"H-Hey what are you--" He panicked as he was hoisted up by the collar and chucked into the portal, unable to finish the sentence he crash landed into his mother's room with a loud OOF.
Damn that Theus, one of these days.. he tought rubbing his sore bottom as he groggily stood.
He reconized the room and froze, his entrance probably woke his mother up since she was a light sleeper. Oh man, why did Theus do that? He would get an earfull from her, still why did she want him so suddenly?
Didn't they have a deal? Didn't she want him to finish school? Sure she could easily, and magically, help him back into school once he was all done with his task, but sometimes Jack would wonder what was the point?
Relizing his bag wasn't with him, he heard a noise and looked up having it smash land into his face knocking him in the head. "Ouch!! Dammit Theus!" he said in pain rubbing his forehead.

The noise brought Ursula out of her sleep, as well as an axe thrown in Jack's direction. She not only kept one in her purse, but also underneath her pillow! Had she not look first and thrown second, things could had been much different.
"Jack?! Oh I'm so sorry! You're probably wondering why I have that too..." She said rather timidly, she nearly cut down her own son! She got out of bed, having wearing a nightgown and began to hug and kiss him. She really cared for the wellbeing of her son, but this wasn't unusual of her either. "What are you doing here? It should had taken you a bit longer to get here."

Thanks to Theus's training he managed to dodge and watch as the axe struck one of the knight statues in the chest. Poor inatimate soldier, it didn't see it coming.
Looking back wide-eyed, he was glomped by a night gown and blushed. "M-M-M-Mother please.." he said softly. Looking into her eyes he wrapped his arms around her and smiled giving her cheek a kiss. "I see your still as sharp as a tack." he said warmly to her allowing her to snuggle all over him.
They rarely got to share small mother and son moments like this, so Jack closed his eyes, laid his head upon her shoulder and allowed them to have that small family moment before answering her question.
"Theus teleported me, heh, by express.." he said as blushing shyly he gently pulled away from her. Crossing his arms he gave her a worried look. "Mother, why have you summoned for me? I thought we had an agreement? Didn't you want me to finish school?" he asked sort of still very confused. Yet he couldn't stay mad at her, Ursual was special to him, she was the only mother he had, or knew of.
True he was shocked when she finally told him that she had found him as a baby, but as far as Jack was concerned, Ursula was his one and only mother.

Ursula ignored the pleas of her son. It wasn't everyday she could actually be a mother to him. Part of her missed the years of him being a child she could hold in her arms. She didn't struggle with him once he moved away from her.
"Theus?" She said curiously. She didn't believe in the one he called Theus, thinking of him to be some imaginary friend. "Maybe I ought to start believing in Theus." She muttered underneath her breath. "Well, you see son, there are some things that you must know now. I need you here or else there won't be a school to finish." She sat on the end of the bed, patting it as an invitation to follow her.
"Jack, you being a child I found that faithful isn't the only secret I've kept from you. I'm not just a chef at C4, I'm a maiden. Retired, but that means nothing these days. What that means is I'm a guardian for a very special kind of person, Pandora Vessels. You read about them in class many times by now, right? They aren't as much of a myth as you may think." She then pointed over towards to the knight. "That also explains the axe."

He took a seat and listened patiently. Jack's jaw dropped, it would have hit the floor if it were longer. Ursula was...a maiden? Impossible! Yet, she didn't lie to him. Once she was finished he looked down at his hands.
"Wow..that's a lot to digest...so you were a maiden that had one of those Pandora things living inside of you?" he asked now looking into her face. "So they are real after all...I kind of had always thought they were..." he added biting his lip.
"To think my own mother was a warrior..I...I'm a little hurt you never mentioned this to be before, b-but..to me you will always be the kind woman who took care of me when my real family abandoned me. To be honest, except for you chucking at axe at me, it's a little hard to believe that a sweet and gentle women used to be a maiden?" this was going to take some time to sink into his mind. Apparantly she had a good throwing arm too.

Ursula began to laugh. "Well, it doesn't surprise me that you may have thought they were. After I told you those bedtime stories, you thought every pregnant woman may have been one. Those stories were real too, stories of me, Newarva, Trish, Mel'Nala, Eleanor and the others really had those things happen to us. Even the Phantom Kraken." She explained to her son.
"I'm sorry I never told you, but it was for your own safety, I'm happy that you think so highly of me. As for your real family, I'll always be that to you." She gave him another, albiet much shorter hug. "But there's more to be said, now that you know that the Pandora are real so are the Phantoms, and the Dark Pandora. I know you have that sword and have been practicing with it, I hope I didn't have to think this, but you will have to use it."
She gave him a stern look, placing her hand on his shoulder. "You have a gift, and now it's high time you have a purpose for it. I need you to fight alongside the others of your generation. There is an evil that must be stopped and while I know I'm asking for much, but can I count on you?"

An embarassing blush was on his face when she laughed and mentioned his younger days. Closing his eyes he smiled, of course he had always thought ever pregnant woman he was was a maiden. Mainly because his mother told the best stories and everything. So those other women were real and Ursula's friends no doubt. Jack wondered if he'd ever meet any of them one day.
Then she got really stern, and this caused him to open his eyes. Touched he gently took his mothers hand and looked at her tenderly. "Mother, for you I would walk over an ocean of lava. Alright, I will do what I can!" he said giving her a nod of confidence.
"I'll do the best I can to make you proud! I promise!" he said now standing in front of her his hands on her shoulders. "Oh, and I love you Mother. I'm sorry I don't say that as much as I used to..I-I just...it's complicated. Will I ever meet the other maidens? Heck do they know about me?"
Gosh he was so curious all of a sudden. She could tell in his eyes that he had so many questions now. 'His generation?' were there others like himself? There had to be! Would he ever meet them though? Or would he be fighting for his mother alone? Oh so many questions!

Ursulla began to smile, her boy was all grown up now, that's for sure. Then he said he loved her, adding blush to the list of things she was doing. "Thank you, Jack. You have already made me proud, I love you too." She then took one of his hands. "You don't have to tell me, but I should clear this up. What I am is a Maiden. We are guardians and midwives to the Marked ones that we call Vessels. You can't miss those, they are the pregnant ones." She explained to him once more. So much to learn and so little time.
"I know I have a mark too, just like you do. But the kind I have is a Maiden's Bloodline Mark. It's different, it passes on from one female family member to another, the vessels get their marks directly from the Pandora that chooses them. Yours, I don't know what's with yours though. You're as much of a Mystery as Lancelot's. Boys don't normally get marked..."

Imira giggled and smiled. "Thank you Terrel." She would say to her child. She looked over to Newarva when she came into the kitchen and waved some. "yeah they have." She responded, taking a moment to pat her belly."You look tired, if you want I can make something for you while I'm making stuff for the others." She said. She waddled over to her, leaving what she was currently making at the moment. "what would you like?" She asked.

He nodded listening to his Mother, but tilted his head in confusion when another young man's name came up. "Lancelot?" he asked. Jack had never heard of that man before. Perhaps they had met, but Jack was always so focused on getting a good education that he never really payed much attention to the world around him.
Still being 'special' kind of made him feel so strange. Maybe his mother was a maiden as well? "Will I meet Lencelot?" he asked turning hit attention back to Ursulla.

"You'll meet him soon. He's another male with a mark, Newarva's kept an eye on him." She looked into Jack's face and then turned towards the door to her room. "In fact, why don't I introduce you to everyone?" She rose up from the bed and walked out the room, motioning for her son to follow her to the girl's bedroom where Saya, Kelanthra and Ardeval were. Ursula calmly opened the door, seeing that everything was calmed as she left it. "Saya, Kelanthra, Ardeval, I have someone I'd like you all to meet." She turned to Jack and pulled him over. His face "smushed" between her arm and breasts. "This is my son, Jack." --------------- Newarva smiled softly at the other, rounder elf. She was happy that she was willing to prepare something for her too, but Newarva didn't think herself that tired. "Just a coffee would you please, Imira." She asked with a yawn, maybe she was more tired than she thought after all. "Don't let the looks fool you. I'm getting to old for this."

Saya nestled herself near a window where she was relatively secluded from the others. She looked outside without really seeing the scenery and heaved a heavy-hearted sigh. Kela would need her back in there soon, she spared what time she could to allow them to be alone. It was then that her stomach growled loudly, bringing her back to reality with another garbled sighed. When was the last time she had eaten?
She crossed her arms and rocked back and forth on the heels of her feet, wasting a few more moments of time before traveling back down the hallway. She would have to pass Kela's room to get back to where they came in and find a kitchen, it was a good way to see if she had a little more time; plus she could ask if Kela and Ardy wanted something as well.

Jack blushed. He hated when his mother smooshed him with her busty figure. Sometimes he wondered if she did it on purpose to see his reaction. Apparantly there were supposed to be three girls or something in the room she led him too, yet he couldn't see because he was trapped in his mother's soft grip.
When she finally let him go he tumbled to the ground comically now looking up at everyone with a kind of embarassed face. "N-Nice t-to meet you all.." he said feeling like a total idiot. Thanks for the nice first impression mother!

"Oh, Ursula, Saya stepped out." Mentioned Ardeval, he looked at the other guy tumble to the floor. Looked like he was stuck in her cleavage prior to that. "Nice to meet you, Jack." He walked over to him and went to shake his hand. Ursula looked around. Huh, she wondered where that girl went, probably to give these two some alone time. "Oh, I see. Jack get up, it's rude."

He sighed standing up. Shaking the man's hand he smiled. "It's a pleasure to meet you!" he replied happily kind of ignoring his mother's comment. He was a bit shy yet he hoped the other guy had something more interesting to say.
Since Ursulla wanted Jack to herself, he hadn't much time alone with people. Sure there was school, but it seemed like she did her very best to make him a 'Momma's Boy.'
Why was she still in the room anyway?
