It would seem that it was going to have a real fight on it's hands ....as the Pineco would hunker down almost immediately. HIs entire body going rigid ...as he saw the metal bird. And the pokemon knew he was dealing with his better in such a match ...but running was for the weak and he was the one whom put the boo ....in boom.
He wasn't going to run not a single inch ....as he twirls once like a top as he tries to get his defensives into place. He wasn't going to be defeated ...not easily at least.

He had managed to avoid the attack and there was a smile of pure amusement on his face. Though how one could tell on a Stunfisk ...well ....more than likely ..no one could tell. As he would send out another spray of dirt with his fins, though this one would be heavier ..harder to avoid ....as what he churned up was more mud then ...dirt.
It went flying towards his opponent .....

Though the attack would hit it would once more ....it couldn't get though that metal hide ...as the Aron finally brought his attacks to an end. He would smirk only once as he flinches underneath his own pain ...from his own attacks before he would harden himself completely.
This was his actually attack .....and the next turn he would defend. He couldn't continue attacking forever afterall.

"Crowe, use Peck! Get a sense of him before going in for the real strike!" Raven commanded sharply, perhaps the first real order he'd given any of his Pokemon in quite some time. Perhaps it was the nature of their opponents, or rather the origin of it's species. A Pineco, native to his homeland, one that could even be found so very near to his hometown. It seemed to awaken something in him...he'd cast aside his family, but one could not so easily forget the place they'd called home for so many years.
Yellow eyes darting backward for on;y an instant, Crowe rolled his shoulders. Interesting. So the child could be brought out of his shell when prompted properly. Interesting.
Scraping one talon against the ground briefly, the Skarmory shot forward, wings held tightly to his body. No, this wasn't a battle where he'd need flight. Certainly an aerial strike wouldn't give him the proper feel for this particular opponent. Beak held straight, the Skarmory would thrust his entire body forward, lunging like a fencer would with his rapier.
This was a duel, and he intended to fight it at such.
Pokemon: Skarmory [M]
Name & Level: Crowe, Lv 5
[Temperament] Bold
Bio: Crowe was first encountered upon the second ring of Beginner Island amidst a crater. With wings that shimmered like steel, the bird no less landed upon the ground and challenged Raven to a duel directly. Battle fiercely against Genn, the conflict seemed to take an eternity as the two near immovable objects clashed. With a swift hand, Raven was able to throw a single PokeBall and capture the bird...with a slight chase soon to follow. Struck by the ball in the air, the capsule soon flew over the side of the crater, forcing Raven to pursue it by sliding down the side upon Genn's back. During the process of which the boy encountered a Sneasel...and soon both he and it were hanging off the crater by a branch. After a struggle and much dramatics, Raven was able to retrieve the ball, and save the little Dark-Type he had accidentally placed in a perilous situation. Since then Crowe has shown a strong sense of honour, reacting to nearly every battle as if it were a duel with that very thing on the line.

That peck would hit ...against the Pineco's side. Though the pokemon's gaze would only become stronger at the slight p***k ....he wasn't even hurt. Nothing more than his pride as he shuts his own areas around that beak. Keeping Crowe from immediately darting away ....as he would spin around and around ...faster and faster. And then using his own spin he would push off of the ground a bit and move to throw the pokemon into the ground ...tackling it hard as it's own body would follow if the Skarmory wasn't able to free himself from the Pineco's grasp.
This wasn't a pokemon that would go down easily.

[CRITICAL! +1 to Crowe's Offensive Rolls!]Of course in the eyes of Crowe however, the Pineco would go down quite easily. In fact, look! He was even plowing himself into the earth!
Digging his talons into the ground, the Skarmory would hold his ground. He didn't hold a particularly deep sense of worry toward the Pineco for the moment, for like a Rattata against an Onix, he had the advantage in both size and weight.
There was something else however. The steely bird had a particularly sharp beak given the nature of his species. Thus, there was a good chance that the motion would cause the Pineco would cause it to slip free on it's own.

It would be close ....though the attack would miss ....as the Pineco hit the ground on it's side. The spin did work itself way out ....as the beak was released as the Skarmory held his ground, but it wasn't before there was damage ...before there was some form of punishment for him holding out ....though the metal hide reduced it to nothing. That alone was his saving grace as the Pineco hit the ground and spun away as well..Twisting like a top to get back on his feet or ...at least so that he wasn't laying sideways as he looks over at them.
Eyes narrowed as he waited to see what the Skarmory would come up with next.

"He's gotten a taste, now it's time to serve up the main dish. Crowe, use Brave Bird!" Raven ordered, somewhat dramatically thrusting his arm forward in the direction of the Pineco.
Brave Bird...an interesting attack indeed. Some might have spun some pathetic nonsense about it gathering the energy of ones own bravery and transforming it into an attack to smite the wicked. Of course that was far from the truth. It was a reckless attack which pushed a Pokemon beyond it's natural limits. One that could do as much harm to the user as the target. You needed the courage to use the attack despite the consequences...to see only the goal before you. Bravery in the true sense.
Snapping his beak, the Skarmory would turn himself about to face the Pineco. Eyes gleaming, he'd speak those all too familiar words ">En Guarde.<" No further warning would be given. Lowering his head, straightening his neck and beak, the Steel-Type would sprint forward.
In an instant the metallic avian's entire body would begin to shine with a brilliant white light clearer then the rays of the sun; sparkling faintly as if he'd be hit with an entire packet of glitter. This was the power of Brave Bird...and he had ever intent of showing it to this Pineco!

(15 - 14 + 12 - 17 = -4+ 5 = 1x2 = 2dmg/5 = 0.4 no dmg to Skarmory)
The hit was horribly horribly light and it was only the fury of the power added by Brave bird that made it possible. The attack sinking beneath his skin just a bit to actually cause injury ...though it wasn't anything more than a bruise against his skin.
Though there was no fear int he eyes of the Pineco ...that was only a small wound and he could do so much better. He would twist lightly as he would once more ...aim his attack ....flipping over onto his side he would come at his opponent with a speed that could be quite frighten as he uses ....his entire body for this tackle.

Crowe HP: 22Soon however the Pineco would find a delays sting to his wound. The damage hadn't been so much greater then he'd expected, but that beak had sunk deeper then he'd originally thought. The insect's had taken a second to fully process the extent of the pain from that single sharp movement. Sometimes a knife did more damage coming out then it did plunging in.
It was about then Raven's own gaze would glint, his eyes blazing as he noted the weakness in the Pineco's movements after that last attack. "Crowe, end this with one more Brave Bird!" The child commanded with a wave of his arm.
Not bothering to speak this time, the Skarmory would simply nod, a sharp jerky movement of his head. This was a counter strike, and so his opponent would receive no warning beyond the Trainer's order.
Feather's shimmer with light from within rather then without, Crowe's talons would rip into the earth as he lunged forward, beak head aloft as he thrust it toward the Pineco. He wasn't an expert on the Pokemon's anatomy, but he was fairly certain he was aiming for the heart. Raven had commanded him to end this, and so he would.
Besides, he was feeling a tad peckish.

The attack would end it all ...that counter-attack as the Pineco fell. Though it would also hit it's intented attack as well ....as he went down heavily. The pokemon laying on the ground ..eyes swirling. It had been quicker than either would have expected, a single slip up that ended the match.

[EXP: 293/400]Cocking his head, Crowe would lean in toward his opponent for a moment, inspecting him closely. It would seem the insect was still alive...pity. He was hungry indeed, but it went against his personal code to slaughter an unconscious foe. Perhaps next time he would find a proper meal.
Turning about, the Skarmory would await the inevitable.
Responding, Raven would recall the Skarmory, placing the ball upon his belt and proceed forward. There was still one thing he wished to find in this place...

((A critical would only apply if it had been his attack turn ....and as a counter-attack those things aren't applied anyway. Also, I checked ...it is 73))
The click of mandibles as they walked away would tell of the Pineco's fate. THis wasn't a place for the weak as the Durant would take the Pineco for his own. A bug would afterall eat another bug especially in such a weaken state.
He would be left on his own to proceed as long as he doesn't bother to turn back around and try to battle her.
THe city itself would loom ahead of him. He was free to continue onwards or turn back around and go back into the forest. Either way, he had made it to the end of this area ....seemingly without too many problems.

Raven wouldn't step a single foot into the city. Pivoting sharply, the child would march back into the forest. He still had something to find.

Tsuki returned Bane. "I'm sorry for the disturbance I have caused. But as it seems the item you bear is more trouble getting than it's worth. So please, enjoy the rest of your day." he boy said as he turned around and walked away. Tsuki had made a large mistake when fighting this Aron. One Pokemon knocked out and another halfway. Then Prime was knocked out as well. They needed to get the heck out of here. Of course the Aron probably wouldn't like this and would give chase.
As such, he picked up his pace.
