkmet, be a dear and leave Kayura alone with your threats."

Silence fell upon the room like a heavy anvil. A heavy anvil which made no noise. Kayura stared down Tusuki. Sehkmet stared down Kayura. Batrias stared down Lena. Lena stared down Batrias. Kale held his sides in an attempt to keep from laughing.

"Now!" Kayura shouted.

At the same time, Kayura rushed forward to Tusuki, staff meeting sword while Lena grabbed hold of Batrias' hair and kicked him in the backside.

"That should teach you to mess with cute young girls, old man," Lena said.

Sehkmet charged, trying to land a blow on Kayura's back. His swords found their mark, slicing into Anubis' old armor. Kayura arched her back, helpless against the pain the lanced through her body. Tusuki, seeing an opening, punched Kayura directly in the face. Kayura reeled back, into Sehkmet's arms. All of the sudden, Kayura felt a sword at her neck. She didn't know how serious Sehkmet was about all of this, but she didn't want to take the chance. She grabbed Sehkmet by the back of his head and threw him into Tusuki. Both Tusuki and Sehkmet fell to the floor in a heap. Kayura regained her composure at once and pointed the Ancient's staff at the both of them. The staff shone brightly, and, at the moment that Tusuki and Sehkmet rolled in opposite directions, the staff released an explosion of energy.

Batrias tried to calm himself down, but he had just been kicked in the butt by a girl! He let his eyes focus down the length of his blade as he held it before him, pointing it at Lena. "If you will not choose death for yourself, I will choose it for you," Batrias said.

"As if!" Lena replied.

Batrias brought his heavy white sword down in a cleaving motion, trying to split Lena's skull in half. The sword moved quicker than Lena expected (size was deceiving, after all), but Lena was able to dodge by falling on her back. The Sword of Vengeance buried itself in the floor between Lena's legs. Lena saw, with Batrias leaning down at her, that a red kanji symbol glowed on his forehead. She recognized it as "wrath."

"But how?" She wondered aloud. "How can you be following the virtue of your armor if you're being so cold-blooded?"

"Because my armor is not virtuous," Batrias said. "It merely instructs me on the best way to redress injuries, to get revenge on any person I wish. That is its primary function."

"The One Armor, if it exists," Lena scooted back as Batrias pulled his sword free. "Should be more than that."

"Perhaps it is not," Batrias suggested.

Sehkmet and Tusuki found their feet at the same time, and rushed Kayura at once. Kayura backflipped out of the way and secured the Staff of the Ancients to her back. Then, she drew her starlight swords. When she hit the ground, she linked the swords together and spun them around in a circle.

"Be on your guard," Sehkmet said. "This is when-"

Kayura crouched, the swords seeming to disappear, jumped at her enemies. In midair, the swords reappeared and she said, "Feel the scream of my starlight swords! Star!! Storm!! Scream!!"

Lightning flashed out of nowhere and struck Sehkmet and Tusuki. Tusuki saw an opening, and, despite the pain she felt from the move, jumped in the air to meet Kayura. What Tusuki didn't expect was-

"Black Lightning Slash!" Kale cried out. A rush of void energy hit Tusuki full in the chest. Sehkmet had been downed by Kayura's move, and, as Kayura drifted to the ground, Kale said, "Now is your chance! Escape while you can!"

Tusuki was already getting back up. "It's time to spill your blood, girl," she said.

Kayura was already on the move. She snatched Lena up off the ground, chanted a spell quickly, and disappeared.

"What was that, my warlord Kale?" Tusuki asked.

"That," Kale answered, "Is the beginning of my rebellion against you." And before Tusuki could do anything about it, Kale disappeared.

"Batrias?" Tusuki asked.

"You have no part in this, warlady," Batrias told her. "You are merely a bloodthirsty tyrant who does understand the ramifications of her actions. You are nothing more than the worst parts of your father reincarnated."

Tusuki growled at him.

"I don't understand?" Tusuki almost cackles, "did you watch your people die at the hands of self-rightous warriors? Or watch the only one who ever loved you murdered at the hands of what they created? None of you will ever understand. If you wish to leave, go, I need no help of traitors and weaklings. You will reap your own doom this way."

With that, Tusuki herself is gone, where to is anyone's guess.

Lena blinked in surprise as she was suddenly snatched up by Kayura and taken out of the danger zone. Blinking rapidly, she felt her heart thump, her internal battle and the surprise of the other merging into one. When the teleportation stopped, she slid to the ground, her heart still beating in her chest as if it were a manifestation of the fear she had experianced in mere moments before.

"What did they want you for?" Kayura asked the woman before her. "I haven't known the warlords to act indiscriminately."

She felt...was it anticipation? The sense of a big battle on the horizon? Kayura had an idea that from here on, things would get very tricky indeed.
