I watched the whole series during spring break and I loved it. I cried when Noriko died it was so sad he was such a good characeter. Personally, I like tsuboshi and omeboshi the best they were so cute. crying They died too.

I love Fushigi Yugi! This was my first Shojo series, and I have been hooked ever since! (I also cried when Noriko died. Glad to know I'm not alone.)

I begged for the Fushigi anime series for Chistmas, and my husband said I was completely crazy. He got it for me anyway. True love is a man who will buy you Yuu Watase as a gift! heart

I can't help but think that people tend to put too much emphasis on all the dramatic "Tamahome!"s and "Miaka!"s. It's a total joke with all my friends. Does anyone else think they are too overblown, or is that just a quirk of the people I hang out with? Just curious.

I got the majority of the first Fushigi Yuugi series and the first one of the second. I have to say I really like Tsaki, sorry if I misspelled his name. But I have to say there were two times that was major tear drippers for me, when first of all Nuriko dies by Ashitare and then Hotori dies, sorry again for the misspelling. Then it got worse with Hototori when he wanted to embrace his son. It almost brings me to tears just remembering it off of the video series and combining it with the shojo/ manga version of them. Why did four of the Suzaku Seven had to die?! *in tears* crying

i have to say it was the 1st really long anime that i bought with my hard earned cash and it was well worth it...i bought the Suzaku and the Seiryu box set and i watched it straight for hours and almost a whole day...my family was pissed becuase they walked in and the DVD player was smoking hot...but i couldnt get enough of it.

Well, after Yu killed off nakago, i kinda started straying away from it...but now i'm picking it back up again O_O because i found vol 15 in my bookcase and i didn't read it, and i needed something to read for work, so i picked it up and found myself liking fushigi yuugi all over again! i may pick up and catch up on the rest of the vols...

I agree. they ish way too overblown rolleyes . I cried when Nuriko died, and almost quit the series, so you're not alone. And it hurt even more because I knew what was coming... crying

I loved Fushigi Yuugi so much!
I almost cried while first reading the sixth and seventh
volumes!
I like it because of all the backstabbing going on.
