"If you'll give me a minute, I need to look over your chart," Dr. Lin says to the redhead, who responds with a nod. The doctor sits down in a chair at the side of the room so that she can look over the chart.
Margem turns to Darian and smiles lightly saying, "And then you had to deal with me almost dying because of the dagger wound and Sanyu's leaving. Luckily you were nearby or else we wouldn't be here together."
--- Kitara and Jay both nod at what Lael has said, agreeing full-heartedly. As Kitara lies down, exhausted, Jay walks over to Lael.
He places a hand on her shoulder, having noticed that she's starting to become very stressed, and says, "Why don't you go find a place to lie down and relax? We'll all deal with this but you need to rest right now."

Lael smiles wearily at Jay. "Thank you. I think I will. It has been a long day, I'm afraid."

"What'd I say?" Darian laughed, "Weird stuff later. I'd say you sharing your body with someone and them leaving qualifies as weird stuff." He sat in a chair near the bed and held Margem's hand, giving it a loving squeeze.

Jay opens the door for Lael so that she can exit the room. Right before they exit, the doctor says, "There's a waiting room right around the corner. Though it says 'family', you can go in there."
The blue-black haired elf nods his thanks to the doctor, holding the door open for Lael. As he escorts Lael to the waiting room, he says, "You are a friend to us, as was your ancestor Lael. We consider you family, even if we just recently met. Now, you need to take care of yourself, Lael. Please, for your sake and for our sanitys' sakes."
----
The redhead smiles with a warm glow, knowing that she is loved and that she returns his love, and says to Darian, "Te j'ame." [A combination derivation of the old Elvish to say "I love you".]
The doctor looks up from the chart. She caught the tone of the sentence but does not know what it means (exactly). She waits for the two to get their attention, to tell them what the chart says and so that she can inform them of which tests she wishes to have done.

"Te j'ame ma," Darian said with a cheeky smile, translating the common human response 'I love you more'. His eyes flick around the room instinctively. The room only has one way out, not an ideal situation. He notices the doctor, quickly spots the chart in her hand and relaxes. "Anyway," he says, switching out of Elvish to Common for the doctor's benefit, "Looks like I'm not your only visitor, and I think the other one's significantly more important than me."

Dr. Lin nods, putting down the chart. "Well, it looks like you should be as healthy as all get out, considering your age. Over two thousand years. Pretty amazing, but then again, it's not too uncommon around here."
Margem had been blushing when Darian had expressed his feelings for her but her attention was taken by the doctor once she started talking.
"Uncommon?" she asks.
The doctor nods and says, "Not to be inconsiderate but our area has many elves and non-human races."
The red head smiles, "Like the Moonleafs? And like Kitara and Jay?"
"Exactly. Now, what might be the main problem? You did have a stab wound a while ago. How did that heal up?"
"Actually, I think that is what might be the cause of the pain as of late... I can't tell, since it's on my back, but..."

"Thank you, Jay," Lael says, following him. "That means a lot to me." She sits in one of the chairs in the waiting room with a tired sigh.
'Oh, Devon, she thinks. 'What are you doing here? What's wrong with you? Why did you leave me, all those years ago? She mentally shakes her head.
'It hardly matters now, she thinks. It's been so many years. I should be worried about the people I'm friends with now, what with everyone so injured... Devon left me for years. I can worry about him in a few days, when I'm sure everyone else is all right. I wonder how Westley is doing... He was so pale...'
After some time of worrying she drifts into a fitful doze.

Drifting in and out of a fog, the tawny male walks through a white world. "Hello?" he asks, trying to figure out what is going on. No one answers and no one appears. A twinge comes to his chest and he falls to his knees, holding his chest with his hand. Pulling his hand away, a red substance connects his hand to his stomach, not allowing him to pull the two parts of him apart from each other. It's not blood.... Per se. Not liquidy enough. But then again, not like muscle. "Hello?! Is anyone out there?!" he cries. Two beings appear in front of him but the fog hides their identities from him. "Hello?" The one, shorter than the other, says with a female voice, "Hold in there. I need you. Please, hold on." The other one, also a female, says, "Hold on. You have many to live for and many things left to do in your life. So, don't let go." Westley starts to recognize the shorter female but his mind can't do it. The pain rises from his chest to his head and he keels over. The shorter female steps forward to stand at his side and places a hand on his head, easing his pain. "Please, fight to stay with me?" He nods, worn out from the fight with the pain, and says (before he passes out), "I will fight for you. I will fight to stay alive."
------
Jay makes sure that Lael is safe in the waiting room before he goes back to his wife. The whole blue-haired elvish curse worries him, considering he's heard that there is a ratio of 5 deaths of every 8 pregnancies of blue-haired male elves. He sighs, knowing that either way he'd be there to support his love - his wife - Kitara.
------
Dr. Lin nods, "And did you get all of the shards out?" The redhead frowns and says, "I think so? But.... Ummmm..... That Rashaden took out that one fragment. I don't know if it was the last one." The doctor nods and says, "Well, let's just do the basic tests - glands, eyes, etc. Then we'll definitely check XRays and go from there. Sound good?" Margem nods. The doctor puts the chart down and steps up so she can check the Mystic's glands.
