Ashley jumped slightly when the music stopped, taking a small step back. She thought for a moment they didn't want to play in front of anyone, considering they'd started while no one had been around. But shortly after he spoke and she blinked once, tilting her head slightly to the side before very slowly approaching the stage. Now she was no longer in the back, but instead at the middle of the room.
And then they started up again, and her eyes widened slightly. She'd only been to one concert before, as sad as that sounded. This probably wouldn't qualify as one to some, but to her it did. A private concert, which made her feel strangely special. This new song wasn't as familiar to her, but it still sounded really cool. She found herself smiling slightly, even though her face had flushed red at being discovered.

Just as the song ended, Itamis cigarette burned out. he spat out the bud, exhaling a tremendous stream of smoke. "Classic." Suddenly it started, that one Riff That every guitarist Knew. The treble joined, followed by backup slowly. The drums started playing lightly. The bass barely noticeable. This was it.
"We all came out to Montreux On the Lake Geneva shoreline To make records with a mobile We didn't have much time Frank Zappa and the Mothers Were at the best place around But some stupid with a flare gun Burned the place to the ground Smoke on the water, fire in the sky
They burned down the gambling house It died with an awful sound Funky Claude was running in and out Pulling kids out the ground When it all was over We had to find another place But Swiss time was running out It seemed that we would lose the race Smoke on the water, fire in the sky
We ended up at the Grand Hotel It was empty cold and bare But with the Rolling truck Stones thing just outside Making our music there With a few red lights and a few old beds We made a place to sweat No matter what we get out of this I know we'll never forget Smoke on the water, fire in the sky"

Ashley inched a bit closer to the front, about halfway between it and the center of the room now. She remained standing though, head tilted very slightly to one side and her arms folded across her chest. She definitely recognized this song, and couldn't help smiling again. It made her think of when her friend had come over and played it at five in the morning, in her basement. Oh man, she missed those days. Stupid power...
She shook her head slightly and then refocused upon the song, watching quietly. It was so odd... Were they really all like... brothers or something? All identical? She rarely saw twins before, let alone this. At least they wouldn't get lonely, right? They all seemed to have come here together. Of course, Ashley failed to realize three of them were duplicates the first had made. When the song ended, she was about to clap, but paused since she wasn't sure if they were really finished or not. She didn't want to interrupt if they were going to do another.

Itami held up his hand, signaling for two more songs. He hit a note, and then The others followed. The voice was slow, following the music. It slowly rose, until it met the notes the guitars were making.
"And with the early dawn Moving right along I couldn't buy an eyeful of sleep And in the aching night under satellites I was not received Built with stolen parts A telephone in my heart Someone get me a priest To put my mind to bed This ringing in my head Is this a cure or is this a disease
Nail in my hand From my creator You gave me life Now show me how to live
And in the after birth On the quiet earth Let the stains remind you You thought you made a man You better think again Before my role defines you
Nail in my hand From my creator You gave me life Now show me how to live
And in your waiting hands I will land And roll out of my skin And in your final hours I will stand Ready to begin Ready to begin Ready to begin Ready to begin "

Ashley blinked, eyes following the male's hand as he lifted it. Then she glanced back at him, inching a little closer to the front of the stage as they started up another song. She stayed completely silent, just listening in a slight fascination. At the other concert she'd been to, she'd had grass seats, which were pretty far back. But now she could see and hear everything clearly, no one's random screaming to block out some of the music.
But now that she was closer, she noted another thing. What'd she'd previously though to be part of his outfit was now made out to be wings. Big, black, wings. Her eyes widened again as she stared. Due to her not too great eyesight, and contacts that didn't fully fix the problem, she hadn't realized until now. Being a regular human, or at least mostly regular, and growing up in a normal town for all of her life until now, she wasn't at all used to seeing people with cat ears or large wings. But she realized she was staring and dropped her gaze to the ground for a few seconds.

Itami seemed kinda sad. Then he smiled. He knew something. This song was the last one, and he knew exactly which one he should do. he hit a note, and bent it slowly. creating a light trilling noise. The rest joined in, playing a slightly quick song with a catchy beat. "This is our last song, and we want to dedicate it to our audience. Thank you for listening!" The song began again. "now here i go, hope i don't break down, i won't take anything, i don't need anything, don't want to exist, i can't persist, please stop before i do it again, just talk about nothing, let's talk about nothing, let's talk about no one, please talk about no one, someone, anyone you and me have a disease, you affect me, you infect me, i'm afflicted, you're addicted, you and me, you and me i'm on the edge, get against the wall, i'm so distracted, i love to strike you, here's my confession, you learned your lesson, stop me before i do it again you're clear - as a heavy lead curtain want to drill you - like an ocean, we can work it out, i've been running out, now i'm running out don't be mad about it baby, you and me, you and me, i want to tie you, crucify you, kneel before you, revile your body, you and me, we're made in heaven, i want to take you, i want to break you, supplicate you, are incurable, i want to bathe you in holy water i want to kill you, upon the alter, you and me, you and me."

Ashley took another small step forward, close enough to somewhat clearly see the male's expression. Was that... sadness? But then it passed and another song started, after he'd made a shout out to the audience, which happened to be just her. Her face flushed red again, for no apparent reason, but she didn't look away this time. Instead she watched uietly, listening to the words of the song he sang. It was somewhat creepy... but it still sounded good all the same. What was that song? It sounded sort of familiar as well. And then she realized it was in fact the last song, and slowly brought her hands together to clap a few times, just standing there and suddenly feeling quite stupid, though she wasn't sure why. Her face was even still red..

Itami smiled, and snapped his fingers again. His copies trembled, then truned black and returned to his shadow. Itami disconne ted his guitar, then slung it over his back. he took a small bow to her applause, then walked directly to Ashley, who was at the edge of the stage. he knelt down. "Thanks." He said with a wink. "Didya really like it? Cause it was really hard learning 4 different parts."

Ashley continued watching, but gave an alarmed jump as three of the guys began trembling, and then suddenly turned black and shifted into the original's shadow. She stared in shock for several seconds, and then slowly looked up at the remaining as he approached. At first she said nothing, but then she blinked a couple times to return her eyes to the regular width, so they were no longer widened. Her cheeks were definitely still red as she slowly nodded. "Yeah, it was really good!" she said, and then tilted her head questioningly. "What were... those?" she asked uncertainly, waving her hand slightly to indicate where the three copies had stood.

"Me. My different personalities actually. The one on drums was angst, on lead was happiness, on backup was rebellious, and i was myself without them on bass." He smiled. "Why? Are you curious?" He looked ashley over for a moment. He blushed just a bit when he noticed how cute she was. "Hey...Youre Cute. Whats your name?"

Ashley listened quietly, her face a look of awe. How was that even possible? Could he just say, 'man, I don't want to be sad...' and then kick that emotion out for a while? She found herself smiling at the thought, and she nodded her head slowly at his first question. "Yeah, a little..." she admitted, and then froze, smile fading as he called her cute. "No I'm not!" she protested automatically, and then paused for a second before glancing at the ground, her face flushing red. "It's Ashley. And yours?" She continued looking down, feeling awkward now. She wasn't cute... She was really ugly.

(shutup you.) "Itami. And Yes you are, even if you dont think so. at least to me..." He sat down on the edge of the stage. "so why'd you come here? were you bored too?" He looked at her face curiously. Then he looked down at her shadow, observing it, reading it like a book. "You have powers of the mind dont you?...Your shadow says so. She says alot of things. She seems..nice. Are you nice like her?"

[Uwah? Dx] Ashley blinked, glancing back up at him slowly. She nodded slightly, but her face showed she didn't really believe him. She kept from arguing any further aloud though and simply watched quietly for a moment until he asked a couple more questions. "I guess I was bored, yeah.." she admitted. She followed his gaze downwards, finding herself staring at her shadow. She watched it curiously for a moment, until he spoke again. Then she stared at him again, looking confused. "My shadow... did?" she asked, lifting one of her hands and wiggling her fingers, watching as her shadow did the same. Then she shrugged slightly. "I guess so," she said with a small laugh. Her old friends had called her nice, at least. "And yeah... I can read minds and... move things," she said uncertainly, not letting him know she couldn't control it. After all, maybe her shadow had already said that? Wow, that was an odd thought.

"Youre confused as to how your shadow said that, arent you?..Its simple. Your shadow knows you better than you do. Its been with you since birth hasnt it? its the best friend anyone could ever ask for...if they knew how to talk to them. Sadly, nobody does..but me, and my family." Itami held up a hand and it turned black. He pushed it into his own shadow, as if it was a hole, and it seemed to disappear into the floor. "Because i am part of the shadows." Itami smiled slightly, observing ashleys face for a reaction.

Ashley glanced back at him, staring almost blankly. Man, she was easy to read. He continued on, answering the question he'd just asked and she listened quietly, obviously interested. When his hand turned black, her eyes widened again and she leaned forward slightly to watch as he pushed it into his shadow and it vanished. "...wow," she breathed quietly, watching as if transfixed. That really was amazing, much cooler than anything she could do.
