"Lin will be staying here a bit, because Miyu still has to be here for a few more days to make sure the children are okay," Donovan explained.
Since he went ahead and made his visit, he could probably go home tomorrow. Besides if he had a feeling he just might regress around Ruran anyhow.

Celebor smiled and nodded. "Then if you see her before you leave," he said softly, "could you tell her I'll be over to the ranch tomorrow at some point to visit? Unless she wants to come here instead, which would also be nice. If I head to the ranch I won't be taking Ruran. I'm not sure she would want to meet him, but it might to him some good."
He chuckled softly. He knew how Lin could be, and he knew that it would be good for Ruran if Lin was sharp with him.

Donovan tried not to laugh, but he was snickering. Seriously what he wouldn't give to see that, but still... he really should be getting back to Kara tomorrow.
"I'll tell her to visit you, she could use the distraction, and she would probably want to meet Adan's kid, from what I heard. I haven't met the boy, but the two grew up with each other, even though she more can relate to Timaeus these days."
This, he suspected was only because Adan and Ahren had grown up without her, she was barely a teenager to their adult.

Celebor smiled warmly. "Well, she always has a place here, I'm sure you know that," he told Donovan softly. "Though from what I hear, she's all grown up now. I would imagine she'll be leaving for her trip with Earendil soon enough, I'm sure."
He reached over to shake Donovan's hand again. "At any rate, it was great to see you again," he grinned. "Hopefully next time we can visit a bit longer. Good night."
"Good night," Niyana smiled, nodding her head politely once again.

Donovan wished he hadn't been reminded of that, but a promise was a promise and she wasn't a child anymore. He shook Celebor's hand and nodded back to Niyana.
"Good night, both of you."
He returned back to the Ranch making preparations to return home the next morning. This he did, the moment the sun rose, but not more insisting to Lin she get out and visit the valley. Though seeing as he woke her up, he got a pillow in his face for his troubles.
Lin, after a good sleep (though way too long in her opinion) she was ready to face the day. That is after she scrubbed the dirt off her skin and dressed into clean clothes. She was pretty sure she missed saying bye to her father, but it would be only a few days she was sure.
"Now... he said something about a visit," she murmured, "Couldn't he have waited until I was more awake to tell me?"
With that thought she decided she would do that visit now, instead of putting it off for later in the day because for the life of her she really hadn't been paying attention to what her father said.

Timaeus had woken early that morning, despite the journey, and at the moment he was waiting outside the ranch house for Lin to appear. He had been told that she was going to be visiting the valley that day, and he was planning on offering to go with her - since he had planned to head out there anyways eventually.
It was a bright and sunshiny day, already warm despite the early hour. Timaeus was glad. It meant that it would at least be a cheery day. None of the doom and gloom of the storm clouds that were so common at this time of year.

Lin hadn't expected Timaeus to be waiting, but it was a pleasant surprise.
"Timaeus, good morning!"
She felt more awake now that she was out where the fresh air was, and the sun was warning up the day.

Timaeus smiled warmly at Lin. He was glad to see she seemed to be doing so well. Then again, a good night's sleep was always able to work wonders.
"Good morning," he said cheerfully to her. "You look great ... did you have a good sleep, then?"
At the very least, she didn't seem as haunted as she had the day before.

"Very, though I think it was from exhaustion more than anything else," Lin murmured thoughtfully, "At least until Dad came in."
Couldn't he have left a note like a normal person? Well that might have been asking for a bit much.

Timaeus chuckled. "I heard. Going to the valley, I understand. As it so happens, I'm also on my way there ... so I thought I'd walk you over."
He grinned and held out one arm to her. "What do you say?"

"That would be great," Lin took his arm, "At least then I won't feel lost, not that I would get lost, but seeing as I wasn't really awake at the time. I have no clue why I am going for a visit."
Though she had to wonder why was Timaeus going? Probably to visit one of the other 'children' there. They weren't kids anymore, but they had all grown up together.

Timaeus shrugged the shoulder of the arm that Lin wasn't holding on to. "I guess we'll find out when we get there," he smiled at her. "Though you haven't met Adanedhel's son yet, have you? Perhaps that's it."
Or maybe it was to see Rhea, who had grown up. Or maybe it had something to do with that other child that he had seen yesterday, the one he hadn't recognized. That had been with Miyu.

Lin blinked, "Adan has a kid?"
Well that actually might answer her question, after all she spent way more time with Adan than any of the boys. She could still remember some of the things we did, back when Aragost was teaching Adanedhel.
"That must be it... I know Dad took a visit yesterday."

Timaeus laughed. "Five years old already," he grinned. "He married Rose ... I guess most of us could see that coming, though we all wondered where Adonijah fit into the equation. Still, things are going pretty well all around. Adanedhel and Rose are happy together, and Adonijah is quite the doting uncle."
He chuckled softly.

When Lin thought back on it, she shouldn't have been surprised at all. Everyone knew how much time he and Rose spent with each other and it was good to hear that Adonijah had come out of his shell.
"So who is he more like? Adanedhel or Rose?"
