The noble got down to his knees and pulled the girl closer. "I'm sorry I asked such a hurtful question.." he apologized, "I know how you feel though. I never knew my mother that well and the closest thing I have to her are portraits" Ephraim raised a hand and cupped her cheeks, wiping away the tears that were starting to form at the corner of her eyes. "C'mon, tears don't suit a cute girl like you. Where's that smile from earlier?" He questioned, hoping to cheer her up a bit. His father talked so fondly about his mother that the closest thing he really had to her was what he told Amara, portraits. It hurts alot for a child not to know their parents or see them at all.
(( DDD: No sad Amara ;-; make Ephy cry later too *he's just holding it in XD! * ))

"Glad to have you on board, Bartre!" Ed replied enthusiastically. She flicked her black hair back and rolled her shoulders. "I'll gladly be proceeding. Come on, Am -- "
Ed stopped short to see Amara had met the ruler of Renais from the continent of Magvel, Ephraim. This guy she actually recognized, because...well, he was mentioned often in historical texts that had been brought to the library. Additionally, he'd been hanging out quite a bit.
Ed allowed them to speak, leaning her weight onto one foot and propping a hand against her hip. She listened to their conversation, just grinning at the cuteness of it all, until she realized that there were tears perching on Amara's lashes. Her face fell.
"...Oh, that poor girl," she sighed.

"Thanks for the offer Sue,"Melethia explained,"But I will only need one bow user. I plan on taking Arashe. My plan is to take Tibarn on in the forest. It will be harder for Tibarn to see anyone besides me with the tree coverage. It also gives me less to worry about. A person on a horse is going to be harder to hide in there."

"So you're going to combat with one of your... corrupted comrades." Victoria reasoned. "As you know, I'm the only one who can change them back... so I shall accompany you." The bishop knew Meletha and Arashe had no choice in the matter. She did make sure that she had a full lightning tome, her trusty Mend staff, two elixirs, and what she dubbed the "restorative tome". Also in her pack she carried something she hoped she wouldn't ever have to use... the rescue staff. She had spent two long nights preparing for battle, now at least she knew against whom.

Ashnard stepped forward as soon as Victoria had spoken. "I shall come as well," he stated, "Just in case he gets too close. I also know how he fights and how strong he is." That, and I want a chance to fight him again. It seemed like the behemoth of a man was going to come no matter what.

"No I only need 2 people for my plan to work. Arashe and Victoria are enough." She said. "I don't want more people then what is needed."

Amelia tried not to dwell on the fact that she had been (mostly) ignored, save for initial decisions of who would be able to get to their friends the best. Of course, why listen long to the General? She'd nearly gotten killed at the hands of one of their darkened friends, after all. What a moron. What a weakling. Amelia paused, shook her head slightly. I really need to calm down and stop mentally beating myself up. Overreacting t**t.
"That's all fine and well," Amelia said, looking from Melethia to Victoria, then to Ashnard, then back to Victoria and Melethia. "and I'm going to accompany you, too. I don't care what you say, Melethia. Three people in all are not going to be able to take on Rei, Abel, Nils, Tibarn, and Asami. Just give me enough time to suit into my armor." Amelia paused, shook her hand a little. The crescents in her palm stung. "I'm going after Rei. You all handle Tibarn. There's no point to devoting all of our energy towards one person if we've got four men to rescue and one b***h to destroy."
Amelia turned, paused, then looked at the others. "Please... it'll just take a minute. Wait here." With that, she set off at a full sprint for the armory room, where she knew her gear was hanging, polished and waiting like it always was before the looming threat of battle.

"Yeah, you can't expect to be able to first take down Tibarn THEN the others when they come out with only three people." Aran had finished his breakfast and was now standing near the wall, he wasn't exactly volunteering himself although he wanted to be able to help. But a three man team was suicide, it was.

"I was only planning on fighting Tibarn." She said. "My plan all along was to fight Tibarn, and only Tibarn. I have my reasons."
"This though...will not satisfy me for what I want." She told herself, "I want the thrill of a battle, but not like this Tibarn. I want to fight you fairly."

Well now. So they were planning a mission to go out and stop what was going on, were they? A sort of an all-out move to try and stop them before it got any worse? That was actually a pretty good idea, but NOT with three people. That would be more than a little stupid. A forgotten character listened as they set up their plans, and Amelia - sort of his niece now, he supposed - burst out telling them that she was going to go with them and try to take care of Rei by herself. Rei. . . wasn't that the shaman kid? Well, now. He couldn't fight, but he did have other powers. . . Kishuna retired to the armory entrance and waited there. She'd have to come eventually.
And, when she did, the morph was there waiting for her. "Amelia," he said with no preamble. "You're going after Rei, aren't you? I'll come with you." His tone was serious for once; and he was also wearing a shirt this time. That meant he was DOUBLY serious. "It isn't as if I can do anything else here, and Rei is the only magic-user among them. I want to help; and I'm certain Renault would be angry if he knew I had the chance to go with you and I let you go on your own."

Amelia didn't slow her pace until she reached the hallway where she knew the armory was, stumbling before getting into an easy, loping walk. She didn't realize Kishuna was there until she was a few yards away; without the bare chest, he looked rather different than usual. It was just so typical to see him shirtless, y'know?
She stopped when he began to speak, one hand at her side, other smoothing down invisible wrinkles in her skirt before dangling uselessly at her side. She didn't try to speak while he explained his intentions, just listened quietly. When he finished, she paused for a moment. Amelia wanted to make things right, to get some sort of balancing-out of the loss she'd taken at Rei's hands, but if she went alone... she'd just be a hypocrite. And Kishuna would certainly be of help.
"All right. I'd love for you to aid me." Amelia smiled, stepped politely around Kishuna, and bowed her head. "Thank you very much." Without another word, she went to the stand where she'd put her armor before and began to assemble it on her own body without a word, fingers expertly latching belts and tightening straps over various body parts.

Rhys smiled politely and started moving upstairs towards his room. "Together we Ride, no? It's not like they're not going to work together, either. Nils and Rei already have. Besides, I see no healers volunteering," he added as he trudged upstairs.
He peered around at the things he'd collected inside his room. Rhys was generally tidy, and kept his room spartan--years of being with a mercenary group taught you NOT to carry anything unnecessary. Inside his room was just a random assortment of staves, a few holy tomes, assorted herbal remedies, and spare sets of clothing. The Light tome he had was, simply, getting beat up from all its days of use, and he wanted something that could be a bit stronger in a pinch--Shine. The tome was a bit heavier than Light, and Rhys could certainly feel the difference, but it wouldn't slow him down very much. That left the staves--every Bishop worth his salt needed staves. He promptly seized hands on a Physic staff--with its range, it would be VERY handy in any fight. Let's see... Rescue... Rescue...
His eyes alighted on a familiar staff instead. It was several years older now, but it hardly looked any worse for wear, mostly because Rhys made sure that a Hammerne worked it over whenever it appeared ready to fall apart.
The Ashera staff... that's right, I wielded that once, not too long ago. Mist didn't have the level of staff experience that I did, so I got to keep it, since I was the only one who could use it. But, would it be a good idea...?
He scanned his other staves. A Warp staff could be found in his rather impressive inventory, but no Rescue, sadly. It had never been needed, so it had been sold back to Aimee at one point.
I'll take it, then.
Rhys took the Ashera staff from its place on the staff rack, his hands moving around an attached leather strap. Moving it around his right arm and letting the staff rest at an angle on his back, he went back downstairs.

The morph simply stood in the doorway and smiled. One hand held a long, thin knife, which he tossed in the air, flipping and catching, over and over again. He did need a weapon, after all; and a knife was easy to use and lightweight. "Well, just tell me when you're ready to go, kid," he called back over his shoulder. "I don't have anything to get, so I'm ready to go whenever." Then Kishuna realized that shortpost was short so he decided to lengthen it with needless narration.
Well, this would be fun. His first battle he'd been in since he was revived. He hadn't done any sort of fighting in forever; even when Eliwood's group had attacked him he'd kind of sat there and been beaten in the face. Repeatedly. That had been kind of annoying. So he didn't really know what he was doing now, or how well he'd do. But, he might as well try. He couldn't just stay off the battlefield. Not when there were vague acquaintances to be saved.

Arashe had slipped off into his room in the verbal chaos, rummaging through his things. The Ichival was placed gently against the wall in a corner, golden designs shining in the sun. Lady Ayra said not to use it, so I'll trust her judgement. She is a hardened warrior, after all... Arashe grabbed his Hero's Bow, a gift from his father. Making sure that the string was tight, and that it was in good shape, he grabbed the respective arrows and made his way back downstairs.
"So, I've got a bow that'll do the job. When do we leave?"

Amara sniffled, looking at Ephraim with (now) tear-filled eyes. "I-It's alright..." She managed a weak smile, nodding slowly. "I'll be alright, Ephie. Thank you..." She wiped away the newly-forming tears with her sleeve, leaving her arm over her eyes for a few moments before lowering the arm and giving Ephraim a hug.
