☽ Emma's ears twitched as she gave an unsure look at Herald. She had gotten very good at reading him over the time they had spent together though there were still occasions where she was just stumped. This was one of those time. She sighed then "If you say so." ☾

Never Again...Herald looked down at Emma, seeing her confusion. He pulled her up to eye level before kissing her. "Don't worry about it," he told her, though he honestly couldn't say he wasn't. Will I be bound in chains

Never Again...Herald leaned back, looking up at the ceiling and folding his hands behind his head. There would certainly be a lot going on in the future. He didn't know whether or not they would have kids, but if they did, Herald would make sure they didn't grow up without parents. Will I be bound in chains

Never Again...Herald looked down at Emma when he heard her question. After a moment he shook his head. "No," he replied. "The first thing I remember is the orphanage and-" he cut off suddenly. There were two other people there....he was sure of it. But...he couldn't remember their faces. Or their names. He closed his eyes as he tried to picture them but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't. They were his friends...weren't they? The memories were fuzzy, but he had been sure for a moment.... "And other children," he said finally. "Do you remember your family?" He asked in return. Will I be bound in chains

☽ Emma listened to Herald quietly before she frowned slightly as he asked her the same question in return. It wasn't directed at him more as it was towards her own memory. A lot of it was jumbled up, it was one of those tricks the scientists used on her and the others. "I remember two people... and a large field with a tree..." she started "I think those were my parents and that place had something to do with my home but everything is fuzzy and I can't see their faces. I only clearly remember..." she trailed off and shook her head then, opening her eyes as if she could see too much in her head. "I think I had a family at one point. They are dead though." ☾

Never Again...Herald nodded. "You have memories of your home then?" He asked. He had no idea where his family were, though it was obvious to him that they hadn't cared about him too much. Not that that mattered to him now. "The scientists tried to take away your memories, but you have them regardless," he told her with a small smile. Will I be bound in chains
