I think you're faking it to get Kaori to "Attend" to you. I've been running under the assumption that our characters have received treatment that let them act at near normal capabilities.

Servants and attendants who use the Medicine (Wound Treatment) skill on you guys. They have enough ranks to make sure they roll/keep enough dice that you aren't Down. You will PROBABLY be healed to full with magic tomorrow.
Of course, resting never hurts.

There are more than a few skulkers around. The Asahina, Kan, Hogai, and who knows what's going on with the Phoenix. Maybe Isawa Toyoko is snagging something of Kagae's to see if he'd make a good marriage match through some sleep over ritual.
