Aria smiled as she dialed her mother. "Ch'yeah I'm staying."
Her mom answered on the first ring. "Aria! What's going on? We heard that Dante was rushed to the hospital and-" "He's fine, I think he's resting...or not." She smiled to herself and continued. "I'm gonna crash here tonight okay?" "Aria..." "Please?" "Alright, just keep me posted." "Will do."
Aria hung up and turned to Daren. "Done."

Daren watched her and was surprised at her mom's agreement. "You must not have many limits." He said this slowly, as he wondered what his own mom was doing. She probably didn't even know where he was yet. He sighed and closed his eyes, muttering tiredly, "You don't have to stay, Aria. I'll probably be sleeping most of the time, anyway."

Aria hopped off of the bed and sat back in the chair.
"I have many limits. It's really annoying." she sighed. "But I'm staying; you can't get rid of me that easily. Besides, I'll be in between rooms some of the time. Unless you'd like me to go because I'm being a bother." she winked.

Dante watched as she walked out of the room and was soon gone around the corner. He turned his attention to the nurse who was still standing there, but in awe of Dante and what just happened. "So what tests do I have to get done?" Dante asked as he sat in the chair. The nurse walked over to him and sat on the bed in a professional manner. "Well. The doctor wants to check your kidneys and liver some more. So I have to take you to the lab." Dante shrugged his shoulders at the answer. "I'll be right back with a wheel chair." the nurse said as she got up and walked to the station outside. She came back in with a new chair and Dante sat down. She rolled him out of the door and down a long white hallway. Dante felt as if he was being brought to the holy gates because of the vibe it gave off. His daydreaming was interrupted by the voice of the nurse.
"And you said that you didn't date." the nurse laughed a little bit. "Well we technically don't, but we like each other." Dante told her. She continued to push him down the hallway, but now she was taking turn after turn. "Why don't you date her then?" "Because I'm not sure what to do." he told her in a honest tone. "Come on. You seem like the ladies man. Just go with your gut." she said with a smile on her face. "I am the ladies man, but I was more of a player than anything." Dante paused for a moment. "Why does it matter to you?" "Because I would hate to see a woman get hurt like I did." she said
They turned into a room with lab equipment and began doing the tests. Dante zoned out and just let the nurse do what had to be done.

Daren frowned at her answer and then sighed himself. "You sure? I don't want you to be dead tired and have it be because you were worried for me." He gave her a serious look and reached forward, laughing when she winked at him. "Your too beautiful." He mumbled it, blushing afterwards. Victoria let tears run down her cheeks when the hallway came into view, and she turned the corner. She held a breath in, feeling her heart hurt from not seeing him and knowing he was in pain. She closed her eyes and continued walking, feeling as if she was going to faint also. She bit her lip and her legs suddenly weren't as fast as they should have been. Her heart slowed, but surprisingly she didn't faint. She reopened her eyes and shook her head, trying to get rid of the dizziness that was consuming her. She turned another corner and went down the elevator, her thoughts only on Dante and praying to God for him to get better.

After the last vial of blood was taken from Dante's arm, he felt the nurse's hands placing a bandage on the small hole, and he got back into the wheelchair. The nurse placed the vials of blood into a bag and sealed them. She then put the bag into some sort of container that was in her hand. She walked over with paper work and the container and had Dante hold them. "Are you ready Mr. Reynolds?" the nurse asked him taking the breaks off. Dante shook his head yes and they took the familiar path back down the hallway. Dante broke the silence between them with a simple question.
"What did you mean when you said get hurt like I did?" She sighed. "Well. I was engaged and the man I was with cheated on me. He was a player like you say you are." Dante was silent. He then opened his mouth. "I'm sorry that us guys are jerks." The nurse laughed. "If only all men said things like that. Then it would be a lot better." The nurse took Dante back into his room. He got into bed and the nurse smiled as she walked out the room. He laid there for an hour or two before finally falling asleep.

When Victoria got home, she was too numb and hurt to take a shower and change. She only went to sleep knowing that she would get to see Dante in the morning. Daren sighed and eventually fell asleep to the sounds of Aria moving around and softly talking to him. **TIMESKIP TO NEXT DAY.**Victoria opened her eyes groggily and saw weak sunlight filtering through her curtains. She jumped out of bed and winced when her legs hit the ground. She could feel the soreness in them, but she tried to ignore it as she put on her only good dress that showed off her curves. She put on her old, black faded flip-flops and put on a light jacket just in case. She went down and grabbed the keys to Dante's car, hoping no one stole it. She grabbed an apple and began eating it as she carefully drove to the hospital. She got out of the car, locked it, and held the keys in her hand as she quickly walked into the hospital building, going up to the secretary.

"Dante you're having serious medical issues. I can't just let you leave." Dr. Jacobs protested "Then I'll just sign myself out! You know how my family is. We are ones to stick to our word." Dante said in a serious, but quiet voice. "I do but you need to stay for observations." Dr. Jacobs stood his ground. "I'll come back to get tests done. It's either you let me leave or I'll let myself out. And if I let myself out you can bet damn well that I won't be coming back." Dante was now standing and showing he meant that he was serious.
Dr. Jacobs pondered for a few minutes. He couldn't risk letting a patient leaving and in turn possibly dying. But if Dante left on his own then he wouldn't be able to treat either. Either way, Dante could end up dying, but more so if he signed himself out. He pondered if he could even trust Dante to come back. After a time of silence Dr. Jacobs let out a sigh and looked Dante straight in the eyes.
"You're such an arrogant man Dante. Just like your brother. If I release you, will you promise to come back? If you don't then something serious could happen to you and to me. Do you really want your mom to lose both of her children?" Dr. Jacobs sat back down at his desk. "Yeah I'll come back. Just let me know when." Dante backed off a little bit. "Then so be it. I'll talk to discharge. Be ready to leave in thirty minutes. You better not let me down." Dr. Jacobs began filling out paper work. "I won't."
Dr. Jacobs pressed a button on his desk. A woman over an intercom came on, "Yes Mr. Jacobs?" "Send someone to come pick up Mr. Dante Reynolds from my office. I'm discharging him today." "Yes Mr. Jacobs." the intercom went off.
Shortly a woman came and got Dante. They took the elevator down to the floor that he was staying on. She pushed him in a wheelchair just in case something were to happen. After all he wasn't out of the hospital yet. The woman wheeled him into his room. She placed him by his bed. "I don't know what you did, but you must have worked some kind of magic." she said as she put on the brakes. She walked out of the room and shut the door. Dante took off his hospital clothes and changed into his dirty outfit from the day before. His jacket had dark red blood stains on it that were crispy. I loved this jacket too. Time for a new one I guess He put everything in his pockets and waited to be discharged.

Victoria was told that he was waiting in his room, waiting to be discharged and ready to go home. Surprised and a little worried, she nodded, signed herself in and hurried up the elevators, going into his room cautiously. "Dante? Are you still there? It's Victoria." She smiled weakly when she saw him in the wheelchair. "Did you break your leg now?" She started panicking already, biting her lip and rushing over to him, scanning him intently from head to toe for new injuries. "And what is this about being discharged?" She sighed. "You aren't ready to go home yet, Dante! Your still seriously hurt." She bent down so she was eye level with him, getting the weird feeling that she was acting like his mother without meaning to. "Sorry." She quickly apologized, looking down at his feet.

Dante laughed a little. "No I didn't break my leg. They didn't think I could walk on my own. Fools." he said as he glared out at the desk. He was kind of taken back when Victoria started to somewhat lecture him. "They're not just letting me go that easily. There's conditions involved with this." he picked up the paper work left on the table by his bed. He hadn't noticed it until now, and he looked it over, wondering what it was.
The paper was a list of guide lines that he had to follow in order to be released. He read it over and was surprised that it was so strict. 1. Patient agrees to come back for daily tests. If he/she fails to do so then Director Jacobs has the power to enforce the return of the patient. 2. Patient understands that once he is discharged this hospital is not liable for serious injury and/or death. Patient is leaving on his own will. 3. Conditions that patient made with Director Jacobs are final and unchangeable. If patient does not follow guide lines then Director Jacobs will take action. 4. This is a special note for patient: Mr. Reynolds. You know what is at hand. You know what can happen and I know you don't want any sort of consequence to come about because of your disregard for the guidelines. Remember you are your mother's only child now and you have a lot to live for. I expect to see you here every day at 11 am, 5 pm, and 9 pm. You must visit my office each time. -Director Jacobs
Dante sighed at this. He didn't know that there would be so much, but then again he considered it a better option than sitting in the hospital. A nurse walked through the door of his room with a clipboard and pen in hand.
"I see that you read the guidelines. Director Jacob already explained them to you. I need you to sign this saying you understand and will abide by them." Dante signed the paper without saying a word. He handed it back to the woman. "Thank you. You shouldn't even be allowed to leave for three more days. But Jacobs knows best apparently. Please come back ASAP if anything arises. I'd hate to see the last Reynolds brother in the obituary." Dante nodded and the woman walked out of the room. He looked back at Victoria and smiled. "Are you ready?" he asked as he stood up.

Victoria still didn't believe he was ready to go, but she bit her lip and stood, wincing when the soreness came back into her legs. She turned away from him so he wouldn't see the pain on her face, and she hoped he would really follow the rules that they had for him, not only for that but for his health. She sighed and prayed he knew what he was doing. She looked him in the eyes and said quietly as she watched the nurse walk out of the room, "You know what you are doing isn't the best for you." She wanted to say it wasn't the right thing to do, but she would sound like she was controlling him once again, and she didn't want him to get irritated with her and leave. Victoria didn't tear her eyes away from his as she crossed her arms and said in a firm tone, "I'm just worried about you." Her face softened after a few seconds as she suddenly felt her eyes feel wet with tears.

Dante walked over to Victoria and put his arm around her. "Don't be so hard on your self. I'll be okay...I promise." He wondered if he would really be okay now that he had no one to watch him. Yes he would report back and take the tests, but that didn't mean he couldn't have fun in between them. He wondered what he would do first after he got home. He still needed to look at houses, but he didn't really feel up to it. What he wanted to do was have a nice glass of vodka and sprite but he knew he couldn't do that. He needed to take his mind off of things, so he decided to clean his new car. Dante grabbed the keys off the table and started to lead her out of the room. "So what do you want to do first?" he said as he picked up the rest of the paperwork from the desk. He continued to walk with Victoria with his arm still around her.

Victoria blushed a little as she felt his arm around her, and it was a bit more hard to concentrate on his words at the moment. She glanced down at the floor when he would be okay. She smiled at his promise and looked up into his eyes once again, aching for her lips to touch his. She blinked in shock at the sudden thought, and she shook it away quickly with a slight blush. She let him lead her out of the room and she watched his face as he asked her what they should do. She thought a moment before saying quietly, "Whatever you want to do, Dante." She grinned reassuringly at him, still fairly conscious at the feel of his arm around her shoulder.

Dante pressed the call button for the elevator. The clear button lit up in a reddish color and the numbers above the doors began to light up. He stood in silence with his arm around Victoria and waited. The doors opened with a ding and a few other people were already inside and were conversing. Dante stepped inside and held the door open for Victoria. The words amongst the group quickly grew to a halt. Without looking back Dante spoke a few words to the group, "Don't mind us. You can keep talking." The doors closed once Victoria was inside, but the group remained silent. He pressed the button for the ground floor and then took a look over his shoulder. One of the guys looked familiar, but Dante didn't think about it too much. A few floors down the group got off and Dante caught a glimpse of a tattoo on the tallest one's arm. It was the same tattoo that Franco, one of Jake's friends, had on the same arm. Dante went to get off the elevator to go stop him, but the doors closed in his face.

Victoria glanced around and blushed when she saw most of the eyes of the people in the room were on them. She turned away, glad when Dante spoke up and told them to not mind the two of them. She bit her lip when no one continued their conversations, and she kept her head down and continued walking, feeling a bit safer in the presence of Dante. She glanced up and over at him, but he was looking at something behind them. She frowned and glanced in that direction too, wondering what was so important, but the doors closed and she couldn't see anything. "Everything alright?" She asked Dante, worry surging through her once again. She waited for his response, her eyes roaming his face to see if he was really okay.
