{You look like you fell down a tree and hit every possible branch on the way down.}

[Traverse Town :: Second District Cafe]

Suzu's cheeks burned a brighter red when Mitsudo openly disobeyed her commands a second time. What did this boy have to lose that he could blatantly throw aside her orders? Did he not care to be dismissed from the Royal Guard? Apparently not. Her father would most likely excuse him from the guard with those kinds of actions but she wasn't her father. As she contemplated the different courses of actions, a voice seemed to ring out next to her.

Her hands curled into fists, obviously this new person didn't care for her anger either. Taking a deep breath, Suzu ripped her eyes away from the scene to see a tiny little animal like humanoid standing beside her. He could be cute if she wasn't already in such a sour mood. "They're fighting because one of them is an idiot who ought to be dismissed from the Royal Guard!"

~Window~

[Traverse Town :: Second District Cafe]

Window's spark of curiosity was ignited. A world that draws people to it? It implied a certain idea of fate that he was not entirely inclined to indulge. But maybe there was another explanation for it? A kind of energy attraction, possibly? It was something to investigate. Window was so deep in thought that he didn't notice the arrival of his meal until the aroma wafted up into his nose. And, oh, it smelled delicious and exotic! He picked up the spoon and tried the soup first. The cheese was similar to something from his world, adding a creaminess to the unfamiliar vegetable in the mix. It was a starch, most likely a root. It melted in his mouth, blending nicely with the cheese. Window decided that he liked it. In between bites of soup, Window continued his musings over the bit of information Nalo was able to provide. "The Heartless are like shadows? Are they made of substance at all, then? Or are they somehow an absence of light? What drives them to consume?" He began to get more animated thinking about it. "Are they intelligent? Well, I guess since you said that they came on a ship, they have a sense of hierarchy and can follow basic directives--I'm not sure how automated or advanced the ship was--and do they travel from world to world on these ships, or do they arise independently? And what is a 'gummi'? Is it a special type of rain, since you used it with the term 'shower'?" Window's inquisitive nature began to really show through, and it was little wonder why he had spent a majority of his life as a scholar. The room seemed to disappear, Nalo included, as his mind whirled away, exploring and investigating this new world he had stumbled upon. The universe was so much larger and complex than he originally thought, and he had only known his tiny corner of it. What else was out there? How much wonder and glory had he been missing?

Looking past Nalo, Window became starry-eyed. It was clear that he was in love with life, and all that was in it. His food was all but forgotten as he halfheartedly finished the soup and began to eat the tofu and rice. His demeanor perked up, and any minor change in growth began to be undone (again, not that anyone would notice right away). Nalo would have to snap him out of it before long if the Viera wanted a conversation partner back.

[You aren't good enough for her... drop dead buddy]

[Traverse Town : Second District Cafe]

Kuu got pretty ticked off at Mitsudo when he openly disobeyed Suzu, even though she told him not to fight with Sory. He put his hand on his sister's shoulder and said, "Calm down Suzu. Now's not the time to lose composure. Besides you don't look half as cute when you pout!" Kuu said the last part very jokingly. "You just leave this to your brother, I owe that damn midget a thing or two myself!"

Before setting off to attempt to stop the fight, He kneeled down to the Tarutaru and asked him for forgiveness. He whispered to Kuropo, "I apologize for my sister's tone of voice. She's usually a lot nicer, but jerks ya know." He then got up and proceeded to yell at Mitsudo, "HEY! What the hell do you think you are doing!?" He then started to walk a bit towards the brawl.

{Don't fear the dark... fear what's in it.}

[Castle Oblivion : Common Room]

He was caught staring, and not with just any member of the Conclave. Aiko was an older person, maybe older than he was, and certainly not someone he'd want to show any sign of weakness to. His eyes hardened for a moment, possibly betraying some emotion, but his careful mask of indifference was in place not a second after.

A newcomer had arrived, another one, and the general attention of everyone in the room had turned to notice. Not so for Zekvyr. He noted the newcomer, briefly, from his peripheral vision, but it was Vereor he was paying attention to. Tsurumi had backed down, wisely, and the crystal case that had trapped them had disappeared. That, however, was an obvious observation. Zekvyr saw the slip up. Vereor and Aiko were having a... power struggle, of sorts, which was no power struggle at all in the drow's mind, and his eyes went to the pocket containing the infamous mask as he thought this. No, the slip up was in the banter. The drow had long suspected Vereor had a means of seeing what all members of the Conclave were doing, and had acted, always, as if that was the case. Zekvyr had never before raised his blade to another member. The act of doing so only several hours ago was not an accident. Fal'navi had been goaded on purpose.

Somehow, Vereor could see what the Conclave was doing. Zekvyr planned to find out how.

Kuropo Guroko

{Judge me not by my size; For I'm much more then meets the eyes.}

[Traverse Town : Second District Cafe]

Kuropo had turned his attention back to the fight that was just about to break out between the two as he waited for a response. He had not expected though that he would get two responses, one of which was an explanation another was an apology. He turned his attention back to Suzu after she explained why they were fighting. He could tell she was not happy about the fight going on and neither was the one who apologized to him.

"An idiot you say? Oh what a shame; If only he were just a little bit more tame."

He then turned his attention to the man who literally kneeled down next to him to speak to him. He wasn't used to people doing that usually they just literally spoke down to him. However, the little being appreciated the courtesy that he felt it showed.

"It's quite alright; Given the situation I can see why she is so uptight."

[How can one possess the Heart of the sword, When one does not have a heart...?]

{Castle Oblivion : Commons Area}

Saito did not speak to anyone else who had address him, especially one of the group addressed him as "Fresh Meat". If any of this group tried anything against him the ronin would make them regret it. He had been one of the best of his land... before it was destroyed that is. He was fairly confident that he could take on anyone among them though he wouldn't openly challenge them to test it. He turned his attention to the person who finally addressed themselves as Vereor, since it seemed the others had no intention of revealing him.

"I was sent here as he finished off the world which was my home... To answer your question he did not tell me what your goal is just to come here unless I wanted to wander the nothingness forever."

{A heart shed for power is the only heart of worth.}

[Castle Oblivion : Commons Area (AKA Kitchen)]

"I didn't have to see anything. You spoke volumes in your responses," he replied softly to Aiko before taking a sip of his tea, listening as the samurai began to speak. So Kyozuto had obtained another world heart. Good. Things were moving along at just the pace they'd expected. The Transcendent Tyrant was likely now following the trail of the Strife-Bound Stalwart, whom the two had decided would be a great asset to their cause.

"You made a wise decision," he spoke, remaining seated in his chair (which some might have thought he treated as a throne; such assumptions wouldn't be too far off, but he never seemed prideful) as he eyed the man with his golden eyes. "The people you see before you are all brethren within the Conclave of Ruination. While each of them likely has their own personal reason for joining, the collective goal is, put simply... chaos. Power. Alone, they were but powerful rogues; united, we have enough power to do as we please throughout the universe."

"I am the second-in-command, titled the Veiled Gorgon. The odds of you meeting Kyozuto, our Transcendent Tyrant, again are slim; I lead in his place," Vereor explained, pouring tea into his cup once again. "And there is but one rule, aside from obeying your orders: treason or any such acts against your brethren will result in death."

"Assuming you agree to such terms... you are our thirteenth member, and I still do not know your name," he said, locking eyes with the fellow Nobody. "Nor a title or callsign. The same goes for you, Tsurumi."

NALΘ

"The heartless...They must have some sort sort of substance but then...they don't. They seem to be able to flatten like shadows. I...don't know. I'm just scared when they pop up. I don't think they are intelligent though. I use the term 'ship' loosely. It's possible that the whole ship was one heartless. As for the shower, it was more like a meteor shower. Gummi ships are made of pieces of the gummi shower, I think. I don't really know." Nalo brushed his hands through his furry head to ruffle his hair. "I'm really sorry to be so vague. Somebody, somewhere knows those answers but unfortunately, it's not me." Nalo stared back across the table to Window with the same happy look that he had. It wasn't a grin, it wasn't toothy. It was a simple smile; it was a content look that only come from peace.

After a moment, Nalo's smile started to fade as he came to the realization that night was soon coming and it would be cold. "My friend, once you're done, we should probably hurry to that clothing shop that Aerith mentioned. Night's coming quick." Nalo stood up to reach into his pocket for a pouch of money and placed a few golden coins on the table for the meal. As he sat back down, he deftly wheeld his chair a few feet closer to Window.

User Image"Well, be careful out there," he muttered in response, opening the glass-case table in the middle of the room to fix the items within. That quake had knocked around quite a bit. "The Heartless've been restless lately. If you gotta travel, get with a group or somethin'. Unless you gotta deathwish, that is."

[Moggie : First District : Accessory Shop]

Listened and nodded at Cid at his advice. He maybe old and grumpy but she was certain he was more informed of the outside world than she was.

"Do you have any idea where I can find these people?" she asked him, "Seeing how much those darn Moogles have hidden me from knowing anything. I know of no one in this darn place."

Then a slight worry about something popped into Moggie's mind. She had the feeling she should ask him about it.

"You won't tell them about me leaving are you? I am not exactly leaving with permission. As if I'd get it from them. I am 50 years old and they still treat me like a child!"

User Image"Huh?" he muttered, looking at her from the corner of his eye. Sneakin' away, huh? He thought for a moment before sighing. Rambunctious kids these days... "Nah, won't rat y'out. And I dunno what to tell you about a group. They got plenty of people around now who come and go. I suppose you should just look around or somethin'."

{[Elde]}

"Why does fortune seem to strike the most kindhearted people? Is everything just pre-ordained?"

.:[Traverse Town: Second District Café’]:.

“Bah, loyal to Sory… I suppose… I just wish he wasn’t so up tight” Elde very forcefully placed his cheek into his hand resting on the table squishing one side of his face as he said this. It was mostly the alcohol talking. “… I’m not exactly sure, Shinra’s offer seems too good to pass up, but if it would mean I’d be a loner well then… hrm I dunno… if I do decide to take Shinra’s ship and fly off Sory said he was okay with us splitting up for a while, so if you wanted to join me you could!” Really the only reason he had asked Sory was so he might have some company, people didn’t usually like hanging around with people who don’t keep promises. “Or I’m sure since Mr. Shinra wants this information pretty bad, he’d be okay with us finding our own transportation, even if it’s a bit slower, so we could still get something out of the deal and still go with Sory I suppose…”

Elde once again pushed himself up from the table standing and looking down at the violet haired woman as he continued “I just wanna GO really, I’ve been sitting around this town for far too long and besides… my buzz is wearing off…” he said a frown coming across his face. “Come on lets go see what the rest of this crew is up to while we make up our minds” he said placing his hands in his pockets as he blew a white bang casually out of the way of one eye as he motioned for her to follow. He left the room and strolled out witnessing a battle happening between Sory and a kid he believed he remembered seeing after the earlier fight.

He moved near them and watched them duke it out crossing his arms “How come Sory gets to have fun kicking the crap out of little kids… I wanna occupy myself to” he said to no one in particular as he continued to watch.

[How can one possess the Heart of the sword, When one does not have a heart...?]

{Castle Oblivion : Commons Area}

Saito nodded his head in understanding to Vereor's words. He had no intention of committing treason against the conclave just as he had no intention of fighting any of them without due cause. He looked at the members of the group, all of them varying greatly in race, sex, and undoubtedly abilities. He looked from each member accordingly, none of which who had told him who they were except for Vereor who's attention he focused on again.

"I see, My name is Saito Kuro and seeing as how I just destroyed my own home world in vengeance for their betrayal... I suppose my call sign will be the Strike of Vengeance chaos sounds like a fine indeed..."

[Moggie : First District : Accessory Shop -> Path to Second District]

"Geez thanks Old Man," Moggie said appreciatively, "You maybe a grumpy old fart, but you have always been cool in my book."

With that Moggie left Cid's shop. She stopped just outside the door and thought.

"So... where would I go in this city to find a bunch of people...?" she thought out loud, "There is that inn that people often mentioned when they stopped by. And that is the second district I believe... and that is that way..." she points in the direction a sign that read 'Second District.'

With that Moggie lifted herself with her wings and started to fly in that direction.

{A heart shed for power is the only heart of worth.}

[Castle Oblivion : Commons Area (AKA Kitchen)]

"Welcome, Saito," Vereor spoke, finally getting to his feet as he spoke to the new member. His tattered cloak fell around his ankles as he began to walk toward the door leading into the rest of the castle. "Follow me, and I'll show you to your personal quarters. Zekvyr, could you bring Zigmund to the basement labs and get him situated? Thanks."

Assuming Saito had decided to follow him, Vereor exited the room, which lead into a long, marble-white hallway. The door they'd just exited was on the side, a few feet from the end of the hallway; the hallways seemed to go on for dozens of meters in the other direction. On either side, there were two large double doors. The one that Vereor (and presumably Saito) was closest to seemed to be more grand, at least 12 feet tall, with the Symbol of the Conclave at the center of the doorframe top.

"You are currently on the world known as Castle Oblivion, a boundary world between the realms of Light and Darkness. It spans 13 floors and 12 basements, each identical with one key feature- aside from this 13th floor, floor has a Main Entrance and Exit. If you focus on memories of a location, the castle will form a Gate Card- when placed upon the doors, the area within will take the shape of your memories," he explained, pushing the doors open for the duo to enter through. "This way, however, lies the Oath of Affliction chamber- the location of the personal quarters."

The duo entered the dimly-lit area, which began with a large, twisting stairway that led upward. After a short period, the duo reached a space along the wall that had two unlit torches on either side.

"Touch the wall, and picture the room of your choosing," he said, stepping aside to allow Saito to do so.
