Kiani was startled when a growl came out of the darkness and a poochyena came out of the shadows. When it noticed Lily, it gave a yelp and got ready for a battle. Lily hissed in return and also prepared for battle. Obviously, Kiani wasn't getting away without a fight. Sighing, she looked at the poochyena and wondered who was going to go first. The two seemed to be sizing each other up first.
It would seem that in many ways the Shieldon was simply too much. In the wake of it's latest attacking the Lunatone would begin to crumble, losing his grip on gravity and falling off the side of their 'battefield'. By the count of five there would be a loud CRACK and the sound of splashing far below.

Maddie began to bounce in agitation as they approached the eating Blitzle. >Oh no, oh no, oh noooooooo,< she murmured as she hopped about in the rain-- though Alice's calming hand on her back would help.
Vorpal glanced between the two electric ponies. >What's up with you and that guy? Someone you know?<
>He's a jerk! He never played any games with me... and he called me imbi... imbek... an idiot! And he used all these hard words because he knows I'm not that smart!< She pouted, pawing the ground in annoyance.
>Hrm...< To be honest, Vorpal didn't particularly care about Maddie's potentially hilarious past. He was still on the fence about the talkative pony, but there was something he was interested in: getting stronger. He was getting a taste for fighting, and he needed to be strong enough to protect Alice. And Alice... he loved her, but she needed to get more used to battling. He knew she wouldn't start any fight on her own, but it was the only way she'd get stronger. >Don't worry, I got this.< He reached his banner into the loose mud, scooped up a ball--
"... Vorpal? What are you--?"
-- and flung it at the Blitzle.

Without any preamble, the Poochyena charged right at Lily, his maw open wide. His teeth shone brightly with flames, and it was clear he intendedd to use a Fire Fang on the newly-caught Litleo. As they were both evenly matched in speed, it was going to simply be a battle of who was more powerful!
Proving to have rather keen aim, the Honedge would manage to pelt the Blitzle with mud just as he turned his head....and nearly knock the glasses off his face! ">GWEH!<" The Pokemon gave a high, nasally cry ">I can't see! Guys? Is that you? This isn't funny!<" He called out in the same tone as his cry, clearly bewildered as he twisted his head about. It would seem they'd caught him off guard. Despite Vorpal clearly being the slower of this two, this would be his opportunity to strike first!
As the battle ended, Jin-Hua felt it might have been wise to catch the Shieldon. The pokemon had done really well against the Lunatone and even leveled up from the experience! It looked like they were reaching the end of the area...and so the girl made a decision. They hadn't found the rock, so it might be best to retrace their steps. This in mind, she recalled the Shieldon to it's pokeball, nodded to Longwei and then started heading back the way they came.

In the Garden of Monsters
Kiani watched the poochyena charge forward and narrowed her own eyes. "Alright then, it's your first battle Lily. Use fire spin." Kiani said, she hoped the fire would deter the poochyena.
traveling down the paht back the way she came, Jin-hua would be able to spot a Woobat hanging upside down from one of the floating rocks. It just seemed to be....watching things.
Still unable to think of a proper name, she began considering her next move. Despite coming pretty far on the island, there were no signs of the evolution stone. Considering her Professor had said she would recognize it when she saw it...she would probably have to actively search for it...
In all her adventures, it was unlikely that Jin-Hua had ever witnessed something like what she was about to see. Just ahead of her, sticking straight out of the middle of the path with a large metal tool ending in three prongs. In short, it was a literal fork in the road. Placing this nonsense aside, to either side of the utensil the path would diverge into two. One side was straight as an arrow and seemed to lead directly to the edge of the crater. The other took a long, strange bend to it, almost certainly longer than the first; though really in such an unstable place who could be sure? Either way Jin-Hua would have to pick which way to go. The short path to the right, or the winding path on the left.
The girl looked first at the large "fork" in the road...how did that, where did it come from--- no, just focus on the path. Glancing at the two separate ways, she knew the shortest road might not be the easiest and thus decided to head towards the long winding path on the left.

(10-1)+(7-6) = 10 / 5 = 2 DMG! (2 DMG to Poochyena for 5 turns) Poochyena is at 14 HP! -1 to Poochyena's accuracy!
The inferno caught the Poochyena in a wild conflagration. He'd be trapped in the battle until one of them won... and it seemed he'd be burning the entire time. He snarled at the Litleo, glaring at her again. Instead of rushing at his opponent, he'd settle for using Leer on her. Hopefully his glare would lower her defense.
