Eumi's whole form was sloppy. It was a sort of stutter in her step when her thoughts caught up with her as her impending attack nearly stabbed Karin in the back. What am I doing, she thought in horror. She couldn't stop herself though. She wanted to take revenge for everything that had happened. She witnessed a mass murder, was clawed in the back, killed a demon with her own hands, had come face to face with a powerful demon, and now she'd seen evidence that Caligon had slipped through her fngers forever. Karin was beautiful, and Caligon had loved her for a long time. She had no chance. Why does it have to be like this?

In practically an instant, Caligon suddenly moved. He whipped out from under Karin and stood in Eumi's path. Eumi's eyes widened. No, move. I don't want to hurt you. Her thoughts raced, but she couldn't connect to her body. Her rage was controlling her. As her knife went forward, straight for Caligon, she closed her eyes, squeezing tears out.

Then she felt a strong slap. Her weapon flew out of her hand and skidded over the floor. She stumbled forward as Caligon spun around her. She barely had time to feel a flash of relief before Caligon had her by the collar, yanking her out of the room with a seething apology and a glare. Eumi roze up, seeing his eyes for a moment. They were narrowed in a chilling death glare. Eumi had never been on the recieving end of that glare before, but now it chilled her bones. He dragged her out of the room, where a spark of anger suddenly took control of her again. "Let go! I'll kill you! Just-ARGH!" She snarled and howeled loudly down the hall at him while he ignored her and the occupants of the hospital parted, sharing disturbed glances.

Caligon eventually let her go on the roof, when she'd ran out of steam. She sunk down on her hands and knees, her head downcast in shame. "What's up?" he asked her as a therapist would. Eumi stayed silent for a full, long, heavy minute. The mood got worse and worse as seconds ticked by, and Eumi was frightened of what she'd say. What if she ran her mouth in anger again? She'd already obliterated her friendship with Caligon as she knew it. Things had picked up for a single moment when he'd defended her from the demons hordes earlier, but now their string was shattered. All she needed was confirmation.

It just slipped out. Her deadened voice accused, "You hate me."

Caligon twitched in the silence. He knew she hadn't meant what she said about killing him, but she had never joked around with those kinds of words before. What happened to her? Was she okay? Was this really his fault? These questions swam around in his head as the seconds ticked by and right then she finally spoke up. And it made Caligon burst into hysterics. Not that he was cruel and enjoyed watching people suffer, because the idea that he could ever hate someone, especially his best friend, was laughable. Extremely so at that. "That's the funniest thing I've heard since I got my ears back!" Caligon howled mid laughter. He was so busy rolling around, he fell off the little platform he was on and landed on his feet, still holding his sides. "So tell me, in all honesty, how did you ever come up with that ridiculous hypothesis?"

Eumi wasn't sure what she should have expected, but at that moment the last thing she had anticipated was the absolute histerics he fell into. Eumi watched, openly struck dumb as hefell backwards, howling in mirth. Slowly, Eumi's mouth parted, her eyebrows drew together and she took a haughty breath. "What's so-"

"That's the funniest thing I've heard since I got my ears back!" he interupted. He was rolling over in a fit ontop of the little protrusion. caligon even collapsed off of the platform, managing to barely get his feet under him before he hit the ground. He hugged his side like he was about to burst. "So tell me, in all honesty, how did you ever come up with that ridiculous hypothesis?" he inquired, like she had never set off his death glare, or accused him of murder.

"How could you not, Caligon!" she shouted, suddenly exploding. "I've been a psychotic b***h! I just attacked your girlfriend! I can't just give up on you like a normal person would!" She scrambled up and marched forward like she was about to go on a rampage. She tripped right up to him, leaning into his face, her eyes red and on the brink of a flood. "How can you not hate me!? It would be so..." She choked over a lump in her throat and backed off a step to rub her eyes. "...so...so much...*sniff*...easier if you did...Because I'm crazy and you should be sick of it by now, so just tell me flat out." She rubbed her eyes clear and stared up at him. The words were on her lips. I Freaking love you, Cal. However, she couldn't take that final step. She was afraid she'd step off that cliff. He already loved Karin.

Caligon stopped his chuckles and giggles almost immediately when Eumi yelled at him. He straightened up as well, knowing that this was serious and not the time to be joking around as she continued on her rant. She was bringing up very valid points as to why he should hate her though. But, Caligon wasn't that kind of person. Hate had never been a thing he had done for more than a few minutes. He looked her dead in the eye as she said all of this, with a straight face and no emotion showing in his eyes. He cracked though when he saw her tears. 'Well there goes trying to remain neutral.' He thought as he opened his arms wide. "Come on then. This is a once in a lifetime offer I'm giving you. Not everyday the might Caligon gives out hugs." If she truly knew him he didn't bother saying things that didn't matter to him, which is why he didn't touch on the psychotic and girlfriend almost stabbing comments she made. Although... "I have to wonder... What exactly did you mean by 'giving up on me'?" He asked with a puzzled expression.

xxxxxxxCole cringed as she read through Kin's worries, not so much because of the contents, but because it seemed these events had absolutely devastated him. He was shivering even just thinking about it. That was it. Cole had had it. "Kin," she cleared her throat, standing him away from her so she could look him in the eye, "It seems like you're gonna have to learn to buck up, and fast." She pointed to Royce, "This kid, whatever his name is, has obviously been through some rough stuff. So have the rest of us, and apparently someone thought it would be a good idea to cram us all into a school and expect us to be able to handle it. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like their plan quite worked that way." Cole's fist clenched as she remembered the yako-kitsune attack, "But right now there are bigger problems, and a whole lot more people could die in the future if we're not prepared. Do you understand? We have to be..." she cringed at the word she was about to use, but swallowed her pride and quickly muttered, "...a team."
xxxxxxxAfter this little speech, Cole could feel her face burning with embarrassment for two reasons. First: the boy that Kin so feared was merely a murderer, and yet he trusted her--the assassin. Second: she had never ever worked on a team. She had always done everything alone. Received the order, done the research, done the tracking, done the deed, and done the cleanup. She could already tell this was going to be an uncomfortable fit, but her attachment to Kin had bound her here. There was no running away until she knew he could take care of himself.

As usual, while Eumi kicked his a** at arguing about why she was the lowest scum in the world, Caligon watched her, eye to eye, and stone faced. He was grounded, so good at being neutral that no one but a mind reader would be able to have the dimmest clue as to what he was thinking. Eumi's imagination as to what was going on in his head went wild.

When she got the chance to be quiet at the end of her short, loud rant, Caligon's grim statue-like face broke into care. He spread his arms out wide to her, and before he'd even finished his welcome, Eumi plunged into the hug crankily. She grimaced, then bore her teeth in a vain attempt to smother a sobbing chuckle. This was so like Caligon. First you think he's mad, then he goes and hugs you.

"I have to wonder... What exactly did you mean by 'giving up on me'?" The moment ruined by Eumi's embarassment, she stiffened in his arms and sniffled her tears away, rubbing her cheeks, which were once again noticabley smudged black.

Idiot. "What do you think? My title as the coolest...female friend was stolen by Karin. And you just love distract hordes of demons for your friends, how do you expect me to teach you how to be a proper gentleman." She laughed it off, feeling melancholy inside and pressing her steaming face against his chest for a second or two so she could down, so Caligon wouldn't see her insane blush. Of course she wouldn't confess now. She peeled herself reluctantly from Caligon and wiped her eyelids, pouting in distaste at the black resedue. "Ugh, you really did a number on me this time, Cal. I'll let you off, though, if you apologize to Karin for me. I didn't mean to whip out a scalpel, it just happened." She grinned haf heartedly at him.

Kin's ears pressed down low against his head and a defeated look came across his face when she told him he had to learn to "buck up". Pun aside it was a crushing thing to hear. He shared one of his greatest fears with one of the people he thought he could trust the most, and all she could tell him was to deal with it? Was it really that crazy to think the mentally unstable murderer was dangerous? Kin really was alone here after all. He looked down, hiding his face, and nodded feebly as she went on about how everyone had problems and that the school was a disaster, things he allready knew. But when she continued he looked up at her, completely lost at this point.

Cole what are you talking about?

he wrote. What bigger problems? What was she talking about, and how did she know about whatever it was.

A team? Cole this is just a school. Your talking as if we're some kind of army or something

he added under what he first wrote. For some reason Cole was blushing, something that once again made absolutely no sense. Kin slowly cocked his head to the side, now completely and utterly lost.

|| ----Royce Siegman Johnathen----||
-"The man responsible for the most interesting and confusing night this school's ever seen is BACK, baby!"-

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗

((Alrighty, this bit is a story builder, so you can skip this bit if you don't have the time/patience/both, though It's probably a good idea to at least skim through it when you get the time/patience/both.)) Royces head was claggy and fogged from the blow to the head, only just now waking up from the impact. "*groan*... God damn, what the hell hit me?" "I believe you were hit by a Deer... or was it a boy?" Royce looked to the direction of the voice and saw... himself? No, this person wasn't him, his voice was much too twisted. He also noticed that the floor wasn't tiles and there were no walls... or roof. Or sky. Hell, everything was black, but with the way they appeared it was as if the lighting was perfect. "Eh, I forget. Both titles seem to fit Kin perfectly-" "Shut up, Johnathen. We're not here to discuss different breeds of intelligent beings." Again, he turned to the voice and saw himself, this time jumping to his feet. "What the... what's going on? Johnathen?... so, you two are-" "Bingo! Jono and Sage, in the flesh." Royce looked at them carefully, and noticed a different eye-colour in each: Johns being a prominent ruby, while Sages being a brilliant sapphire-blue, each very deep and rich in tone like his own emerald green eyes. "... I don't get it, why am I here?" "Because you lost it and flipped, and I can't understand why. See, I may have been responsible for defending myself from-" "Murdering." Sage was very stern in tone, John pausing himself on the spot for a moment. "... not if it's justified. As I was saying, defending myself against more than 50 people, 30 of which dying in the process, you single-handedly decimated more than 200. Two hundred! And you weren't even trying-" "I can see where you and I are going with this, and we aren't the same." Johnathen laughed and walked up to him.

"How the ******** not??? You threw more than 2'000 flashbangs- 9-bangs, at that, at a group of people with hearing dogs would be jealous of! That's like setting off the sound of 18'000 jet-fighters right next to their super, highly-sensitive sound sniffers!" "His intent was non-lethal." Sage brought himself into the equation, also walking up to Royce. John sagged his head, annoyed that the more pure spirited person interupted. "Sure about that? He knew that they had sensitive hearing and still he chose that particular grenade and that particular amount of people to throw them into the air." Royce pushed the crimson-eyed boy away, aggression in his eyes. "I didn't take that into account. I had a small window of time and they had intent to kill Eumi and Caligon and Kin." John laughed heavilly, making Royce even more pissed. "John, you're pathetic. Do you really think that killing everyone will keep Royce safe?" "Of course! When everyone who hates you is dead, then no-one will want to hurt him!" The argument began to escalate between Sage and Johnathen, much to Royces confusion. It was like these two were his conscience, John being the dark, with Sage being the light. "And what of his friends? They'll all lose faith in him and distance themselves." John moved into Sages face, his tone of voice now resembling that of a madman. "Their loss. Besides, there's always chance to make new friends, friends who understand him, friends... that are just as disturbed. By the way, Roycie, I'm yet to understand why you blame yourself when I as the one who did the actual killing." Royce looked like he wanted to kill this man, but he held himself back. "There are other ways to solve a dispute. Royce attempted to do so with non-lethal for-" "Don't feed me that bleeding heart crap, Sage, these guys had all the intent to kill him and everyone on the island." "That doesn't mean-" John jumped in, a devious smile on his face. "What? That they didn't have to die? You seriously think these guys had the resources to deal with more than 200 fully capable warriors before they woke up? You seriously think that we could deal with that without casualties like Royces friends, Really?" Sage had a good poker face going, but Royce just listened intently. What he was saying actually made perfect sense. "So you look me in the eye and say, to my face, that I'm wrong. Do you really believe that Royce could have thought of a new, better plan within the space of a couple seconds without Eumi and the others dying? I don't now about you, but what he did, even accidental, was needed. It's a damned shame that the boy didn't enjoy killing them, but hey: I'm disturbed." Johns voice was more informative than sociopathic, the intent falling more into aggressive reasoning than anything. Sage sat silent, simply staring at the crimson eyed boy. Royce couldn't believe it, but he agreed with John. The one who single handedly made his life immensely difficult. What he said put his mind at ease, even if it was only remotely, but it helped. Not just about the kitsunes, but about the event of last night, too. The group that attacked Royce and took Aura into the fight made it so that there was no chance blood couldn't be spilled. While many died, they were all people that wanted nothing more than to make life on the island difficult, -that- was why not many thought so badly of the event. They were a school gang that made a living off of killing students for SC and items of value. "So, The green eyed boy snapped out of his trance, looking John in the eye. "I'll take over for a while and explain some things to everyone- and before you start, no. I won't hurt anyone unless they actually start something first. No killing, no death, nothing but bone-breaking and survivable injuries." "And why would we believe you?" He laughed at Sages remark, placing his hands behind his head relaxingly. "I like blood and death, and all the horrors of the world, but actually -dying- ain't high on my list." And with that, Royce just stared at Johnathen, completely confused: he actually had a mind and thought some things through... though it was obviously very twisted in comparison to him and Sage.

As RoycesJohnathens eyes opened, his emerald green eyes only squinted open. It was almost immediately after Cole first snapped at Kin for shunting Royce into the wall. The mental conversation Royce and his personas only lasted a couple seconds in the real world. After a while, Johnathen had enough of pretending to be silent and unconscious, and swiftly sat up. "You know, the little fox-girl's right." He paused for a moment to get a look of the girl, recalling what was said before the wall got a little too friendly. "Now, the boy you were talking earlier to was a fear-ridden and confused Royce Siegman, step-son to an ex-detective turned club-bouncer. Me, however, I'm on a temporary release from the depths of his mind, but I'm not Johnathen or Sage... call me Alex." Johnathen changed his tone and vernacular to hide his identity: the thing about this boy was he was sly and knew how to change the way he was percieved by people, a trait that Royce nor Sage possessed. He more or less used this to piss people off and get advantages in a fight, but in this case it was to settle a few points and some confusion. He took a stand and walked over to the bed, taking a seat on the end. "How about we talk about last night: It'll give the pair of you an idea of the three and what they're like."

Karin laughed as Caligon remarked about how she had contradicted herself with her statement, but looked at him for a moment in slight confusion. Oh right, he was with that demon and what's-his-face when this happened. "Well, the entire thing was-" The screaming of Eumi caught the girl off guard, and she was shocked for a second to see her walking over with a scalpel, a deathly glare in her eyes... aimed at her. Eumi was pissed at her. She wanted to kill her. But why? What did she do to deserve something like this? She was completely frozen in the moment, unable to believe that someone wanted her blood. Thankfully, Calligon made a move and smacked the weapon out of her hand, then begin dragging her outside. Wait... that face looked... oh crap, he's- "Cal, stop!" Karin thought this girl was going to get burned like Liaras brother: nothing more left than a pile of ash. She made after him and got to the roof-top entrance to the hospital before stopping. There wasn't any fire. Or heat. Or... any aggression at all. Caligon was talking to her. Does he know her personally or something? What was her name... Emma, Lemmy- Eumi, that's it. She didn't go out right away, rather listening to the entire conversation. As it wore on, she found out that this girl was also in love with Caligon, and with the recent events that kind of discovery would send anyone over the edge. How often do you start to care for someone and then, out of the blue, a new girl you've never met before happens to waltz in and just snatch them away from you, then just pretend you never had feelings for that person? Never. When she finally ended up getting it together, the girl said that she wanted Caligon to pass on an apology to her. Perfect opportunity to move in and get an understanding of the situation. "Are you sure you should be apologising?" Karin made her way onto the roof from the entrance, a look of apology on her features. "There's no need to worry about the whole B-grade horror-movie moment. You've been through the bad side of hell these last couple days, with scars to prove it too, and seeing... well..." She stopped herself, no wanting to reignite another hell-storm. "... what I'm getting at is that you don't need to apologise."

Damien watched as Shikori and Namihana gained a good amount of ground on the attacker, sending the man and his familiar flying in the opposite direction. The headmaster, however, was simply brushing dust off of his jacket and seemingly unharmed or even phased. "Very impressive. I actually had to turn my head to stop the dust getting in my eyes." Anaru brought up good point as he stood up, bringing a smile to his face. "Well, it's not every day you see a pair of students of this calibre going against a fully grown demon... but since they're students, I guess I should make an exception." He opened the box of pencils and took them out, the contents making their way into the air through telepathy. Then, like an arrow, one shot at Xerex... and shattered into splinters against his armour. Then, another striking exactly the same spot, performing the exact same result as before. And another. And another, then they all started firing at him, striking the exact same spot over and over again. But even when all were spent, the armour was barely even dented. "... well, so much for that plan." He spoke very non-chalently, examining the graphite and wood-splinters that now covered the uncles armour and body.

╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

-"Only one problem, though: security's got the tightest hold on me that you could have, and one wrong move would send me right back, followed by the other two. Aww well, take it as it comes, right?"-

Caligon Ryzer-Neko

Caligon smiled softly as she refused to tell him what was really wrong. But if she wanted to play it off, so could he. "A true man doesn't care about himself as much as he cares for others, ya know what I mean? I'm not one for self-preservation. Sorry about your wings by the way. I had to use my summoning spell and I couldn't draw out enough magical power to stop that thing..." Caligon's voice was filled with contempt for himself. He then realized that when she cried she got makeup everywhere, and he looked down at his shirt when she peeled herself off of him. "Let me go? If this shirt were any color but black I would've had a problem with you!" He laughed as Karin finally walked on to the roof. He had heard her footsteps walking up the stairs.

When Karin walked in and spoke up, Cal smiled to himself. He loved hearing that voice. "I was wondering when you were going to come up here." He draped an arm over Eumi's shoulders and turned himself around to face her. "You need a hug too?" He asked jokingly, trying to get rid of the serious atmosphere and just have fun for once. Ever since he got here it's been mostly drama. "I'm giving them out today for free, I'll have you know!" he chuckled as the light in his eyes told her to just go with it. Hopefully she did.

xxxxxxx...just a school...talking as if we're some kind of army... Cole frowned, making facetious air quotes as she spoke, "Just a school? I don't know what memo you got, but this sure as hell ain't just a school." A little exasperated, she decided to be as honest as time would allow. "The whole purpose of this school is to mix angels, demons, and humans into one big freakshow so we all feel like we belong." Cole snarled, getting a little sarcastic, "Obviously it's a huge failure. But Kin, you're forgetting. I'm a demon. Not too long ago I was a really bad demon...and I've done things I'm not proud of..."
xxxxxxxShe would have continued, but at that moment, a shift in the redhead's aura startled her. She had never felt anything like it before. For even the briefest of moments, it felt as though she were detecting three separate beings in the same space. But that's a paradox...that's not possible, she thought, completely distracted from what she was about to say. She didn't get a chance to continue anyway, as the boy stood up and rattled off a fairly lengthy introduction. "Alex," she said blankly, as that was all she had really gotten from it, "I'm Cole. And yes, please do go on about last night." She glanced at Kin momentarily, and returned to face Royce, one eyebrow raised curiously, "It sounds like you caused quite the...excitement."

Kin cocked his head to the side when she chided him for thinking it was just a school. Ofcourse it was just a school, a school for all different races to come together and attend classes in peace. Atleast that's what the recruiter had told them when he had visited the circus.

Just because the school is made up of different races doesn't mean it should be any different from any other school. Stuff like that doesn't matter

Kin wrote innocently. Despite being a beastkin he was still on the outside as far as the workings of the supernatural worlds went. He didn't know about the deep seated hatred and conflicts between the different creatures, didn't understand why a place like this was so controversial.

I mean even if your a demon, so what that doesn't mean anything. When we first met you thought I was an Angel, but that didn't stop you from being nice to me at all

he quickly wrote out when she mentioned being a demon. However that was before she continued on about being a "bad" demon. Kin slowly lowered his note pad and listened as she was about to explain what she meant, but she was cut off by Royce suddenly sitting up like a zombie. Kin jumped a good foot in the air, and immediately hid behind Cole, shielding himself from the wrath he feared Royce would bring down on him. The man spoke, but Kin was barely comprehending anything, something about being from Royce's mind, and a bunch of other names. Was this one of Royce's split personas? If so then they were probably in alot of danger. When "Royce" brought up the subject of last night Kin's eyes widened. He shook his head frantically as Cole told him to go on and tried to pull Cole away and out of the room, trying to get them out of there fast.
