*Theador thought about it, "ummmm... i dont know. He said to solve the puzzles. But just to be carful we can try to get it." He walked back into the store and pointed to the item in the window, "is there any way we can have that? I think thats it!" He nodded. The man shrugged, "we have a few more kiddo. Thats just for show that we have the item." He chukkled and went into an isle and brought it out, " here. Tell you what, free of charge. But just this once." Theador nodded, "Thankyou so much sir." He held it up triumpently, "WE GOT THE FIRST RIDDLE!"

Evelin nodded with a large smile. "All right. We're one step closer to getting the prize." She snatched the paper off him to reach off the next one. "I hope this one was as easy as that one. I mean it didn't take us very long, even if we struggled a bit."

*THe next one read: " In the cracks, nooks and crannys it hides, in the shadow it deprides, becarful where you seek, for it's no place for the weak." Theador blinked, "okay i like that one." He chukkled, "But what store culd that be." He frowned.

Evelin read it over a few more times until she ended up scratching her head in confusion. "Does it have to be a store?" She looked back to her brother. "Dad didn't say that they'd all be stores, did he?"

*Theador thought about it, "no i guess he didn't he said all around the city." He shrugged, "it has something to do with a shadow, so where ever it is, it must be in a place there is a shadow all day." Course this could be easy for Evelin if she tenicly wanted to cheat, using paradioa. However with watchers all around, everyone would then know he served her, including her father he didn't yet know either. It would be quiet a gamble, however he was best at riddles. Theador shrugged, "a tree inthe park?"

Evelin frowned. "I don't think so..." She looked around herself then back to her brother. "Come with me." She grabbed Theodore's hand and started to drag him into a secluded place, or at least as secluded as she could find, as she then crouched them both down and spoke with a whisper. "Para... Paradioa.. can you speak to me without appearing in front of me?" She asked to the air.

*there was a hissing vioce, "if you are within a shadow i can do anything young mistresss..." he answered, "for I am always near by..." Theadors eyes went wide, was this cheating? Using a deamon to help them? Well dad didn't say it was a rule that they couldn't. He smerked.

Evelin looked to her brother excitedly as she then spoke into the shadows again. "We gotta figure out some riddles but we don't know what this one means. Its something to do with the shadows... and it's 'no place for the weak'.." She blinked. "Do you know what it is Paradioa?"

*Paradioa hummed... "indeed i have been paying attention to you since you have entered the city on your own young mistresss... the answer to the riddle you seek is an allieway." Theador smiled, "with him this is going to be way easy." He chukkled.

Evelin frowned to her brother. "We can't use him all the time." She shook her head. "Daddy gave us the challenge so that we'd think about stuff. We can't cheat all the time if we wanna learn." She said with a waggle of her finger before grabbing Theodore's hand again to rush to find the first alleyway they could see. "Could it be something in the alleyway?" She wondered out loud. Just as they approached the first daunting alleyway however Evelin stopped at the sudden screech of a cat. The black feline padded out of the shadows before stopping to stare at them both. "You two shouldn't be in a place like this. What're you doing?" Evelyn questioned with a small frown as the then sat down to tick her tail from left to right.

*Theador smiled and held up the map and riddles, "Daddy gave me and sister a challenge to finish before dark. We have to solve the riddles, and find all the items before it gets dark. They are hidden all around town." He nodded happily and reached out to try and pet Evelyn, "it's been a long time since i've seen you kitty... wha tare you doing out here?" He however forgot to answer his sisters question. Now he was more into Evelyn, hopeing maybe sooner or later he could get a demon like his sister and father, he figured maybe he was doing somthing wrong. But even still he always liked kitty now."

Evelyn pulled a face however let him pet her. "Demons are drawn to dark places." She said with a little snicker, which made Evelin a little uneasy. "That and I come here often. But you don't need to know the details of it, children." She then tilted her head. "So Shortstraw's got you out on an adventure eh?" Evelin looked down into the alley. "Did you see anything stick out down there?" Evelyn looked back into the alley before turning back. "Stick out? No, I don't believe so."

*Theador shrugged, "how many alliways are there?" He seemed happy she alowed him to touch her though, he knew she had a no touching rule. So he considered himself spechal now. "Well since you know the alliways better then us, maybe you can help us find it? I mean... if your not too buisy kitty..." He tryied to give a cute face.

Evelyn rolled her eyes. "Must I? I was in the middle of something. Neither am I the best babysitter. I'll probably manage to drop you guys on your heads without even holding you." Evelin then joined in with the cute face. "Pretty please kitty?" Evelyn seemed to twitch a little before she let out an agitated sigh. "Fine. The alleyways are my speciality, so I suppose I can help you." She glared at them. "But then you'll leave me alone, capiche?" Evelin nodded with a smile. "Yes kitty."

*Theador nodded, "of course kitty! Thankyou." He was always told from his mother to say thankyou for just about anything when someone woudl do somthing just for doing it. However he did tap his bow, to show they actully had weapons for the first time, "ummm... are the alliways dangrious?" He looked to Evelin and signaled her to stay close, "since we came into one I've been getting a chilly feeling... jsut like when we walked out the castle." He nodded however let Evelyn lead, though of course h offered his shoulder incase she wanted him to do the walking while she got to be lazy.
