"Thank you, Scott. I'll go let Porter know the good ne---" Teagan said, rising out of her chair, but she was dragged off before she could get the rest of it out. When her head finally stopped rushing and her stomach finally caught up with the rest of her body, she realized they were going to..well, at the Carnival.

"Dammit, Sonya!" She cursed under her breath. "Some of us aren't really in attire to be at the carnival." She looked down at her clothes, scowling because they were wrinkled from sitting in her locker and she was still a little sweaty from training.

"Screw it." She said, giving in and leaning against the railing watching the bumper car fiasco with slight interest more or less watching other people in the group have fun.

"Yea!!!" She spotted Teagan. "Grab a partner and a car Teagan!" She pointed to the idle Jamie with a smile. She looked at Raze. "I drive!" domokun


Cathy blinked at him before smiling. "All right!" On sheer impulse she gave him another kiss. "I've got the sexiest partner here now!!!" She grinned at him before leaning in. "Wanna drive?" She offered her arm still hanging off his shoulder.

"I hope so too. Some of our family here are a bit... wild. Such as that girl who ran by." Regina said with an apologetic shrug. "It's for practicing your skills or finding new ones. It's also a great place to practice team work, but to start out I think Logan was more concerned with seeing everyone's ablities. Just curious, but what's your specialty?"

"Now that burns," Porter said to himself when their simulation finally ended. He got together with Logan after the end of the session and gave him his assessment of team members. Porter's next concern was Tetsuo who had just passed out from the exhersion.

"Back to the Infirmary, my friend," Porter said and picked the boy up again to take him to see McCoy or an assistant. Logan had followed him and Porter remarked, "We are going to have to work with him on his transformations. It reminds me of Rahne Sinclair... Wolvesbane had a problem with this as well."

Logan agreed and stayed in the Infirmary to make sure his student would be okay. Porter then went to find Regina. The day had been too long and too busy for him. It was time to relax for a moment before he had to spend his night with paperwork.

"He manipulates the earth into weapons and some type of armor," Porter answered the question Regina had asked. Turning to Kade and put out his hand, "Jonothan Porter, one of the teachers and trainers here. I've read up on you. Your abilities sound very interesting."

"Would either of you be intersted in heading to that fall carnival Sonya flew by about?" He asked. He really did want to take Regina. It had seemed like ages since they had done anything together.

Regina nodded to Kade's power. "That sounds pretty handy.I wouldn't mind going. What do you think Kade? Up for a night of socializing with the rest of the members of this household?"

It did sound like fun. She remembered the first date they had on the ferris wheel and then under the tree. Innocent fun. She was already getting drained by the training and thoughts of possible fights here and there. Sometimes she wondered what the point was, but then she remembered it didn't matter; they'd have to live with the abilities anyways.

Gen followed Porter and Logan to the infirmary. Teagan was gone, she had seen her being dragged along to that carnival. Regina was about to go too. She just didn't like carnivals. Her emotions went wild during some of the rides and each time she'd gone in the past she had snowed the place out. She'd rather not worry about that this time, even if she did have control over her powers for the most part.

"I think it's like any carnival. Ferris wheel, silly games, bumper cars, and lots of food that isn't good for us but we eat anyways." Regina explained with a grin. "We're not really from around here either, most of the people living here aren't. We all just end up here... it's kind of a safe haven. Most of the time."

While Jacen lay on the ground, he couldn't help but to scream in agony. The wrenching of his arm and subsequent wristflip tore up some ligaments in his wrist, and he knew for certain that there was a broken bone in his forearm. "....That......was......not......" Slowly rolling to his side, and standing up carefully, he let his right arm dangle lazily to the side. Everytime he tried to move it, lift it up, there was a shot of pain that hit his brain before he could try.

"Grrr...My arm is fine!," Jacen said sharply as he held his arm close to his body.

"It doesn't look like it."

"You of all people should know that looks can be deceiving!!!" With that, Jacen fired a distractionary blast at Penance's feet, which she dodged. He knew she'd dodge it, but it gave him ample time to stick his foot deep into her gut, knocking her back a couple of more steps. Don't hold back, he thought as he pressed his assault. With each strike, his ferocity grew in abundance. With each move, the adrenaline from the fight and pain combined drove him to try and finish this. When he saw that Penance was taking a swipe for his head again, he ducked, and spun around to meet the heel of his boot to the side of her head. Though when she was struck, she met her flailing backhand strike to Jacen's face again. The pain only drove him further.

"Bad move," Jacen remarked as he regained his footing and looked Penance straight in the eye. On his face, he did have a few mounting bruises, and one cut that was starting to trickle blood down the side of his face. Thankfully, he didn't take a shot to the eye...yet.

"What was?," Penance asked drawing in deep breaths into her lungs.

"Breaking my arm." Again, he attacked, this time opting to hit low with a couple of kicks, before instantaneously summoning his blade and hitting her with a heavy swing aimed at her side. The shot was blocked, but Jacen could see she was off-balance slightly. With deft thought and action, Jacen vined his leg around her's, shoved his shoulder hard into her chest/throat/face region, and knocked her down on her back. Then, with one smooth turn around, Jacen had his blade levelled at Penance's throat.

"Do you give up?," he asked her.

"Do you know the answer to that?", she retorted and flipped Jacen hard onto his injured arm. Again, he howled in pain, and didn't notice Penance getting up to her feet. When he got up to fight again, he was met with a heavy side kick aimed right at his arm. There was a loud snap, and instant results. Jacen's eyes grew wide with pain and he just clenched his teeth. If his arm wasn't broken before, it was now.

"You'll.....you'll regret that...," Jacen said, his voice growing a bit more vicious in tone. If nothing else, he was ten times more determined to win now than before. And he felt like he had to use any means necessary. Seeing that they were in a construction zone, Jacen hatched a small idea. After clutching his injured arm to his abdomen, Jacen half ran away from the fight to where he stood by a scaffolding that was holding a few sheets of wood and other various building materials.

"Come on....come on......bite, lil' fishy," Jacen said quietly as he waited and watched Penance approaching him.
