A soft yawn, "...you seem busy." It was not quite an accusation, but rather slightly sad.
From the direction, the same voice whispered sighed slowly, "It would have been nice to get through this together."
From above, "I wouldn't say my position is entirely uncomfortable, but more or less undesirable given the company."

He couldn't see anything! Just the voice, floating in the air uselessly. The hunchback could do nothing but rush about, whining frantically like a babysat dog, baffled by the sound of his Master on the phone from a million miles away.

"IT IS BARTH!" Calder yelled, looking up and around. His ears turned about, picking the voice in all directions. Where was it coming from? Was it coming from some vent or pipe that was throwing off his voice. "BARTH! WHERE ARE YOU?!!!" He yelled, as if whatever pipe was letting him hear them, could send messages back. "He has to be close. We can hear him." Calder muttered to himself as he looked about frantically.
At the mention that they were busy, Calder shook his head quickly as if the boil could see him. "NO! WE'VE BEEN LOOKING ALL OVER FOR YOU! WHERE ARE YOU?!"
And then he mentioned his kidnappers! "NO! WE'LL SAVE YOU! I WON'T LET THEM PUT YOU IN ANY POSITIONS!"

"Wait a second, guys," Roch interrupted. "How do you know that's Barth for sure? It could be the house messing with your head--if it can change a room to all different sorts of s**t, it can probably mimic someone else's voice."

The look on Christof's face as he whirled around to glare at the rocker made it clear he was one word short of a punch to the face. Like he didn't know his own Master's voice.

If Chrsitof's glare didn't settle it, Calder gave one of his own. "Are you judging MY hearing when you just have those dinky little ears of yours. THESE!" To which he pointed at his much larger ears. " - can hear a lot better than YOU!" He spat back, and looked back up at the ceiling.
His heart wanted it too bad for it not to be Barth.
"BARTH?!"

As the patchwork searched the room, the voice came again, with exasperated fondness, "Christof..."
Turning his head, the hunchback would see not his master but a...mouth, the wall had formed a mouth to speak to him. Mouths began forming all over the hub walls, all softly speaking at once.
"...be careful." xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"...don't worry."
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx "...take care of..."
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx "...help."
XXXXXX"...stop."
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx "...calm down."
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx "...zzzZZzzzz..."
"...zzzZZzzzz..."
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx "...zzzZZzzzz..."
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx "...Calder...no."

He was silent as the "Barth voice" spoke, then finally ventured to speak again.
"I ain't sayin' to not trust Barth!" Roch said, holding up both hands. "I'm saying that... it's dangerous to trust anything in this place. I agree you should see if he can tell you where he is and stuff, but I wouldn't blindly barge in there, even if it IS Barth talkin'. He was captured by them, right? So they're probably there with him, even if it's not, y'know, the house."
He was probably going to get punched. Jackdammit, he should just let this team go kill themselves. They weren't his, anyway! But those mouths on the walls? Creepy. Could Barth DO that?

Herryk tilted his head to the side when the voice that sounded like Barth carried into the room. He immediately watched Calder and Christof. And then.. the.. the mouths.
That was creepy.
"Herryk.." he paused, looking bewildered. "What does Barth want us to do?"

The Igor's breath hitched in his throat, ignoring Roch's attempts to rationalize the situation. Christof was not rational. He blinked at the mouth that... definitely wasn't Barth's mouth and... honestly, what was a mouth doing on a wall anyway? But.. but it was speaking to him... and... and more were spreading like a horrible whispering pox. He could do nothing but give a tight whine, brows knit as he gingerly moved closer to try to make sense of the snippets of voice. Just... tell him what he needed to do to get him back... anything, anything...

Calder turned about, trying listening, hanging on every syllable that would be uttered for a clue of what to do and where to go. It was then that the walls broke into mouths, and Calder turned around and around until he grew dizzy with it all. So many mouths, and all of them were talking, using HIS voice.
Roc tried to speak reason to them, but Calder shook his head. He didn't know what to do, and he didn't want to just sit around. He didn't want to regret not talking to this voice if this was Barth reaching out to them. "SHUT UP!" He shouted, but not at the mouths. He glared at Roc. "WHAT IF IT IS HIM? I'M NOT GOING TO TURN MY BACK ON HIM WHEN HE NEEDS US! I DON'T CARE IF IT'S DANGEROUS! I'D RATHER TRY THAN SIT HERE AND DO NOTHING!!!"
He moved to the walls as they spoke, and jolted when Barth called out, said HIS name, and seemed to be hurting. No. Those damn fake-reapers! "BARTH!" He cried, rushing to one of the mouths. "WE'RE COMING! WE'LL FIND A WAY TO SAVE YOU!! TELL US WHERE YOU ARE?!!" ANYTHING! THEY NEEDED TO FIND HIM!!!

Roch just stared back at the insane kelpie boil, crossing his arms over his chest. Normally he was ALL FOR barging in with guitar blazing, but this--even a moron could see it was probably a trap!
Well... apparently a moron couldn't see it was a trap, because the ghouly boil was shouting about barging straight in at the word of hundreds of creepy mouths all over the walls.
Why, oh why, wasn't he back with his awesome little group of idiots instead of this angsty group of them?

The soft laugh fluttered through the rooms many mouths. The one closest to him yawned hugely...and then moreso...slowly it grew and grew until it filled the wall, from floor to ceiling. It smiled and asked, still using Barth's voice with a toothy smile, "Are you sure?"

Freya smiled, face full of sandwich, when she heard the voice. She was not frantic to reply, but she scrambled up to a seated position, immediately placing her hand over her bleeding stomach as she watched her team go into a stir crazy over it.
Roch was being candidly sane, but he was missing one thing - and only someone who'd already lost her mind could be rational enough to see it. She reached over and patted his knee affectionately.
"It doesn't matters if it's a trap." She whispered to the boil softly. "We have to try."
She stumbled to try and get up, failing several times. "We goes now, Herryk. Helps me?"

Christof shuddered, watching as the mouth yawned larger and larger before him. It was... surreal. But... but a clue was a clue and one step closer, even if it was a trap. He didn't know about the rest of his team mates, brows furrowing as he turned to motion to Freya, signing for Calder to translate, "Freya-too-wounded. Should-wait-here-with-loudmouth-reaper. Too-dangerous. Especially-for-weakened-first-year."
