Last day of the fishing rounds couldn't have come any sooner. As relaxing as it was, the reek of dead sea life was starting to linger and Talymn was eager to put this stage show behind him.

His performance insofar as a sport fisherman was average at best.
Also, the term 'sport fisherman' sounded like an oxymoron. Pretty sure the dictionary defined 'sport' as more than sitting around and waiting for opportunity to bite the line.

Even if the rewards are on the puny side. He watched the little sardine flail about on his hook before grabbing it with a gloved hand. Effortlessly, he removed the fish and threw it back into the water where it would probably just get eaten by something else. Whatever, at least it might help attract some of the big'uns.
