ξllery Ѧdvimi ~~~ About an hour and a half later, Ellery finally walked through the front door, holding Daniel's hand with one hand and carrying his backpack with the other. He smiled softly at his chattering child, who was excitedly talking about what he was planning to do with his cool new big sister, but when they walked inside, Ellery made sure to hush the child. " Fredrich?" he called, gesturing for Daniel take his shoes off and bring his things to his room before bonding with his new sister.

ξllery ѦdvimiWalking over, Ellery took his son's hand once more and paused in the entryway into the living room. " Daniel, this is Charlotte. Charlotte, this is Daniel, your brother." He carefully led him over to the young girl, the little redhead clinging to his mother's hand. He looked up at Ellery, then to the girl. " Go on, say hello," urged the man, letting go of his hand and gently pushing him towards her. " Hi," he muttered, holding out his hand for her to shake.

In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up.Charlotte stared at the boy for a while, then at his hand, then up at Fredrich. He nodded, and she looked back at her brother and shook his hand. " Hello," she greeted stoically. " You are also Daddy's child?" she mused. Meanwhile, Fredrich got up and made his way to Ellery's side. " Kenneth told her many things about me while growing up, so she holds me in high regards," he said. " Apparently she wanted to meet me for a very long time." Without proof, you'll never catch me. ................................................................................................

ξllery Ѧdvimi" Kinda," he replied, taking his hand away after a moment and tilting his head. " Mommy and Daddy met me, and liked me so much that they adopted me. Is Daddy your real daddy?" he asked, eyes wide. His friend's mom had told him that gay couples can't have kids the normal way, so how was Charlotte born? He was amazed. Ellery moved a little away from the kids, crossing his arms and shaking his head. " And they never contacted you before now?" he asked, eyes on the children.

In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up.Realizing that Daniel wasn't actually her father's child, Charlotte showed clear disinterest and turned away, rather looking at the violin. " Yes. Did Daddy adopt you because he wanted a child?" She gave him a sideways glare. " Because I'm his real child, so you don't need to be here anymore." " No," Fredrich answered. " I talked to him a couple days after shooting his sister. He wanted to raise Charlotte as his own, telling me it was like a new start for him and that he'd give her the life he never got. He begged me to keep her, and I was happy to oblige. Now it looks like the price of a child got to be too much for him." Without proof, you'll never catch me. ................................................................................................

ξllery ѦdvimiDaniel took a step back, confused by why she would say something like that. He thought for a minute, then spoke. " Why would you say something so mean? I'm being nice to you. Why are you being mean?" he confronted her. The man grew quiet, connecting thoughts in his head as he realized something. " So how long have you known about her?" he asked, not looking at Fredrich. " How long have you known you had a daughter?" His voice grew quieter.

" You're just someone he picked up. You won't even look like him. You don't belong here," she hissed the last part. " A year," the detective answered, arms crossed. " What good would telling you have accomplished? I planned to leave her with Kenneth, and you left later on." ξllery ѦdvimiDaniel clenched his fists, remembering that his mother had always taught him not to give in to bullies, but he couldn't just take this. " They picked me. They want me. Daddy and Mommy signed papers saying they wanted me. But you were an accident, and Daddy's stuck with you. I belong here more than you ever will." He raised his chin. " You're just jealous because Daddy loved me enough to choose to keep me." He turned towards his parents, walking over to them and tugging on Fredrich's shirt. The songwriter wasn't sure what to say, or really how to react. Was this really worth the fight? " Fredrich, I came back." He stopped himself. He lowered his eyes, and before this could turn into an argument, quashed his usually fiery spirit and decided to just let it go. " I'm going to start on dinner." He turned and started towards the kitchen.

In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up." They wanted a child. And now they have one, a real one," Charlotte pointed out, pausing when she saw him run to Fredrich. She bristled and quickly hopped on her feet, running over and using her small hip to bump Daniel out of the way and tug on her dad's shirt. Fredrich exhaled through his nose. He could see both sides to this argument. There wasn't necessarily a wrong side, but it would still need time to digest and for them to talk about it. All they did was discuss. It wasn't much better than arguing. Ellery stayed here for fear of getting hit by an assassin, there wasn't any love to it. Fredrich sighed. Was this even worth it? Feeling tugs at his shirt, he looked down to see both children wanting his attention. " What is it?" he asked, bending down to pick them up, one arm holding up one child. He looked back and forth between them, giving them a tiny smile. " Have you two gotten along?" Without proof, you'll never catch me. ................................................................................................

" Charlotte said you don't want me anymore now that you have a real kid and that you're gonna send me back and that I don't belong here and when I tried to tell here that you picked me so you want me, she said you want a real kid and not me and please don't send me back Daddy, please!!" He sniffled, huge snot bubbles dripping out of his nose as fat tears rolled down his cheeks.

" You're here because you're my son and I love you." He turned to look at Charlotte, who puffed her cheeks angrily. He wanted to be stern with her, but couldn't help but chuckle, " You're definitely my daughter." She looked at him and perked (however much her emotionless face would allow). " Charlotte, you need to be nice to your brother. He's your brother and he's here to stay, okay?" Charlotte crossed her arms angrily, but didn't want to go against her father's wishes. " Fine," she grumbled. Without proof, you'll never catch me. ................................................................................................
