Nik walked into the arena with Leo following him. He didn't say anything and just went to sit in the stands while Leo looked around.

~Carolynne Tarns~ ~A lysonKing~ "Um hi," Carolynne greeted him and pulled out her hand, the pendent in her hand. "Gale wanted me to give you this to prove its his request to protect me." She told him. Alyson walked up to them, quietly, without saying anything.

Nik watched the people down in the arena and sighed. He had been happy this morning, but then he remembered his step dad and...he wasn't happy any more. Why had his step dad been so caring, maybe if he hadn't been, he'd still be alive. He thought about his half brother, Seth, and their mom, Tarnik, they had both been so scared when his step dad, Tom, had said he would take him to the camp and so sad when he told them Tom was dead.
"Will they forgive me?" Nik asked himself aloud. "Maybe I shouldn't visit them this summer..."

She moved away from everyone else and started walking towards her. Alyson still wasn't in the best mood to talk to anyone without being, at least partially, rude. "Well, you obviously don't care so why ask?" Nik asked the girl who had broken his thoughts. he was happy she had broken them though, to be stuck in horrible memories and thoughts is not a good pass time.

Being a son of Hermes made him quick with the come backs, but as soon as he had said it, he regretted it.

"Sorry, bad memories..." Nik mumbled and he turned to go. "And... I'm sorry for talking." he added his eyes full of sadness.
He had been so happy this morning, but now it seemed everything was falling apart, he was losing it. Head bowed from the weight of his being depressed, he began to walk away.

He sat down anyways and looked at her expectantly with a look of confusion. Who was this girl? What was her name? Why did she care?

"Okay here it goes..." Nik said taking a deep breathe. "I'm fourteen, soon to be fifteen, and I came here when I was ten. My step father brought me here after monsters attacked our house in Georgia. My mom and half brother stayed there because it was safer and still live there. We were chased the whole way here and it's hard to drive with monsters on your tail. Anyway, when we arrived in New York City the monster caught up with us and well...my step dad...he didn't make it. I honestly don't know how I got here, I just woke up on Half Blood Hill under the tree. I walked myself down to the Big House and I haven't left since.
My mom was really upset when I wrote them a letter about my step father's death, but she said she was happy I was okay. She invited me to see them this summer, but I'm just worried that she...blames me." Nik said quietly and sadly.
